Was the first Rainbow Six:Vegas any good and will this 2nd game be better?

I am talking about the Ps3 version.

I'd rent/borrow the first one. It's quite a hardcore game online and isn't one for "n00bs."

I had it for the 360 and I was pretty average and I was given plenty of abuse. :/ It's one of those games where if you get into it, you'll never be off it. I was the opposite and quickly sold it.

I'd love to get into it though, I just don't have the patience for it.

This was me exactly. To me it seemed like a game that was hinged on teamwork yet whenever i played online everyone just seemed to run around and do their own thing.

I personally loved the first one and got to the rank of Major which isn't that far off Elite. To be honest looking at them trailers it's nothing different to the first.

Online is great for the 1st Vegas ,but the career/season mode sucked pink socks. Hopefully the 2nd is better. Besides that its a good game.

My brother bought the game for the 360, I played it a few times because it looked good at the Story Mode seemed quality. I played it online a total of 5 times and dropped the notion of getting good at it, so stoped playing.

Last night I plkayed it again because a mate recently got a 360 with Live! so I gave it a go. I might get into again on the chance that Call of Duty 4 goes queer again.

first rainbow was a really good game and even better in multi player had some top games on xbox live the second seems to be shaping up well. from what i have read there will be 11 new weapons new features ripped off cod4 like sprinting something which i think rb6 really needed and bullet penetration no more hiding in the cover positions for to long now, better graphics as well but that's to be expected for a sequel.

Damn the first game was a real good game but I just couldnt get into it. There was just too much precsion and skill for my liking. I like more casual gaming like Halo 3 or something like that but RSV was just a bit too hardcore for me.
Dont get me wrong I thought it was a good game but takes a bit of work to get good at it and if you are inexperienced online you will get slaughtered. I went online the first game the other day and there are still plenty of people on the game.

Im a big fan of the series and i think this version looks bigger and better than the last one. good to see they added the ability to sprint aswell.

I used to be in a Rainbow Six Clan, many years ago. I was quite good. :smug:

I wish i could have played Vegas, but it was far too heavy for my PC to handle. :no:

Got it last week, pre-owned & played for the first time last night.

Got it for offline co-op (a sad omission on COD4). Easy to die though. Not sure i'm any where near good enough for on-line as i'm more of a run & gun kinda guy. Good game though & will certainly be interested in number 2...
