I just completed my 1st season on BAL on top player, im a 6ft SMF and play for hull, was alot harder than fifas BAP which was good, so far i got 3assists n 1 goal but i got some poor transfer offers in january and at the end ov the season

Start ov 2nd season n hull hasnt won in 5games, im looking to bust a gut and work hard to get transfered outta ther since they bring anyone in or sell anyone

if you do good in season 2, big clubs will come for you. I went with Arsenal for example after season 2.

I hope so all ive had is offers from other clubs which are bound to get relegated like burnley n wolves cept they never get relegated just stay in the league, D2 should ave been added n if you down in ya club they sell ther best players if they have to etc

The CPU players are completely stupid b@stards - I never get a return one-two, nor do they ever make a through pass for me despite my excellent runs, they just decide to amble to the touchline and then walk out of play with the ball...pillocks.

^^ye i have tht problem sometimes, it would ave been best if they did the call buttons like fifa did, so you press x to call for a pass n triangle for a thru ball

does anyone really struggle at set pieces?? like headers wise? it seems that my player is intent on trying to control the ball wherever it is even when i'm mashing shoot!

i tend to time my headers instead ov mashing buttons so i jus press it once most ov the time, with button mashing maybe it fcks up the signals your sending to ya player so he just does nothing instead

The CPU players are completely stupid b@stards - I never get a return one-two, nor do they ever make a through pass for me despite my excellent runs, they just decide to amble to the touchline and then walk out of play with the ball...pillocks.

What season and what difficulty?

im on season 3, top player.
just down to braindead team-mates, I wont say selfish since I dont think the CPU is clever enough for that.

The "pass recieve" button only works half the time, when the CPU managed to put a good through ball to me, and not hoof it straight to the keeper.

I end up shooting from any reasonable distance and ignore the widemen, since they'll lose possession anyway.

I decided to be an AMF, but seeing as my pace is quite high, and I've made many assists via crosses from the wing, maybe I should have been a winger instead (no way I can tell my "manager" that I guess?).

The predator boots have made me a bit of a midfield goal machine I have to say, with only 71 shot power and 77 shot accuracy, I've hit some crackers with the right foot. Waiting for that lucrative offer to a big club in europe(I started with lorient and now at stade rennais).

I just won the world cup with england in my 5th season . Was player of the tournamen as well. So I have a good chance of winning WPOTY.

Made a CF, Top Player, Scored a SCREEEEEEEEEEAMER in my Scouting match from a good 40ish yards out, and many other fantastic goals including a high backheel from behind me lob of the keeper from outside the Mixer... Really enjoying my Career in PES2010 BaL so far slow gameplay suits me just fine =D, ty KONAMI, I just thought I'd share this it's nothing to do with PES though, Don't KONAMI make Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, I used to play with them in my Primary school... good times... good times...

penalties!?

ok, seriously? what's the deal with penalties..i brought my team into the semis against man utd. (scored 2 goals..ofcourse they equalized when the manager sent me off for no reason)..anyway, we got to the penalties and we lost terribly, as we scored only one goal..and this always happens with penalties in BAL mode..beside the fact that it's frustrating to see your teammates screw up your efforts, it just seems surreal that penalties, usually a certain goal, are made to be almost impossible to score by your teammates..

..anyone else find that disturbing?

I played as WF with Arsenal in season 3 and they really passed the balll well. I know sometimes they're stupid, but overall much better than pes 2009's.
As for pass request button. It doesn't work all the time I know. But I like it this way since you'll never know even in reality when someone will pass the ball to you so you have to be ready all the time.

Yeah, the AI wont pass to you all the time when you request it. I just find making runs and hoping the AI recognises and makes the pass. I play SS/CF so end up making runs onto the wing and crossing or getting a header from a cross. About 1/3 of my goals have come from crosses this year!

The pass request button seems to make the AI stop what they're doing and focus on getting the ball to you. If you use it too often you can risk breaking up moves and/or slowing everything down. If you're in a good position or making a good run, the AI will usually pass to you anyway.

Just had my first penalty shootout. Semi-final of the French cup, Toulouse won the first leg 2-0, we (Marseille) won the second leg 2-0. We lost 10-9 after 11 penalties each. I scored mine though, beat the keeper even though he went the right way, which was nice.

^really?..sounds like your teammates take the penalties better, so maybe there's a glitch in my game or something:/

Just finished Euro 2012 with England. Got to the final and lost 3-2 to Germany. We were 2-1 up when I was subbed off with 10 minutes to go, which was annoying, although I wasn't playing well.

Won the French league with Marseille. Transferred to Chelsea for the start of the fourth season, so hopefully I'll have a decent chance of winning the Champions League.

Season 1: Grenoble - 35 apps, 5 goals, 5 assists, 6.50.
Season 2: Bordeaux - 45 apps, 9 goals, 8 assists, 6.78.
Season 3: Marseille - 43 apps, 17 goals, 8 assists, 6.89.

Highest attribute: long pass speed (91)

I am really happy about the update. They put in the ADIDAS F50i green/black/white stripes. I just bought them in reality (for 5 a side matches I do in reality), and now in BAL I can play with them aswell.
