Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 [PS2/360]

Cyber Sunday tonight, Raw tomorrow, nothing on Tuesday, download ECW on Wednesday and then, on Thursday The Game!

It's just stupid to have 4 Foley's in the game, the same happened last year's game with Hogan. I'd rather have 2 more legends or current wrestlers than Dude Love and Cactus Jack or even Mick Foley. They could add Jeff to the game and London and Kendrick aswell.

Does anyone have a confirmed roster list?

I'd like to see it, before I make a final decision on whether to buy it. At the moment, i'm thinking I won't, as it looks like just another upgrade, and nothing more than that.

Rick Rude, Rick Martell, Sgt. Slaughter, Big Bossman, Ted DiBiase, Ultimate Warrior, Owen Hart, Jake The Snake Roberts, Randy Savage, Marty Janetti, Dynamite Kid & British Bulldog in there too would be great but that's probably asking too much.

Also a few managers like Heenan, Hart, Fuji etc... even if it's just the abilty to hire then in a career/season mode would be a nice addition.

Yeah, that's the only thing which is making me consider buying this game. I'm glad Mr Perfect has finally been made a Legend. Wasn't Jimmy Snuka included in the last one? They should have included him, and also Rick Rude should be in the next game.

Im really pleased with the outcome for the PS2. The new control system works really really well, if that' s the way the game is heading in the future then im happy. The graphics haven' t really improved since last year. The nWo trio entrance and belt is in, which both look really good. Smoking skull title is also in. I have completed season, with none-other then RVD, so im going to spill a few beans for those who wanna know. Those who don' t, I suggest you look away.

SEASON SPOILER:
Season mode is pretty much unrealistic. You get Trish Stratus becoming the WWE champion, you get traded to RAW basically, when you just get your hands on the WHC *Same with the WWE title*. But the good thing is, that it' s a game. It' s *Season Mode* isn' t supposed to be 100% realistic.

Right, it is now safe for you people who didn' t want to know about season to turn your heads this way. Gm mode has improved, it is really good. You can change a Superstar from Face to Heel, or Heel to Face, which is a great and handy addition.

Overall Im enjoying the game, it is really good in my opinion. Has the potential to become the best WWE game, just surpressing HCTP.

The buttons have changed, for much more flowing game wrestling. Here' s the controls, heh, and dont be fooled, they really do work.

Control superstar - Left Analog Stick
Strike Attack - Square
Quick Grapple - Right analog stick ( Up, down, left, right )
Perform Pin ( Opponent on mat ) - Right analog stick ( down )
Recover Stamina Manually - O button
Perform Taunt - Directional buttons ( Up, down, left, right )
Run - Triangle
Enter/Exit Ring ( Action Button ) - X

I just typed all of that out and realised you could be getting the 360 version, haha. Oh well. Gave me something to do anyways :tongue:.

My brother bought the game, Ive played it once and Its not too bad, couldve been worse. Better than the last one.

I chose Benoit and chose to fight Nitro for the IC belt in a Submissions match... If I had of knew that Melinda wouldnt have been there then I would have kicked someone elses ass.

James, I heard of the 'legends' roster and It sounded great, but I wanted some more real classics in there. For instance, drop Eddie and get in Brutus, Rude, The Warrior, IRS, Tatanka, Brooklyn Brawler (haha) and such.

EDIT: I dont know if Nitro's girl is called Melinda or not...

That's what I was concerned about. I think i'll give it a miss, and buy CoD3 and Gears Of War instead. It seems too much to ask for THQ to have the roster up to date.

Not having Spirit Squad (RAW's tag champs for most of the year and main eventers) and London & Kendrick (tag champs on Smackdown for several months now) on the roster is pathetic.

Also, why do they have MNM as a stable? Didn't they break up long before DX (who are included as a stable) reformed? Having things all out of date makes the story mode uninteresting a lot of the time.

They seem more interested in making sweat drip down the abdomen in more realistic ways, than having the game properly updated, and including more wrestlers. We don't care about realistic sweat, for christ sake. Having an updated roster is of the most importance. I can understand recent newcomers, like M.V.P, not being included, but Spirit Squad and London & Kendrick? That's unacceptable.

oh ok, 1 is good thanks, but 2 i'm still confused with. i know you can buy legends like in the old one, but i heard someone talk about cm punk and jeff hardy as unlockables in season. and when i checked the trophy and rewards thing a few pages back it said "plus 6 unknown rewards". maybe it could be hooligans/SS?

@mo = i'd say angle, as he has a pin finisher and a submission finisher. plus he has the games highest attributes.
