Hey everyone,

I have only got 2 more players to finish for Yugoslavia and that is the first 20 teams complete... so I may try to get 4 more teams done an that way users can set up a 24 team World Cup

So this may delay me releasing the file by a day or two... so it would probably be late Saturday or Sunday.

The four extra teams will go into the 'Other Latin American Teams' and I am thinking that the four teams will be:-

Northern Ireland
Wales
Ireland

and one other...?? :erm:

What do you guys all think?

Rat IMO Sweden is the best team missing from the first 20. Maybe Belgium too.

Sweden in 50's-60's was a terrible team

Such a shame Konami have locked out being able to put classic kits on licensed international teams.would have been fantastic to have the national anthems etc.. can't see why they don't give the option to add a 3rd,4th kit to these sides?

For the of my second team reviews we take a look at the boys in orange;

HOLLAND

Now where do we start with these guys? probably the greatest footballing nation never to have won the world cup despite making the finals 3 times, their only success as a footballing nation coming in the 1988 European championships. A footballing nation which is as renound for its "Total football" as it is for its infighting especially when reaching major tournaments.

In the 70s we were introduced to the invention of total football (Totaalvoetbal) basically a tactical theory which meant that any player could take over the role of any other player in the team (except the goalkeeper) A tactic which was also used upto a point by the great Hungarian side of the 50s. For it to work each player needs to be comfortable in multiple positions.

They reached their 1st world cup final in 74 vrs West Germany, led by the great Johan Cruyff and coach Rinus Michels they took the lead through a Neeskens penalty before Breitner also from the penalty spot and then a winning goal for the Germans coming from "Der bomber" Müller sealed a defeat for the Oranje.

The 78 final also ended in defeat this time against the hosts Argentina 3-1 . Two of the goals coming in extra time, things could have been so different is Resenbrinks effort had not hit the post in the last minute of normal time. Note that Cruyff, Van Hanegem and Beveren all missed the tournament due to them refusing to play.

Success at last.... The 88 European championships in West Germany at last brought the "flying dutchmen" their first title, Rinus Michels returned as coach and with the likes of Gullit and Van Basten leading the way, we were treated to some great football. I vaguely remember watching them beating England 3-1 courtesy of a Van Basten hattrick. moving into the semis in which they gained some sense of revenge against the germans for their final loss of 74. The final was against the USSR and a header from Gullit and a stunning volley sealed their 1st success.

In 2010 they once again suffered heartbreak losing in extra time against the Spanish 1-0 thanks to an extra time goal from Andreas Iniesta, Robben had a great opportunity to score only for Casillas to make a great save. It wasn't to be.
Since then Dutch football seems to be going through a transitional period and did not qualify for the last euros. They will be back though I have no doubts about that.

Anyone who grow up watching the premier league will know what an impact Dutch players have had , from the likes of Gullit although not in his pomp to others like Bergkamp and Van Nistelrooy, all have brought us special memories. Personally I would put Bergkamp in the top five to have ever graced the premier he was a beast of a player and was a key part of the great "Invincibles" Arsenal team. Players like Rijkaard,Koeman,De Boer, Robben and Sneider have all made themselves household names playing in the best leagues in Europe. An amazing achievement the for which a relatively small nation.

Now ingame:

They are a joy to play with and an absolute nightmare to play against, their movement and passing is just too much at times and I've constantly been opened up by them, some of my most satisfying wins have come against them and that's because they are so bloody good. Attack wise they are true to their roots by playing with a flexible formation while defensively a high press press keeps us on our toes when playing out from the back.

Formation 4-2-1-3

Star Player= who else Johan Cruyff, widely regarded as one of the top 5 players of all time.

Flair player= Arjen Robben, wonderfully gifted, can more or less do anything, get him on his left foot he is lethal.

Impact player= Marco Van Basten, the complete striker in my opinion, not chosen for making an impact off the bench, he's chosen because he always makes an impact. More or less unstoppable.

Suprise player= Van Hanegem, awesome midfielder, plied his trade with feyenoord making almost 250 apearences scoring 88 goals. Although it would seem obvious to have Gullit in the starting lineup do not underestimate this guy he can play. Ruud Krol came a close 2nd, a versatile player, mainly used as a left back or sweeper he could play anywhere across the back line aswell as a defensive midfielder making him perfect for their style of play.

Personal favourite= Dennis "the menace " Bergkamp oozes class. Scored some great goals with him already. https://youtu.be/0dwNMjbFQMQ

Strengths= Total football, class in every department, speed, speed of passing, interplay, can score from anywhere. Van Basten,Cruyff, I could go on.

Weaknesses = I've found that when playing against them that if you can get the ball off them when they are on the attack they are vulnerable at the back because of the space they leave. Although Stam is a monster in the air he can be slow on the floor making is posible to rob him when he's turning, also when crossing if you can miss the big guy then there are posibilities for the attacking side.
On a personal note I did waste countless crossing opportunities trying to replicate Van Basten's stunning volley against the USSR. One day it'll go in.

