Ref's whistle to early?!

don't know if this has been mentioned before, havent been on this forum for awhile, but what is with how reidiculously early the ref's start blowing their whistle?! before the ball even hits the back of the net he starts going crazy with the thing! it's doing my head in, feel like shoving his virtual whistle up his pixelated arse!

please tell me i'm not the only one who's bothered by this?

Once again, someone makes a perfectly valid point yet get this kind of immature response back.

Yes, I noted how early the referee blew the whistle both in the videos released by PCAction and from my own experience with the PC demo.

I've gotta say when I played the demo (360) I didn't notice it at all, but having seen the Newcastle v Milan video, I did notice the ref blew alarmingly early. And thats something that would annoy me in the full game.

in the 360 demo when blowing to take a free kick he took too long,and in the vids over at pcaction its before the ball even crosses the line,these leads me to strobgly believe that there audio and video are definently out of sync

They definitely blow too early in the 360 demo, it's so noticeable, and so fucking annoying. I noticed it right away, first goal I score. Actually, I didn't even think the goal had counted, I thought the whistle had gone for an offside decision or something. I really hope they fix it. :/

well..whistles dont blow early for me on the pc demo..

and if u checked out the vid of the game in action and u notice the whistle annoyingly blowing early, thats not the games fault...the audio just isnt synced up with the vid on the recording...

other than that? idk

I noticed this on the videos, but I just thought it was a problem with the audio/video syncronisation as you get that with streamed vides sometimes!

But now someone mentions that its in the demo, it bothers me. Perhaps it's a bug.

I'll be honest, I've played the 360 demo a lot, and i genuinely HAVEN'T noticed at all, and after playing it a lot, I watched the video and noticed STRAIGHT AWAY the whistle being blown early, I dont think it'll be an issue in the final game at all....fingers crossed

Really bugs me too, I hope they fix it. The whistle sounds strange in the first place like its being raped, its like a cheap whistle. They could have at least used PES6's, why change?

Now this I HAVE noticed. Really awful sound. I have a ref's whistle and the sound is completely different. In the game it has an unnerving MIDI quality.

In the PC demo the whistle doesn't seem to be blown early. And I have only watched 3 PC Action videos, but in all of them the audio was out of synch with the video. If you listen carefully, you'll notice that it's not only the whistle, but also the sound of the players hitting the ball. It's specially noticeable after the first half of the videos, since the synchronization problem gets worse as the vid progresses.

Plus you cant expect everything to be fantastic considering you downloaded a demo game in this new world of online demo downloads...

I guarantee it will be sorted when you get the actual disk. The disk will be 10x more acurate than a download.

Are you saying that in the demo the whistle goes early because they downloaded it, and somehow it's out of synch because of compression? That's impossible. The advantage of digital files is precisely that each copy is exactly the same as the original. If one bit is different, the CRC doesn't match and the file is useless (hence, you get a corrupt file).

If you're talking about the video, yes, you're right, compression does that when done improperly. But then I don't understand the part about getting it on disk.

he seems to think that because the demo was a download, the files are messed up. Which makes no sense at all, if a file is compressed using WinRar as in this case, when you unrar it, it reverts to it's original state before compression.

I have also noticed the new whistle sound. It's very "sunday league/PE lessons" ish - maybe even the whistle sound has to be licenced and they went for a cheaper one? It's like the one that was on most of the FIFA games, when it seemed that PES used the proper football whistle sound.

Very strange.

I've played the demo again tonight, trying to notice the early whistle but thankfully its not there.

Like is the general feeling I reckon, it was the bad sync of the video.
