Well, two people already want it, I'm only waiting to see if Rat gives permission :)

I was actually in the process of creating a 1024 x 1024 version guys, but if you have already done this then go ahead ;)

I am a bit gutted that you are binning my managers though, I spent many hours researching these gents.. but I understand if you don't wan them.

philips_99 I will contact you prior to the next release and you can have the 1024 x 1024 version ready day one again - if you like that is? If you send me the link then I will add it to the first post with credits to yourself buddy.

Well, where do I start??
WOW!!! WOW!!! and, yes you've guessed it, WOW!!!

I have played this option file until 3am and as soon as I woke up I was all over it again.
I have always loved the PES series, even when it was going through a rough patch, but since the late ps1 and ps2 days I have not been really excited about the game as I am now. I am not talking about how good the game plays and feels; I am talking about the joy and pure fun the classic national teams brings to the game (hint hint Konami).

This option file, as well as the legends one, has completely added a new dimension to an already great game. Being in my late 30s and remembering, as a young child, Maradona lifting the World Cup in 86 it is with great happiness that I can now play with my early days football idols such as Roberto Baggio, Zidane, Rui Costa, Ronaldo and the likes. All against each other and along each other and all playing along both the previous generations as well as the current one. What more can you ask?

I kicked off with a Portugal - USSR which finished with a cracking 9-0 with Futre and Eusebio scoring most of the goals. C. Ronaldo was overshadowed and this is one of the things I like here. When you might think that the bigger names will be the ones that produce it will actually be those who you might not give enough credit that deliver the goods. Futre's left foot and mazing runs were unstoppable.

I was joined by a mate of mine for a few head-to-heads after. After sorting out the issue with playing with two controllers we were all set. We played a Hungary - Holland, a Brazil - Argentina, a Germany - England, a Peru -Spain and finally a Mexico - Chile. We were impressed by the quality of the kits as the teams walked through the tunnel and onto the pitch. Cruiyff's iconic captain armband contrasting with that classic orange Adidas shirt and Peru's red strip that almost look light it was hand sewed springs to mind. Watching the intros and the replays just to stand in awe was definitely one of the highlights of the night. We were gobsmacked.

More importantly, it felt real and spectacular. Maradona's agility (and hair), Pele's power, Van Basten's heading prowess, Dino Zoff's shot stopping skills are all perfectly recreated. Nothing brings more joy than to see, for instance, Bobby Charlton being denied by Khan's unreal save when the ball looked almost certain to finish on the back of the net. I do not remember stopping a game so often to see the replays.

This is what this option files bring: great goals, great saves, great shots and great moments to remember all courtesy of the players you grew up loving or currently love or your parents did!! This is what a football game should be, fun but at the same time accurate and what I mean with that is just because Maradona has a rate of 99 do not expect him to score with his right foot when out of balance or on the turn. As with the overal PES gameplay, Ratmundo's ratings are perfectly applied.

Further proof of how good this option file is lies in how many games my mate played with me as he usually gives up after being beaten in a couple of matches. But because it was so much fun, even though he kept loosing, he wanted more action and play with different teams.

I could be here all day praising this work of art for this or that reason but I do not think I would do justice to Ratmundo's creation. I wish I knew how to export a goal I scored with Maldini. After scoring that goal, and what a goal it was, I felt whole like life itself has a meaning after all. So if you are looking for a new lease of life for your favourite game, if you are looking to relive your football childhood memories and experience football for what it should be - fun and spectacular goals - then this option file will answer all your payers.

'Nuff said.

Ratmundo: THANK YOU!!!!!

Cheers,
Luis

Luis, WOW my friend.

I truly do not know how to reply to such a review. You have captured the very 'soul' of my file. You have found exactly what I attempted to create.

I am thrilled that you haven't once said that 'this player or that player should be in the file' (like some have done) you have grabbed the file and played it, and are discovering the greats that aren't mentioned in the same breath as Pele, Cruyff, Maradona etc.

