Can you do anything once you get isnide the statue, i tried shooting the heart but nothing appears to happen. Any suggestions?

My friend said if you unlock the harpoon you can hook it back, use the Sixaxis as a fishing rod to reel it in, and then when you get it you unlock Vice City as that is like a heart because everyone loved it.

i killed my nico with a stupid attempt to blow the heart up using an RPG. this was after spending ages trying to jupm in from my helicopter
