Its ok - I can totally kill all spyware on my computer (using Spybot + adaware ) then log into this site and this site only, then run spyware again and hey presto tracking objects !

And why does play.com's page keep popping up ? when I am here too.

We do not have Spyware. I really can't say it any clearer. Nor will we ever have spyware. Why would we want too?

Of course, with this being a forum, it will have 'tracking' object in the form of a cookie which just ensures you are always logged in.

I had something like that. Its a programme that searches the page that your on, picks a term, searches through its liabry to see if it has that term (in this case, play.com), then will start a new window with the site. I think its called personal shopper or something like that? Do you have Kazaa or Bearshare on your pc?

Hitmanuk2k I dont want to argue with you over this as firstly I think you run a pretty damn good site, and secondly you undoubtedly know more about these things than I do. I accept your point about tracking cookies but whats with the "play.com" pop ups I am getting (I never visit that site) and doubletrader ?

No i dont have anything like kazaar on my pc

Yes, and this is going to make seem stupid... but I get the Play.com pop up... and I have no idea why. I have trawled through every file I've uploaded recently (it must of happened when I reverted some templates back to old ones [we used to have the Play.com pop up when PES5 came out]) but I can't find where it is!

Just use Firefox or another decent browser which has Popup filters till I find the problem file.

I used to only use the AOL browser, because it used to block all po-ups. Then a few months ago, I kept getting pop-ups on Pesinsight EVERY time I refreshed or opened a new page. Pesinsight was the only page it happened on. It was always by the same ad-company - advertising.com, or something like that. So later, I took Sweey's advice and dowloaded Firefox, and now it's all good - no pop-ups (apart from the in-site pop-ups).

Everytime I scan for viruses, I still get the same ones everytime - advertising.com, mediafast and 2 others - just from using Pesinsight. They're all advertising ad/spyware, but according to Spybot, they don't track or use personal information.

I forgot what point I wanted to make, but it's in there somewhere. :D