Great to see you play with such a variety of teams as well. Mexico v Chile is a match that most people won't be aware of many players, but will fall in love with one or two of them... and hopefully research them and discover just how amazing some of these TRUE LEGENDS really were.

In my 'Thank you list' I mention the PES Stat Sites that I used as a base for the majority of players in my file... but I spent many, many hours tweaking them so that the teams play fast, attacking and attractive football or in one word Entertainment... but at the same time I was careful to avoid the trap of making it too arcade like. It had to be realistic for you classic enthusiasts... and I am thrilled that you think I have achieved this. (this is why I am so thankful to Donatoson, he spent many, many hours playing with the teams and giving me feedback)

Thank you Luis for this review, but most of all I thank you for noticing the fine details that sometimes are not mentioned.

I hope that your mate wins a game eventually ;)

It's not that I don't want the managers (sorry if that made you sad ), I only removed them from my game because of image limit. I really like your work, If I had enough slots I would add them all. I have 3 different edited data sets, and I have to choose carefully what images I can import.

About the second topic: for me it's ok, I can make the 1024x1024 versions. :) I wouldn't even need the credit, you did 99% of the job by yourself :p

In the zip file I made, I putted the kits (in 1024x1024) and the logos in a WEPES folder. I didn't put the manager pictures for the reason I explained above, but, if people want them, I can put them. I just tried to do a version for people that are running out of image slots (just like me )

Link Here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Byfxf6-KxyZ8LV9OM1FWU0RCQVE

Check if everything ok, the teams should be working fine, (any problem please tell me so I can fix it :)) I just putted them all on a WEPES folder but if you want that I create a specific folder for each team like you did in your original file it's ok for me.

Now, a bit of feedback :)

I'm loving this file, one of the teams that I am enjoying the most (besides Portugal, my favourite team ;)) is Scotland. I don't know much about Scottish football, but, after playing the first match yesterday (Scotland vs England, at the 5th minute it was already 1-1 ) I feel in love with it

Also, great review rainsong. This option file is pure magic :) We don't need a time machine, we now have one in our living rooms

gracias philips_99 por el archivo 1024 x 1024 hasi tendre mas espacio

You're welcome, please tell me if it is working well :)

(bueno que te ha gustado, por favor dime si está funcionando correctamente, y perdón por mi español.)

Happened again

Went from edit mode into training mode - came out all reset again

Have you tried to save manually before leaving Edit mode?

You're not the first one complaining about it, I've seen other people here on the forum having that kind of problem, and it's nothing related to the option file, some people can't even change player stats that their changes are reverting automatically. Seriously, I really don't know what it is, but I'm just trying to help

Hello once again PESheads, first of all sorry for the delay in getting this latest team review out, work has been a nightmare lately and any spare time I had I was busy helping with Ratmundos epic file release. Anyway lets get started, today we focus en "LA ROJA" ESPAÑA.

Spain what a country!!!, great food and drink (Pulpo and Estrella Galicia) , great people, great place to live and of course one of the most pasionate footballing nations in the world.
I knew this was the country for me and moved here in 2002 with my Spanish wife and I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made.

Now onto the footy...

While the mighty Real Madrid and Barcelona have continually dominated in European competitions over the years the national team has until 2008 mainly underachieved, in qualification for major tournaments they have often breezed through only to suffer dissapointment on the big stage (just like England). There have been moments of controversy, from the defeat against the South Koreans in the 2002 WC after having two legitimate goals ruled out thanks to some dubious refereeing to the wrongly disallowed goal for offside against England in1996 EC and who can forget Luis Enriques blood covered face after getting elbowed by Tassotti in the 1994 WC to name a few. Their recent successes have at least helped to banish those injustices to the past.

