[Q?] Different question about Dido Smoke patch gold for pes 2012 PC

Posted this here as I got no answers at all in the editing thread..even though I did ask if it was in the wrong section )


Hi

I want to ask does anybody know where to put an adx (sound chants) file. The patch is great especially for me as I have promised myself to not play online (as lag just frustrates me) But the chants are not great so I have dl some which were meant for the ps3

I have converted the mp3,s to adx file using the pes sound converter
Problem is that im not sure exactley where to put these files as nothing happend after I put them inside the smoke 4.5 folder

can anybody help me the format i used was xxxxx_id no.adx eg
phat chants for pool_532.adx (number reffering to the mappings shown in the pes editor )

thx sabatasso though im not sure this helps basically I cant find where to put the .adx files ..I had already re named them (changed id number) and assigned the correct team according to pes editor (editor.exe fifacz.com) but Im not sure ive put them in the correct folder because they wont work...also the game never warned me of overwriting old files.....?

You need first DkZ Studio for import music to PES 2012.

We need Main Menu Songs Map for import.
Here is the slots that can be used to insert music:

Just copy the text in a notepad and name it songs.txt and place it in kitserver\pesedit .
The songs must be converted from MP3 to Wave and then from Wave to ADX.
And every song must be named ‘music_**’ and placed in dt02.img

FOR EXAMPLE: If you want to add "One" by Metallica,convert it into WAV and then to ADX and rename it as music_23 and place it into dt02.img inside img folder of your kitserver.
Now go to notepad and type 23, "One", "Metallica"and save it as songs.txt and place it in kitserver/pesedit..That's it.If you face any problem,leave a comment.

The last 9 songs (music_64 until music_72) are the unlockable songs (Konami Retro Sounds) from the Extra Content.
Unlock them first and then you will be able to choose them in playlist.
* Note: Konami this year messed up the row in the list in the game’s playlist so for example song 23 is higher than song 15.
It is recommended the list to be copied exactly as it appears above.

My bad, chants are in dt01 though. yeah I know but I cant seem to find that folder ...only the 1 inside the kitserver folder ...and that only had a few .adx chant files presumably ones which had been already modified by the patch..??

Such a shame I cant get these in I have ALL the epl teams chants and it would add more atmo to the matches they are much better than the (default generic chants)

gotta find me a way....

Re-link chants with the editor (red oval circle on screenie), just find yourself a vacant slot, and rename your files accordingly before you put them into dt01 in the kitserver.


EDIT: Seems wild@'s editor is hard to find at the moment. Several web pages are offline and stuff. I've uploaded one here, but I'll remove it once the official links work again.

yeah thats the editor i use 1.8 version I think..... I relinked the team chants to the numbers I allocated but nothing....

I think it's because I have not placed them in the right folder but what is the right folder? either that or my labels are incorrect format or something

I did this name_number.adx

eg soundsaloud_344.adx Is it ok to have spaces in the name before the underscore??

I thought it was "unnamed_286" for example. I think you'd need a "sound server" (does not exist afaik) if you want to use completely renamed files. At least that's what I've learned from experience in earlier versions. I haven't fooled around in PES12 much, though.

tried renaming one of them as unnamed_271.adx and mapping it to appropriate team in the w!ld editor but nothing happend

thing is the only dt01 folder is inside the kitserver folder now and then inside the smoke 4.5 folder as well ..thats where I put the converted file but nothing happend :-(

the only other dt01 I can see inside the pes 2012 folder (where the game .exe is) is NOT a folder its and .img file (image) and ive tried to open this so as to edit the .adx files which must be inside it but I could NOT get it open

original dt01 is: F:\program files\PES 2012\img \(this is a .img file)

and edited patch: F:\program files\PES 2012\kitserver\SMoKE_GOLD\img\dt01.img (this is a folder)

tried opening the .img file with magicISO but it wont open :-(

You're supposed to use the dt01 directory in the kitserver folder. Your config.txt file points the game to the files, so it does not really matter where that folder is located.

But if it isn't working, I can't really come up with any more ideas.

Ok thx man FYI It didn't work anyway...im kinda suprised nobody is at all interested though... As these chants give a great atmosphere to the matches


at the moment I can only think of 1 other course of action and that is to totally uninstall the game ..re-install the game inc konami patch to 1.2

THEN
Edit the dt01 folder (in the main directory) with the edited chant files (.adx) and then finally re-install the smoke patch....

IF anybody wants to know the outcome gimme a shout on here and ill respond after its done . )
