No Ant, so many bugs that were found in manager mode, it kills the fun. :(

I used Man City, 6 points clear at top of the table at mid season(Legendary), reached semifinal in cup competition, but got sacked after losing the match!? played several times, same thing happen, fed up with it! :/

Tell you what guys, Play Fifa 10 and give it a few months, or a year. You wont notice any of the things that are broken then. ;)

however after a month you'll be extremely bored though from the sounds of things on the fifa forum!lol.

only messin about. Some of the reviews, especially the CVG one, it appears that it is more realistic, not as easy as before, and will take time to master (longeivity as always with Pes!!) It also seems (with thru ball for example) its about judging the timing of the pass combined with other factors which you need to take into account. Brilliant, it requires thought etc! still, wait to judge on 23rd

the cvg review actually listed the points above as reasons why they don't like the game that much, kinda.

yea but all this 'thinking' gets undone when a keeper cant make a basic save, or players act in a retarded fashion on or off the ball.

playing we10 demo, im always left thinking, back in the day my player woudl ALWAYS have made that pass - instead of 'dwelling on the ball' Football manager style and losing the ball due to inactivity.

Regarding the AI which many of you seem to dislike in pes. Players never make funny things in fifa? This surely was the reason to why i gave up playing it back in 99.

whos comparing to fifa, i am comparing to real life...

stop the fifa mudslinging, just think about PES and compare it to your ideal football game, otherwise you are comparing something to something else which isnt really too relevant...

for me its not a choice of FIFA or PES...

its PES or nothing...but does PES stack up to be good enough in its own right to be worth a purchase?

Manager mode is broken yes and i feel for you seeing as i dont play that mode so it doesnt affect me at all. however see what the patch does first.

Shaun dont insult my intelligence. Theres a whacking great distance between mastering the old pes games with the core sound gameplay intact and unworrying, and having to master this game because its deeply flawed in places and creaking.

They arnt the same thing.

As ive said if you like it buy it and enjoy it. If your happy fine, but im not happy with it and i want a next gen version thats worthy. thats the bottom line from myself.

I am sorry, but I still say you are COMPLETLY WRONG and you're also being a complete idiot.
I know this game has bugs but guess what? SO DID PES 5, 4 3 AND 6. They all had glitches that by time you get used to them.
This is no different.
And deeply flawed?:no::laugh:
There isn't half the glitches there were in pes 09 even in the we demo.
You are surly being a complete pes hater right now.
I can accept the fact that you don't like it, but don't slate it everytime because it gets seriously annoying and soon you'll be labled a FIFA FANBOY.

but at the same time Shaun7 you are not exactly giving it a realistic appraisal are you?

it started with you commenting that the final build would be 100% better. reviews so far dont seem to corroberate that the final build is the next incarnation of PES6 - or even close.

you underplay the main flaws, i.e its clunky, feels dates, bad goalkeeprs, cheeseplay goals, players stopping when passing, passing to the wrong player. (note none of these are comparisons with fifa, instead they are things that i would like to see addressed in PES rgardless of what fifa does)...

and have been overplaying .. err... the faces. which i already said make them look like they just starred int he film Zombie nazis or something - so pale is the pigment in their tone.

almost like a PES fanboy who can see no wrong, and is constantly optomistic despite being faced by evidence that contradicts this position.

its unfortunate that PES10 has turned out 'bad' but even you must be willing to admit that the final appearance of this game has not set the footballing world alight and has failed to deliver what PES

If i'm a Pes hater then so be it. Thats the title i must carry in the pursuit of a better Pes in the future. :)

WHAT THE...?
First of all.

you are not exactly giving it a realistic appraisal are you?
I always said this. I'll wait till the end and then judge myself because reviews are all opinions. I always get both games and last year I said all out that fifa 09 was the better game.

it started with you commenting that the final build would be 100% better. reviews so far dont seem to corroberate that the final build is the next incarnation of PES6 - or even close.
Don't make my posts seems bigger than they are.
I said that EVERYONE who played the review code (90% build) said that it's even better than the we demo. I never said 100% difference and it's not needed either because even the we demo is good. Oh and when I said about the pes demo being an old build I was right because the we demo did solve some problems that the pes demo had. Now I didn;t know anything, I just wait and be fair.

you underplay the main flaws, i.e its clunky, feels dates, bad goalkeeprs, cheeseplay goals, players stopping when passing, passing to the wrong player. (note none of these are comparisons with fifa, instead they are things that i would like to see addressed in PES rgardless of what fifa does)...
I never said they weren't issues. But not as bad as you're saying for sure. But no game is without issues.