Spain became a member of FIFA 1904 but their football federation wasn't founded until 1909. They played their first match in 1920 beating Denmark 1-0 and have appeared at 14/20 WC and 9/14 EC. They are the only European nation to have won the World Cup on another continent beating Holland 1-0 in extra time, a goal from Iniesta was enough for them to lift the trophy in South Africa. They also are the only country to have back to back Euros, winning in 2008 and 2012 which is a remarkable feat. If we look back though their successes have been a long time in coming , their only other mayor tournament win was when they hosted the Euros in 1964, beating the USSR 2-1 in the final. They would have to wait another 44 years to taste glory again.

Considered the great undeachievers of international football before their recent triumphs , they have always produced players of the highest quality from the likes of Suarez,Butragueño,Raul to present day stars who light up the Premier league every weekend Silva, De Gea, Mata and Cesc just to name a few.
Spain lives it's football with a passion and it's great to sit in a bar listening to all the heated discussions. The Spaniards are not shy at giving their opinions which personally I think is great.

PLAYER PROFILE

Luis Suárez Miramontes (Luisito)

Born-2 May 1935 A Coruña, Galicia,Spain

Living in A Coruña I have chosen one of their favourite sons and one of their alltime greats Luis Suárez. Luis started his club career with Deportivo de la Coruña making his first team debut in 1953 , he went on to play 17 times scoring 3 goals for them before moving to Catlan side España Industrial who were playing in Spains second division. His big break came in 1955 when he signed for the mighty Barcelona where he went on to make 122 apearences scoring 61 goals in a spell lasting 5 years. Nicknamed "el Arquitecto " the Architect due to his elegance and grace he showed on the pitch, he started out as more of an inside forward before dropping into a more deep playmaker role in midfield. In 1960 he became the first Spanish Player to be voted Balon d'or and in the following year he made his move to Inter Milan where he became a club legend. Signing for a then world record fee of £142,000 he went on to play for them 256 times scoring 42 goals he helped Inter to 3 leagues and 2 consecutive European Cups. In 1970 he signed for his final club Sampdoria where he played 63 time scoring 9 times. In1973 he ended a great club career of 458 games scoring 115 goals and went on to manage the likes of Inter,Sampdoria,Depor and Spain amongst others.
For the national team he made 32 appearences scoring 14 goals and was part of Spains first ever mayor tournament win in 1964.
Outside the house he was born there is plaque which reads "In this house on 2 May 1935,the architect of football Luis Suarez was born".
Truly one of footballs alltime greats.

Now lets take a look ingame......

With a mix of their renound "tiki taka "and physical strength defensivley Spain are one of strongest nations in the file.

Formation 4-3-3

Star Player=Luis Suárez, with his 97 long passing and low passing at 94 he is the total midfielder.

Flair Player=Francisco Gento, awesome player, his 97 speed and 94 explosive speed makes him a real threat on the left wing.

Impact Player= David Villa, Spains alltime record goal scorer with 59 in 97 games. He's great to bring on late second half when a goal is needed, more of a sub than a starter IMO.

Suprise Player=Estanislau Basora, magical winger, a combination of 90 ball control, 92 dribbling and 94 explosive speed makes him deadly against any defence.

Personal Favourite = Carlos Puyol, one of my alltime favourite players and ingame I love him just as much. 93 ball winning,92 jump and his incredible stamina 92 means he is as comfortable at right as he is at center back. Mega player!!!

Strengths = Great allround ,physically strong in defence with great technical ability in every department.

Weaknesses = When a goal is needed they are not the tallest up front, so high long ball don't really have an impact.

Conclusion =A solid squad which has a bit of everything, just the fact that I've not mentioned Iniesta, Raul, Hierro gives you an idea of the quality they possess throughout.

Nightmare

Imported it all

Few tweaks to line ups

Go to start a game no data

Go back to edit nothing is there

Had to reimport it all

What exactly is the problem you are having?

What exactly are you trying to 'tweak' ?

If you can post some screens or a video then I'm sure we can help you.
