has anyone been relegated yet, i know you cant drop down a division but i was wondering if you get released if your team finishes in the bottom three.

i'm currently with wolves stuck in 20th place with less than half the season to go and i'd actually consider staying on and establishing myself there and see where i/we could finish in my second year but i heard in 09 they let you go.

Hell, I've gotten released even though my team won.

I ain't lying, Manchester United (what was I thinking) kicked me out after a season that included a Premiership title and a Champions League title and Sampdoria did the same, only Champions League switched with UEFA Cup.

This was on the 09 version but BAL has remained virtually the same.

If you play well, Wolves will wanna keep you. If you don't, if you skip too many matches or just play generally bad, they'll kick you out.

It's all chance aswell.

just a tip and it's not 100% so i could be wrong.

i play as a CMF and when the opposition keeper takes a goalkick, if he takes it from the same side of his goal as me on the halfway line it is my job to challenge for it.

however if he takes it from the other side of his goal it is my other CMF's job but if i time my run correct i can run across and jump in to win it. this, i think adds to my match ratings and stats and if i do it for every available goal kick it gives a considerable boost.

maybe if you play as any other position you could jump in for both sided goalkicks.

I'm liking BAL this time around, though I must admit I haven't been paying it for too long.

Did OK in my scout match, and signed for Stoke.

Finding it REALLY difficult to break into the first team, must have played about 10 training matches, and still no dice (though I'm playing as CF and only scored twice I think lol).

Getting generally 5.5 / 6 but have a had a few 6.5 and one 7. After the 7 rating I was 'promoted' to the bib wearing first side in the training match, after which (even though I played quite well??!!!) I only got a 6 rating, and subsequently dropped back to the non-bib wearing morons.

Grr............

I finding it the same. I started BAL yesterday as WF. I scored 3 and made 1 assist, then went to lazio. I got an assist in my first match and I go a 5.5?:shocking: Not fair at all. It's really difficult to do well in training matches.

^Frustrating isn't it.
I started a new BAL, this time I went in the netherlands league. Lazio are to difficult to break.
I got a 7.5 in the scout match and scored a goal. I joined FC Groningen and in the first game I made an assist and got a 6.5 and in the 2ng training match I scored 2 winning goals and got a 6.5 aswell. I hate this. In the training matches the rating is always low. But at least I am doing good. Still it's difficult to break to first team.

Bit of an update on my BAL.

Finally broke into the first team after getting to the bib side in training again, I scored, and got an assist, so got picked as a sub after a rating of 8 in the training match.

Played a few games (mostly from the bench, but started me in cup matches - cool), and got my first pro goal.

However, as the games went on, the manager began to start me, but as my stamina hadn't built up, after the 3rd or 4th game, I could barely run for 10 mins lol

Needless to say, I got bloomin' dropped again!

Played another few training matches, and got another goal or two, and back into the squad.

Got the last couple of games of the season under my belt, and now starting most matches.

Into my second season, signed a new contract with stoke (the only other offer was from Hull) and I've scored twice since (1 in league, 1 in FA cup).

Have had a few 7.5 & 8 ratings, though mostly 6 or 6.5.

So not doing too badly.

Hoping for a decent transfer offer come January.

Tips on how to Start BAL on PES 2010

I played BAL in 2009 for about 15 seasons. I also has similar issues as stated in the same forum for 2009.

I havent started as yet. But have read all of this forum.

I have certain ideas :

1) Taking into consideration the professional and Top Player differences how does this sound.

Start off with Professional after about 6-7 seasons convert to Top Player.

2) In light of your 2010 BAL and 2009 BAL experiences how would you start distibuting the Strength points?

I am thinking on creating a right footed 1.85m high WF.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks

I'd start at Top Player TBH if you start at Pro, then after a few seasons, have a good BAL player, when you switch to Top Player you'll find the change in difficulty too much, just IMO.

About strength points:

If I'm a forward, I'll leave them all pretty even for about half a season, to build a good distribution of points, then I'd start to focus more on Stamina and kicking for a while (or even an extra point or 2 to stamina at the start).

The stamina & inaccuracy in front of goal are major drawbacks at first.

My stamina is 82 already and I am still in the training matches. I scored 5 goals already and 1 of them with team A. Now I am with team B again. Unbelievable. I scored with team A and still got to team B again and team B sucks. They can't play.
Anyway, my stamina is 82 and I don't find it a problem. The shooting is much better than last year aswell. I never scored a goal so far like in pes 09 where I would do the impossible. The teamate's AI is much better though team B still sucks. But when I was with team A, I really had fun.
I think this'll be the last of my training matches though.:)

Sounds good..I was also thinking of starting Top Player...The start is really a pain though...you have to really spend lots of effort to make the first squad let alone get minutes in the game...

How about kicking up the stamina +1 or +2 notches at the beginning? Because when your player starts the match if your stamina isnt as good the match really becomes difficult and you really have to have good positioning skills in order to spread out your stamina.

82 stamina already?

How many training matches have you played, like 2 seasons?!

What did you start with?

I started as a WF so maybe that's why. And in the scout match my player didn't get tired (because I played with my mind and I didn't run all the time) and got a 7.5 match rating in the end. WF can start with 78 in stamina like my old bal. But as you see, you can get it higher in the scout match by doing as I said.:)

I've started with an 81 in stamina once, only to have the next lad have 73.

It aint spending a season training stamina :(

I'm a WF come CF with my focus points as 6 in dribbling and 6 in stamina.

I tend to get all the other attributes up by scoring a goal or two a game with a couple of assists.

At one points I was earning some 25 extra points in kicking alone with EP.

Granted I had mistakenly put it on regular and not professional and the gameplay is now boring as batshit, but hey, at the end of the season I should be ahead of the game and have my shooting somewhere useful.
