Does any of the older members remember a series of games called "Manchester United in Europe" and "John Barnes Soccer"?

They were made by the same company and they were shite! At school we had Acorn Archamides computers (Fuck knows why) and every bloke had bootleg copies of these games, best thing about a two player match was you shared a keyboard and could poke your rival in the eye at a critical moment. I remember having them on the Amiga as well.

I would love to know what they were properly called, if anyone remembers.

When I was about 7 we had a very old computer in the corner of our classroom and evey breaktime we all used to try and play this football game on it where you could only play as Man Utd - after about 2 months I was the first to ever score :)

There are quit some of the OLD GUARD than here hehe, I was one of those who played Sensible World Of Soccer and my ultimate dream is to see te match engine of PES with the career mode of SWOS.

Haha! keep dreaming of that. I don't understand what is so hard about having SWOS kind of career mode. That is the best career mode that's ever been and it's not like scifi technology, pretty simple to what's being done today. SWOS career mode has the best features, and with today's technology, it could even be boosted to upper levels.

And for those, SWOS is no poor, it still has better gameplay than FIFA 2005 and earlier. sad.

that damn game made manchester united my secondary team to support. I knew so much about them and playin them all the time, dammit that built symphaty on the reds. evil marketing tricks by the devils. that was the first soccer game i played on a pc. i think it was a 286, hehe. just thinking about it is funny. it was my first year of college and we had a computer class, i had to get involved with the PC world. and ofcourse first thing you look for is a soccer game.

Thats right, it was hard as f$%k to play! I am glad someone else remembers it. I hated that game but still used to try and play it.

I do remember the graphics at the time being the best bit about it, the pitches were also very nice.

NO WAY!!! Check this out CLICK

I'm 14 & I've been playing Pro Evo ever since the PS2 came out & I played ISS International Soccer on the PS1, even though I was shite at it.....seeing as I was 6 or 7.
I all the Pro Evo's on PS2 & I'ver improved since all of them.......the games are the best.

The first footy game I played was either Kick Off 3, Fifa 95 or Sensible Soccer.
My fave footy game before the PS1 was Striker on the SNES.....Me & my cuzin used to play that all the time, while his brother used to smash it on Kick Off 3 & Fifa 95......he's the best on Pro Evo out of me, my bro, his bro & him....when he's on form he's wicked.
