and the Gabbi close up when he gets carded looks great, and to see Ronni's hair bobbing in the celebration looks pretty good too, last year it would of jus t been stiff and vanished into his neck as he ran

The Engine is the problem. People having been saying for years as long as the gameplay is good and that's what Seabass did, he Listened to the fan's.

I don't think the gameplay should be judged when two human players are playing. Even though the game might actually be slow, humans have tendencies to play faster and more direct when playing against other people. I don't remember where, but I did see a vid with the guy playing against the computer and the gameplay seemed similiar to PES 5 and 6 with a lot more build up than 08.

Game looks Fun to play -but- the Movements look extremely arcadey.
I think that's why Magazines are saying that FIFA09 is "the truer representation of Football" -because- the Animations and Movements look more Realistic in FIFA.
Maybe if PES09 had much better Player Movements we would be reading comments such as "PES09 is the best representation of Football hands down" -but- it seems the Current Engine isn't Capable of better Animations.
PES5 would also "look" more Arcadey -than- FIFA09.

I coulda sworn i read that you somewhere said that PES 2009 will be the first football game with graphics and gameplay? and now u r saying 2010?
**Those reviewers only play FIFA for so long until they rate it. FIFA 09 makes a good impression for casual gamers. But it wont last. They will get bored of it and thats it. PES 2009 will last a whole year....and if the new engine in 2010 fails.....then ill have to stick with PES 2009 for two years. NP as the gameplay looks to be back on track.**

Notice any Difference?? Graphics and Gameplay.. That's PES09 I think, the 1st Football Sim to offer good Gameplay coupled with good Graphics.
However, PES 2010 could be the game to finally offer; Graphics, Gameplay + Player Movements.
Anyways, I agree; FIFA gets boring very quickly -whereas- PES keeps growing on you.
By the way, How are you so Confident about PES 2010 having a New Engine??

I don't really fall for fake promises if you ask me...This is not to insult you Proevofan, but how many times does KONAMI has to lie to us before telling us the truth? If there is a new engine and we are gong to see it next year, then i would be really happy. But for now i don't believe anything.

Remember FIFA's new engine in 07? it sucked!.....and I think konamis first effort will be bad too tbh that is why i am hoping that PES 2009 has great gameplay to last me a long time.