"Kom op Holland"

Conclusion = One of my favourites nations to play with and against. Just the fact that I've not mentioned the likes of Neeskens,Israel,Rep,Haan,Van Nistelrooy amongst others give you an idea of their sheer class in depth. " Do I like orange " yes i do. Alot!

Donatoson rating= 9.5/10

Next time....Peru and Uruguay... Hasta pronto PESheads.

My review on Portugal:

First, I want to say that it's an honor to make part of this project.
I might not be as old as most of the people here, but I do like classic football a lot. Players like Eusébio, Maradona, Pelé, Rui Costa, Zidane, Higuita, etc. have always been my favourites.

Now, the review (might not be as good as Donatson's review, but still worth reading ) :

Portugal:

Portugal football team is mostly known by it's recent achievements, like winning the Euro 2016. Some people said it was unfair, but I don't think so.
Before, their greatest achievement was the 3rd place at the 1966 World Cup, in the times of Eusébio. They also participated in the 1986 world cup, and, most recently, in the 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 World cups. They hosted Euro 2004, where Portugal lost to Greece on the final (1-0).

In PES 2017, I would say they are a great team to play with, I played several matches and I didn't get bored for a second. Dynamic football, with great dribblers and powerful shooters. Of course, there might be some great portuguese players missing, like Peyroteo (I missed him a lot on this team), João Vieira Pinto, Simão Sabrosa, Nuno Gomes, etc. But when making a 23 players squad, choices have to be made, and I agree with the players chosen for this team.

Formation: 4-1-2-3 - I think it works perfectly.

Notable players:

Eusébio - The best player of the squad in my opinion. Even though Cristiano Ronaldo has better dribbling skills, Eusébio's powerful shots can change the score of the game in a blink of an eye.

Cristiano Ronaldo
- Great dribbling skills, fast and powerful shots. Scored a great acrobatic goal against during a game where I was controlling Classic France. It's Ronaldo, what else do I need to say?

Manuel Bento
- Great goalkeeper. He's like an 1.73 meters tall brick wall. Very solid defense between the goal posts. Not very tall, but he's agile like a cat, jumps like a grasshopper if needed.

Humberto Coelho - Great defender and great header. Scored some decisive goals with his head. If you're playing against Portugal, expect his moustache to cause some impact on the result .

Rui Costa
- Great player, made some great crosses and passes, some which ended up in a goal. He also has a powerful shot.

Luis Figo - Great midfielder, with great skills, like Rui Costa.

Surprise player: Pauleta
I didn't want to use him because I had Eusébio (It's hard to substitute him ), but I decided to give Pauleta a chance. He played about 30 minutes, but he caused a great impact on the result, scoring 2 goals - a great header and a powerful shot from far. The game ended Portugal 4-0 France.

The less good: Futre
He is a good player, don't get me wrong. However, his crosses and passes didn't go well, his dribbles often ended up on losing the ball to the opponent. He had only one good moment, when he made a cross which ended up in a goal, but I had to substitute him. Even when the AI was controlling Portugal, he got substituted several times. A. Simões played well in his place.

Faces and kits are perfect, Ratmundo is one of the best editors out there ;)

My rating: Well, if the objective was to bring fun, joy, great moments and good feelings from the past, mission acomplished :) I can give no less than 10/10

Later, I'll try to bring a video where I show the best moments of my games between Portugal and France, but that will take some time of editing.

I'll also try to bring my review of France as soon as possible.

I hope you like the review, sorry if I made any mistakes.

France Review:

France is a great football team, with great players and a great history. Won the World Cup once, the European championship and the Confederations cup twice. The last European championship was almost like a nightmare for the french people, losing the final at home against Seleção das Quinas (Portugal).

Lots of great players played for Les Bleus, and it's hard to choose only 23 players. However, on this file, the team chosen is perfect in my opinion. I think the only player I was missing is Trezeguet but, as I said before, we can't put all the legends in one team, and we already have great strikers on the team, we don't need more. :)

Playing with France feels great. The players are all very fast paced and have very good dribbling skills. It's really the magic of football of another times.

Formation: 4-1-3-2 - works perfectly

Notable players:

Barthez - Great goalkeeper. I didn't know him very well before playing with this team, so I had no idea of what stats he had. After the first game, I went to check his overall. It was 85. But he played like he had 90. Made some great saves.

Kopz - Great player, one of the best in the squad. I didn't knew him before playing with him today, and I went to search on wikipedia about him. Fast, great dribbler. I scored one of my best goals in PES with him today.

Henry - Strong player, also one of the best in the squad. When he wants something, nothing can stop him.

Zidane - Good player, a legend, I like him a lot. Good passing skills and also great dribbling skills. Not the fastest player, but surely one of the best.

Platini - Good player, made some good passes and a great assist in a free kick. Has also some good dribbling skills.

Surprise players:

Benbarek - Another player I didn't know that surprised me for his speed and dribbling skills.

Amaros - Substitute right defender, who surprised me with his speed and dribbling ability. Could be a midfielder or a winger.

My rating: Same as Portugal, for the exact same reasons. 10/10

That's it for France, I hope you enjoy.

I have to upload the video of best moments, maybe in the next days (my internet is slow and I still have to edit it)
