Hi all,
I asked this question on another forum but there's been no replies yet, so thought I should ask here: used to be an active member of the PES community a few years ago with option files and what not, and often used this forum, but my interest waned with the decline of the PES games; I had PES 2008, tried 2009 and since then I haven't touched the games with a barge pole, save for the odd quick game here and there round mates houses.
I played FIFA 10 and 11 and found them to be very boring games; FIFA seems to be winning people over on marketing, hype and the simple fact that in recent years it has been better than PES (which isn't really saying much).
However, the other night I had a go on PES 2012 and really enjoyed it, but because I played it with four other mates I felt that I needed to experience it single-player to get a better feel. I downloaded the demo (second version, I believe) and with a couple of tweaks (game speed to +1, controls reduced semi-auto options) I thought it was excellent. The passing is so much better than in the FIFA demo, and the game seems to have struck a blend between realism and fun that made the PS2 PES games so good.
So, before I take the plunge, I wanted to ask: is the full version of the game the same as the demo (gameplay-wise)?
Also, I hear there's been a patch recently - what has this amended/changed about the game?
