You should see your player improve a lot more at Ajax as they will have more training points than Heracles. With set pieces its not just the place kicking that says who is best. For long free kicks & corners its place kicking combined with long pass acc & speed, for short free kicks its combined with shot acc & curling & penalties with shot acc. Also form arrows play a part so if you have the best ratings by say 5 points & are on a green arrow & the other player is on red he will take them

I'm currently at my second season, and I play for Uniao De Leiria. My overall is 65, I'm an CMF/DMF and I'm also the club captain! I also have three international caps. I have scored 2 goals for the club, and things aregoing very smoothly!

Thnx for that didnt know about curling and penalties but when you see your data stuff where you see how much attack you have and shot acc. I dont think there is curling & penalties and most of the time i have a red arrow.

Hi, guys)
As for me, I play my second season for Valveik (Dutch club)
To say the truth, in real life the club is pretty shitty, however with me we placed 4th in the league and qualified for the Europa league, also I am now the captain)

In the second season it's November and we've just played our first group stage game with Hihon Sporting. We lost 0-2. The level of spanish footbal seems to be a bit higher)

I'm in my second season, started in Cesena, did a whole season there. in January of second season went to Rio Ave in Portugal and have already signed a contract with Villarreal. going there in July. I started with RWF position but never made a game in that position. in my third game as a CF got the position. made two games in the national team. started with 59 OVR, i have now 64 OVR.

there's no real short-cut to upgrading your shot acc, max out your training points, score lots of goals especially in the champions league games. other than that i don't know.

I'm in my ninth season and my shot acc is only 75. I play RMF. It probably rises quicker for Forwards or Strikers.

The stats that rose quickest for me were attack, passing, explosive power, speed and dribbling

i think i'd lost in 4-5 finale

i stop playing after 10th season but planning to continue..

i really love this mode... i've 2 friend playing this mode..
one or two times in a month or champions league matchday we play a tournament together in 1 team using our own player by registering them into some random team we like.. (yes like 3 controller in one side using 1 or 2 monitor)..
We played like that since the first series of BAL..

i notice you left real madrid to move to bayern, why?

im currently at real mardid and thinking of moving because the team is starting to suck a little, especially the defence, which can be very irritating.

Your game stats are so different compared to my game purely because we play different positions.

I think this gives the BAL mode great replay value

hey guys, new here, hopefully I'll stick around, nice forum!

So I've been playing BAL since its first appearance. In real life I play as Centre Back/Sweeper but in the early versions it wasn't possible to play CB, so I spent quite some time playing as a DMF/CMF. Mastered defensive duty in those days, so I thought it could be a nice challenge to start a career as a CB. So I did and to my surprise, in PES 12, defending is a whole different story.

I quickly set up my player, based on myself. 179cms, 72kgs, Human Dynamo mould, blah blah blah, 67 overall. My first club was Dutch side De Graafschap. Couldn't impress the manager in the first training match (Playing on top player) but slowly got my place in the first 11. The team lacked consistency, winning 3 in a row, drawing two and losing four but in the end we reached the semis in the Dutch Cup and ended up in a respectable 8th place. I scored three times (including a 25-yard screamer) and got an assist. All indicated I'd be staying at De Graafschap but I got two unexpected offers from Atlético de Madrid and Olympique de Marseille so I signed for the latter. OM is a good team for early seasons, they offer a 12-point training 'regime' so to speak and usually play in Europe.

I know most of you guys are CF/SS/WF/AMF, but any defensive tips? Sometimes I struggle to put up good defensive displays (got an avg. of 6.0 in my first season, defensive rating of 6.7), anyone willing to help?

So made my guy a ss tho i've been trained to play as an cf and rwf! Just started my 6th season with 82 overall with speed merchant card my stats are:
Att: 88 header acc: 87 dribble:86 short pass: 84 shot acc:93 place ball and swerve: 82 top speed: 81

I'm losing the will to live with this year's BaL now :(

Halfway through my 6th season, playing for AC Milan, 79 OVR...got short pass accuracy of 97 and short pass speed of 91, yet I can't pass 5 yards to one of my team mates, if there's an oppo player within half a pitch length of where I'm passing, as they all get intercepted

Don't feel like I'm able to impose myself on games much more than I could when I was starting out, and was only about 61-62 OVR, especially when having top end passing abilities doesn't seem to make any difference

And despite winning the european midfielder of the year award last season, and being the captain of one of the biggest teams in Europe, I still haven't played a single game for Portugal! I don't want it to be too easy to get an international call up (like it has been in previous versions where I've been picked despite playing badly), but I don't see what else I can do to get a call up, other than wait for the existing national players to retire :)
