Slide tackle is a joke.

It seems to me that this year they haven't really tested the game anywhere near to the standards expected. The reason for me saying this is because of the amount of tiny bugs and glitches that can make or break a game for me.

Is it just me, or is anyone else experiencing fouls being given for perfectly good slide tackles? It seems to be more when I come across a player, slide a boot into the ball, and then the defender clatters into my sliding man.

It's always those perfect tackles where you get all of the ball, but at the same time get satisfaction from putting the attacker on his arse. I can understand if you get the man first, but I don't... yet every time the ref blows his whistle...

Yellow card.

I think normal tackling is fine. You just have to not run straight in with your man holding down the button. If you stay back, cover the places he could pass, and go in without running, it's good.

P.S I love this PES, infact it's my favourite.

I've suffered two red cards on PES so far, out of a lot of games, one was Ivarov running out of goal and tripped the striker, the other was a Jaric tackle, which did get the player, but it was in the middle of the pitch and it was from head-on, which was disappointing.

However, other than that, I've really enjoyed slide tackling on this game - made some spectacular tackles.

Not enjoying standing tackles though. FIFA does that much better.

they still havent got the collison detection correct on the slid tackles, too often you get carded for a perfect last ditch challange
as for the conservative ''x'' tackle, thats worse than the generic shooting!!

That's what I' saying. I have looked at the replay of the tackles, and they are perfect. I hit the ball 100%, then through the ball, into the man, the man goes flying. Then I'm booked.

It had recognised it before but noticed it the most in one master league game where I did about 3 good slide tackles in a row which were all booked.

I maybe haven't played enough matches on this new PES, but I think the tackling is relatively alright. I've seen some bad decisions, even red cards for tough but fair tackles, but this happens a hell of a lot in real life too. My last match was Nigeria vs. Cameroon and I was lunging in everywhere as I was frustrated, my tackles were fair but very hard, and I wasn't really pulled up by the referee so I can't complain.

The only good thing about takiling is that its Unfair for both teams playing, by this i mean at leat the A.I will get red carded or Friend for doing the same challenge. It kinda levels up the playing field if u knw what i mean.

I can't see what you guys are complaining about. The only time I get a yellow for sliding tackles (I've never had a straight red card yet and got the game two days early - thanks Shopto.net) is when I'm late or am tackling from behind. Also, remember that the game takes into account the defending skill of the player doing the tackling. Just practice more.

Not a big fan of the tackling, no - but I discovered that slide-tackling players who don't have the ball doesn't usually draw the foul. So while it contributes nothing to my team's success, I still have the satisfaction of knocking a player on his arse.

i agree, we have to be realistic tho, yes the tackling is a bit hit and miss but at the end of the day its a game, yes its a next gen game, stuff like collision detection flaws are still ther
i play fifa too and the tacklings hit and miss in that so its not just pes