Pes faces are like that? I cannot agree.
I am not optimistic, I am just being fair unlike some other members.
AND WHAT EVIDENCE IS THERE TO CONTRADICT THIS? none.
The reviews are opinions and also, there are more good reviews than bad so what's the contradiction?

ts unfortunate that PES10 has turned out 'bad' but even you must be willing to admit that the final appearance of this game has not set the footballing world alight and has failed to deliver what PES
Without even playing the game how can I say that?;)
But I BELIEVE you are wrong on this because I liked the we demo. I know it has it's bad side, but every game has it. But the good things overweigh the bad ones. Oh and those who are still playing the final code, they are saying that it's good aswell. Reviewers usually play a few matches unlike the testers who are still playing it. That's the thing. EVERY PES NEEDED TIME TO GET USED TO.

As I aid before and I'll say again, I'll wait till I have both games and then judge.

Shaun7, i do apologise i mistook you for mr Darkstar, who did comment that the final game was going to be (no less than) '100 times' better than the demo, i dont think this matches reality.

but what you said:

"The way the keeper rushes and tries to get long balls is the only major things about keepers in pes 2010 so far. I hope this got better in the full game. "

hmm... hmmm this is not the only major thing with goalkeepers. i posted one video i took from my demo of him doing the 'sidesteparoo' this is quite major that he cannot make a save vs a ball travelling 1mph.

shaun7
What does it have better actually?
Players responding for the ball for example.
Look at the difference it made to the gameplay and it was a small touch.

okay so when i pass the ball - why does my player stand still for 2 secs afterwards like he is contemplating that terrible throughball he just made? do players run onto the ball if it breaks in front of them? no.

Pes faces are like that? I cannot agree.

you dont look at their faces and think.. hmm you need to get a tan mate? its like they are super grey/white... its this rawness that kinda makes them look good, but it is an absence of detail that has this effect..

Shaun, me too enjoy the WE demo, but not fifa10 lol, guess it's not my cup of tea, let us enjoy the game we like and let them enjoy theirs. :)

just to corroborate my statements, from the very front page of this website:

So in danger of receiveing a huge amount of abuse, now for the record: I’d like to say that Pes 2010 just doesn’t feel like a next-generation game… still. I thought Pes 2009 did not live up to the standard we should have been able to expect, and Pes 2010 does just feel like Pes 2009 with 360 movement

so like i said, its not what we were all expecting...

According to marcgiu I'm "gutted" at the response to this thread lol hardly while the content being discussed now is fine the initial post is convoluted garbage

While your initially post is nonsense other members have raised some valid points which is why I'll comment on this thread. I'll say it again your on a PES forum and you see a problem that people are looking forward to the 2010 release? Please no more PM's I don't want to read them

I know, but still I think we should wait for the final release. GK's are always a problem no matter how you look at it. :)

I never it it improved that much but in the we demo it's better than pes one for sure. Oh and that 2 sec delay doesn't happen all the time. But yes, it is an issue, but nothing major. If response are a bit better than the we demo I'll be happy with it. Because in the we demo some players like messi respond much quicker than others. That, I liked.

you dont look at their faces and think.. hmm you need to get a tan mate? its like they are super grey/white... its this rawness that kinda makes them look good, but it is an absence of detail that has this effect..
I dunno, but on my TV they look great. Even in the videos posted on the net today showing the faces. They look really good in terms of facial detail. The skin is too white at times, but it's because of shots from the stadium with lighting I think because when viewed on edit mode, the skin colour is much better.

So you're quoting all the reviews that are saying that pes 10 is not good enough?
Good for you.
There are others that contradict this.
Oh and I can clearly define between the we demo and pes 2009. They are really different.
For once, no more bad defence and the tackles are much better and so is the shooting. and ai positioning. That alone says that it's not pes 09 with 360 movement.

I don't really want to send you them either but your arrogant post at the start of this thread was uncalled for pal. Particulary as this thread has prompted some healthy debate about PES and the future of PES.

I only take issue with blind loyalty - nothing else.

Shaun... I don't see how Pes 3,4 and 5 were full of bugs.. I play them often, and compared with 09... and the reviews we have of 10... there is simply no comparison... just my opinion
