yeah and with a stupid canon advert to it?!? my first impression was that this some sort of in-game advert for canon digital camera / mobile phone or what-not.. but then I started thinking: who's ever gonna buy anything that produces this kind of shitty image?!
incredibly annoying.. why did they do this..?? nostalgia from early 70s and the first color tv sets going "SLOW MOTION" whenever a scoring opportunity was around..:huh:

Now, i don't want to sound like the grim reaper or anything but i can only say i'm mildly impressed with PES6(PS2).The gameplay at first looked like a step back but i've got used to it. I've been playing PES since ISS but i just can't stand some of the little things in it that are ignored. The commentary for one is shocking, he sounds like he's speaking underwater,i know its not his fault though.
Apart from gameplay almost eveything in the game is recycled from PES5 and the teams are only slightly updated. How can they ask their fans to pay for a game so similar to the last game. I don't like Fifa(hate it actualey) but they have great music and presentation. The music goes through my head, i don't know how i can stand another year of this music.
Just think about what they have changed and ask is it worth the money?

how come whenever i shoot they use the outside of their foot. its annoying cause when i wanna do a henry like finish, curl it round the keeper they use the outside of their foot, its so fake.

the team strategy where it has right side attack, and left sie attack and centre attack...when you select any of those, is it possible in pro 6 to view where the arrows takes your players???
cause i want to see for myself if the arrows have changed. and tbh i went ack to pro 3 and i'm not even sure how to view the arrows for those startegies anyway (i.e right sie attack or left side attack) if i ever did

but thats not the quick setting thing, thats strategy. i want to know how to put the lines on the players and stuff to tell them where to run. i can only do it individually which takes long. in pes5 you can set the whole team by doing the quick setting. how do you do that in the new one.

is the editing as bad as is it in the next gen (xbox 360) version? if not...i am seriously considering the current gen edition.

WE10 or PES6?
I've been a fan of the PES games ever since they arrived in the UK as ISS back on the PS1, they've really managed to change football gaming forever. But it seems these days each title that comes out has less and less upgrades, and in PES6's case, hardly any at all.
I always pre-order the Winning Eleven games to get a taste of whats to come in the next PES, and up until now have always been impressed with the updates made from the japanese to the european release. This year though, I have to say I think I prefer WE10. The gameplay seems to be at a better pace, and I've noticed in PES6 that if you try to play build up football, you end up with the opposition having 10 men behind the ball. Has anyone else noticed this?

goldman132 i am dissapointed. you say you have been playing since ISS,and yet you say there is no change in PES6 from PES5.
I think you need more time to play it. All the changes are minor, but here are a lot of them, you just have to keep your eyes open. You will start to notice infact that the game has improved a lot more then you think. And how can you compare 2 football games (fifa and pro evo) on the style of music they have in the menu's? that totally irrelevant. I think if everyone added the changes they have noticed, you will see that there are many of them.
They can be silly things, like the way they have taken down that little yellow sign when the referee plays on, they have now implemented it into the referees actions!
PES5 was great and didn't need changing that much, why fix when ain't broke? They have tightened the game up, left things how they were and added where necssesary. Which makes Pro Evo 6 the best football game ever to date, on the PS2, because the 360 version is pants apart from the obvious graphics.
I think the pitch being fuzzy is due to the fact that they needed to lessen the graphics when viewing replays because a lot of the time there are more players on screen, so they seem to have toned down the graphics of the pitch to eliminate slowdown whe watching replays, you seem to get this effect if you play pro evo on the PC and set the details to very low.

Well I have only played this game for about 2hours in total over the weekend, after suddenly realising I need to edit the whole of the premiership kits again, I did a couple - Chelsea & Liverpool and thought lets get down to actually playing a game. I put it on top player thinking I would simply know how to play this. I was England and played Scotland. The game finished 3-1 to Scotland and I played shite this game included a 20mins spell of Scotland passing it about and me not even getting close to the ball. Anyway I thought the passing was real good and I sparyed the ball around confidently when I eventually got it back. I always liked to control with R2 and Sprint passed defender for a shot with R1, but the Medium sprint button is no more and this can't be acheived every time. It's going to take some time to get used to but I will not say oh its shit and open up a thread I just need to practise a bit more!

I only have one complaint about PES 6. Those black balls are utterly rediculous. You can't see the ball at all when you use it!? And the dark blue one as well. Surely when they were making the game it is clear that nowhere uses black balls on the basis that you can't see them - maybe you'd use them for a kick about in the park... but not in a high profile match. They must have known that you can't see the ball clearly when you're playing it I just can't understand it.
Apart from that this is the best installment by a long LONG way. Oh... and Gerrards' nose is rather exagerated... He looks like pinnochio!
