The full 20 are the 18 teams/nations I have uploaded Faces Preview videos of... plus Yugoslavia and Uruguay

The file is 100% compatible with the classic club file, but ALL the players in my file are made from scratch, faces and stats etc. So there will be duplicates.

The next 22 Nations I will create will go into the 'Other Latin American Teams' I have done this to continue to make it compatible with the classic club file.

Do you have a link to classic club download?

Great to get both in place

Thanks

So excited

Wonderful write up pal, sounds like we are a similar age and of similar thinking.1990 WC was also my first major football tournament i can recall getting into, great memories. True what you have said about this game too, the classic retro feel is all i play it for.sounds like ratmundo has really nailed it here, looking forward to getting an international tournament going with these teams

Thanks mate, Rat really has put in some serious hours editing the file on his own. He deserves all our support. Once the file is out it will be great to share our experiences, I mostly have been playing with Mexico,Austria, Peru, Ussr. They may not sound as exciting as the Brazil,Argentina,Germanys etc but they are so enjoyable to play with. You'll see what I mean in a few days. Not long now......

I would love to include Morocco but unfortunately there isn't enough classic player stats out there... perhaps I can create more teams in the future ;)

I second your comments about Donatoson's write up... and I hope all you guys enjoy the file just as much :)

This is exactly what I hoped for, people playing with the 'lesser' nations and having just as much fun - you have been an inspiration to me creating this file matey... your enthusiasm for the 'older' classic players has kept me going

Soooo excited for this

Not too long to wait now buddy ;)

Greetings PESheads

For the last 2 weeks I've had the great fortune of being able to test play Rats Classic National teams option file and I've got to say you guys are in for a treat.

First of all I'm a nostalgic person, I like modern day football up to apoint but absolutely love looking back at times gone by. As a kid the 1st world cup I remember was Italia 90 , I collected the sticker books, played with the mini coca cola football's and basically bought anything which had the mascot "Ciao" on it. The quality of football may not have been the greatest but there were certain moments that have stayed with me all my life, from Roger Millas goal celebration, David Platt scoring a stunner against the Belgians, Rene Higuita trying his luck dribbling out of goal which in the end did have its consequences and of course Gazza crying just to name a few.

I've been a massive PEShead for years now and always wished to recreate them moments ingame obviously not the Gazza crying one, but I've never had the patience or skill to edit teams and during the ps3 years I sort of fell out of love with the game, I played them but I wasn't (as one of my fellow PESheads commented "balls deep") into them like this year.

Why then am I "balls deep" this year?

1 Konami have done an excellent job with the game making it one of the greatest ever released.
2. THE LEGENDS/CLASSICS option files created by the community. Clubs and National teams, The posibilities are endless. LOVE IT!!!!

So when Rat asked me to try out a few of his national teams he was working on I was "Over the moon" plus it give me a break from editing.

Player builds= As most of you will already know Rat is one one of the most known and respected editors in the community, his face builds are second to none and here he doesn't dissapoint. 20 national teams each with 23 players all edited to perfection, now anyone who has tried doing builds know how demoralising it can be after spending 3 hours trying to get that face just right only to for it to end in failure. The attention to detail on each player is outstanding.

Kits= Each team come with it own Retro/classic kit 2048 all made by the man himself. Back to basics kits of the past look truly amazing ingame, the Scotland shirt is a personal favourite of mine with the Peruvian one a close 2nd. Their simplicity gives that authentic classic feel which I personally love.

All this makes what is gonna be the greatest Classic National Teams file to date, so let's support Rat that way he'll keeps churning these squads out for us all to enjoy.

Over the next few days I will be posting a brief (not like the essay I've just written above) to the point review about each team, style of play, top players,Strengths, weaknesses etc so keep an eye out for them.

I first got sent England so I'll start with them.

ENGLAND- 4-2-1-3

Now 1st of all picking a 23 man squad is always gonna raise some eyebrows, why no Scholes? Hoddle? Geoff Thomas?etc, but it's impossible to please everyone so no moaning.

After playing hour and hours with them, even winning the konami Cup I have noted a few players of interest.

Star player.=Sir Bobby Charlton (long range volleys are his specialty) although I did start to abuse them after a bit instead of passing.
https://youtu.be/fwYnApVVD8E Check out this beauty.

Flair Player= Gazza (capable of anything) usually comes on for Charlton late 2nd half

Suprise Player= Wilf Mannion (the ex Boro boy maybe not known to so many but you'll fall in love with him after a couple of games) for those who have never heard of him look him up on Wikipedia he's a legend.

Impact player = Sir Stanley Matthews (bring him on for the last 15 minutes he terrorises the opposition.)

National treasure= Sir Bobby Moore (nuff said)

Strengths= Great midfield/strikeforce/pacey wingers . When they link together they can cause anyone problems.

Weaknesses= Ocassional lapses of concentration in defence, struggled against the likes of Holland who shift the ball round quickly.

Enjoyed playing with them, playing against them they will always give you a chance.

"COME ON ENGLAND"

Donatoson Rating 8.5/10

NEXT UP HOLLAND. .....

If all the editors in the community received a review half as inspiring as this one then we would all be happy.

Seriously mate, I am so chuffed to read all this. You have captured the 'soul' of my teams/file... this is aimed at people wanting to play with the very best of the best each nation has ever had.

I hope for people to play with the teams liking a particular 'unfamiliar' player and then go and search the internet for any info on the player that they can find. Thus we all keep the memory of these legends alive.

Players from as far back as the 1930 World Cup, it has been a slog to select the players for each squad, but to see you comment on the lesser known players has really made my day.

I have thanked you many times in private but wanted to thank you in public... Thank you for all those hours and hours of testing the teams for me pal

Enough of this soppy talk ... now get testing Uruguay, I sent them to you over half hour ago :D

Cannot wait to see who you have in the Ireland squad mate. If you want a play tester for Ireland and Wales mate I will be at the ready when you've done them. I think you have already said it but wanted to check if any of the players are suitable for the classic clubs I'm creating i.e. Bolton and QPR you ok for me to use them?

Cheers

Hey everyone,

I have only got 2 more players to finish for Yugoslavia and that is the first 20 teams complete... so I may try to get 4 more teams done an that way users can set up a 24 team World Cup

So this may delay me releasing the file by a day or two... so it would probably be late Saturday or Sunday.

The four extra teams will go into the 'Other Latin American Teams' and I am thinking that the four teams will be:-

Northern Ireland
Wales
Ireland

and one other...?? :erm:

What do you guys all think?
