Definitely up for some Clubs this weekend, long time since I/we last played a proper session.

I hope, if there is a good turnout, we don't get put against faggots with the gay custom formations though. It's so pathetic!

Well to be honest, there's very few now that don't do that shit. It's extremely difficult not to get hammered when there is only a few on and playing against them. I think if we can get at least 7 people, maybe 8, that cancels out there formation as we can just adapt to it individually, and play out of position as such.

I will be on tonight if anyone is, went on last night for a bit but was too late it seems.

Of course not. If you have a player, and have built him up a bit (You'll need to do this first most likely) then can play. You'll have to get one of the others to accept you, not too sure who can do it.

I haven't tried to fix my PS3 connection yet, but shall hopefully do it this weekend and get back on this!

I don't have a problem with the custom formations, to be honest - I assume it's about playing the defence as deep as possible. We should still be able to break them down and score goals. If they play deep, cut it back and score first time shots from the edge of the box. When I play CM, I'm usually waiting around the position, but am rarely found. Fair enough, since I don't have a great scoring record, but perhaps someone else can try positioning themselves there.

They also tend to have their midfield lined up perfectly for stopping exactly that Dragonfly. And they have attackers always in the perfect position to do that to us at the other end. It just makes it a lot harder to play and win against them, basically they don't need to be any where near as good as us playing the game and can still win. And when they are good as well as the formation? Well we just get hammered.

Ah right man, hope you can get it sorted with not much trouble :thumbsup: I remember having some trouble with Clubs last time I played, got disconnected mid-way through games and such, I just hope this doesn't happen this weekend, as I'm quite in the mood for it.

Yeah, well I'm cool with playing Any if no-one else wants to, I'm not gonna be Any all night though.

I'll play anywhere, may give a CB a go again. Not a bad idea if we come up against a team playing with a custom formation ;)

Dragonfly, if I remember rightly the formations generally consist of a back four as deep as the goalkeeper with a bank of three defensive midfielders playing on the edge of their area a massive gap then two wingers and a striker. The formation would never work in real life and simply exploits the poor positioning of the AI to get in behind the defence. It's simply exploiting the shortcomings of the AI, this is why it is annoying and tantamount to cheating.

This. I was trying to pretty much say this, just not great at executing what I mean at times. ;)

Anyway, I don't mind it sometimes when I can just laugh at it, but sometimes it is throw the controller at the wall frustrating.
