Speedy Players

Is there any reason why those players who are known to be very speedy cannot seem to get past the slowest player on the opposing side?

That's very disappointing, especially for a game that's been around for so long.

Yeah, Konami have this opinion where they think outpacing is not realistic so they tried to kill it. What seems Ironic to me, however is how they think getting across the pitch in 3 seconds with a through ball is realistic.

i play become a legend with two characters the first player speed 99 responsiveness 99 top speed 99 dribble speed 99 body balance 99 .
believe me this stat are a joke in a pitch
the second player his overall around 80s and he run better then the first one

Yes, I'm afraid this game is ruined because of the lack of being able to outpace someone who is much slower than your fast winger.

Why is speed an issue? When I play I really get more satisfaction if I intercept a ball which was directed to Bale of C Ronaldo for instance. Strategy is a far more important factor in the last PES editions. And I don't play with different strategies per game, just one formation and my standard strategy. It's all about placing your player and timing

It's strange, because however much I read about speed not being a factor, I'm still able to sprint away from defenders to the point where they can't catch me with players like Moura, Nani etc. Speed burst is your friend.

I do agree that at times (when players are tightly marking your speed demons), you should be able to get away from them quicker, instead of being 'stuck' to their animation and sometimes even tripping over.

They need to change this for PES 14 and other future versions. Nothing more frustrating when I have the ball with Ronaldo and I have to turn back or force pass because I am getting caught up by Pique.
