Anyone else noticed that Arshavin is too overrated and a real pain in the ass in MLO? He has condition/form, weak foot acc and freq 8! That means that he is always orange or red, and you virtually can't stop him if you defender has 80 def or less.....which is the case in most MLO teams.
Just lost a game 4-2, with arshavin scoring 4 goals with dribbles beginning from his own half. The lag certainly doesn't make defending any easier..

This is my normal formation but just played one of those 4 up front players that play kick and rush rugby..........erm sorry football. So changed my formation to counter this:
Made Ruskin and El Moubakari CBs and Winsnes a second DMF and it worked a treat! Won 3-0 despite him having a great team of players!
I have been playing a 4-1-3-2 and been getting spanked too often. i may need to go to a 4-4-1-1 until i get better players.
i thought i would miss the old formation UI but i really dig the new drag and drop interface. i was one of those people who would tweak and edit the formations and change people's roles and it's a lot easier now.

Just played a cup i managed to win 3 times in a row scoring 10 times, very happy with that. I got knocked out in the semifinal due a silly goal. I have noticed it really isn't that hard after you qualify for the knockout stages. Hope i will qualify more often cause it was my 1st time. Bought Van der Sar but he isn't defending the goal like i expected. I think my next buy is Cassano or Lavezzi need a quick little striker Castolo is doing it for me now he isn't bad though.
lyc10- The ridiculous formations are so annoying because they work. I was so close to throwing the controller earlier because the dbag I was playing put 3 forwards and 3 midfielders right outside my box, effectively playing 4-0-6. I was leading 1-0 and he frigging gets an equaliser at the end. It's been a long time since I've played someone who played a formation or game that looked anything like a real game of soccer. Pretty much getting tired of MLO after only a week because of the morons who exploit the programming in the game. You almost have to play a five man defense because of all the players everyone puts near your box.
i agree with you, its a shame because the concept of the mode is excellent. however after playing the game for a week, theres simply too many of these cheesers just aiming to win and not play. now that i've built a good team, but it still doesnt help me cope with people who play 4-0-6, most of the time 4-3-3 players are pretty lame themselves in the way they play, its a shame really, hope pes 2012 is better:no:

Just get a defense that doesn't have default players, quick players are essential to eat the through balls. Play a medium d line, and don't close down all the time, use x to close down and use your player to cover passing options. Use a DM to man mark their best passer (even two dms) and watch them run in circles in the final 3rd trying to figure out wtf to do (while not having the benefit of a pinpoint passer). And don't be afraid to rush your keeper out, most people simply can not lob.
Btw I take what the other guy gives me. I prefer a possession style with SMF's just behind the AM area on the wings (so they aren't too high and act like cheesing WFs) I pass it around, get him to slide tackle and lay on the ground which opens up holes in the middle. And if you play without WFs but with SMFs they provide extra defensive help.
I'm not sure, but if you were real desperate for defensive wing support, you could play with sidebacks AND wingbacks since wingbacks are considered midfielders.

For people that play on ps3, check the asset ranking, this guy (milton_segura) has 46 mil (2nd highest is like 30 something million, not even close) and has played 800+ matches which is totally bullshit. I checked the ranking regularly and that guy wasnt in the top ten last night. Moreover, he has won 80% but have only qualified to comp elimination phase like couple times.
Oh well, the top 5 are all suspicious except lyc10..
so now, Im wondering how to report this guy.

Fishy??122 winning streak is defo a cheater..lol..Gotta report it soon before everybody start doin it..this sucks..I feel bad for ppl like us who already play so many games. Even your 400 matches are already amazing..given the game was out a couple of week ago..
definitely played way too much lol, getting to the point where i'm quite fed up with some of the stupid shit that happens

Here's my most recent update, having improved my squad a lot recentley.
Here's my squad:
GK: Forster. Decent enough for me, does the job well and makes the odd good save. Valued at 150 million which is quiet a lot, but i can't find a good keeper for cheaper so i'll have to stick with him for the time being.
CB: Williamson. Very happy with how he's doing, a key part to my defence as he's very strong and can keep up with the very best in terms of pace. Hoping for a value rise of about 35k+ aswell which is surely deserved for a Newcastle regular.
CB: Mancienne. He's probably my best defender, can turn defence into attack and is more then capable at the back. One of my best players aswell, i'm not really focusing on improving either Mancienne or Williamson anytime soon.
CB: D.Wilson Stronger then i'd thought he'd be, i'd like someone a little higher rated then him, but he's really good value for money
CM: Ledley Very, very cheap for a player who is one of Celtic's star midfielders so i'm hoping for a value increase of at least 20 million. Fahey did poor for me, and Ledley's only just joined but he looks to have strong dribbling ability. He's doing well for me, and i don't feel the need to replace him at the moment.
CM: Ramsey Valued quiet low for a player of his ability, and in the long term when he recovers from injury he should be up around the 200 million mark so i hope i'm making some good buisness here. Strong player, very good alongside Adam and can find the net aswell.
CM: Adam Really impressed with him, if i had to pick one player as a standout star player i'd pick him. Awseme captain with a lot of ability and always seems to be in the right position to find the net and is so crucial at set-pieces. A strong corner taker, confident penalty taker and sublime free-kick taker who can make a real impact when i'm not playing very well.
RM: Sinclair Really vital bit of flare for me on the wing, i don't really have another standout winger so it's vital that Sinclair's so good for me. He's got a lot of speed, some great dribbling ability and a good finisher.
CF: Piquionne Really like him, he's so good at finishing and despite being a big lad, he's a fast player aswell who can cause all sorts of havock to defences.
CF: Carroll A great goalscoring ability to win my matches, i'd like Javier Hernandez to replace him but i don't see myself being able to raise that sort of cash.
CF: F.Campbell Scores a lot of goals, very fast and links up with Scott Sinclair well. He's had a value increase of 20 million or so recentley, but i'm hoping that the value rise increases more towards the 200 million mark.
SUBS
Basham My back-up defender, should have a value increase really as a regular for Blackpool. Fills in when i need to chuck a 4th defender at the back and does the job i suppose, not too much about him to be honest though.
Mulumbu Only brought him on once or twice when i've needed to hold onto a game so i haven't seen much of him, but i know that his value is going to increase by some way.
Bannan He's in for a value increase, rated as low as 56 but he's still very good when he does play, good battler and overall a good player. Never gets a game, and only got 3 games for me but i do recommend him to teams looking for someone to play regular football for a very low price.
Dorrans Not that good, even though he probably should be. Being patient with him though, if he gets his deserved rating and value increase then he could be looking at a place back in my starting XI.
M.Davies Just signed him in place of Jonjo Shelvey, he deserves a value increase as he's getting a lot of gametime at Botlon. Yet to play him, but i'm confident he'll do well.
Hooper Maybe not as much of a flare asset as i'd have liked but really capable when i need to attack and chuck in a 3rd striker. Should get a large value increase as Celtic's star forward, it's just a matter of them changing his value.
Walters Real bargain, was happy with Anthony Stokes but when i saw Walters availible at his price i just had to get him. Really good work rate, gets the odd goal aswell and it's really good to have Hooper & Walters to bring off the bench when things aren't going well.

Is it just me, or has the quick match cost risen by about a lot.
Generally the cost is usually 4,000-4,200 yet i've been having to pay 5,000 today and late last night.

Have you recently signed a player(s)? As the cost of a match depends on the players in your team. The better the players the higher you pay to play but also I believe the more you will get for a win etc.

Rly i am going fine now, had a 8 match winning streak ... then lost to a laggy shitty through pass playing asshole.
What starts to piss me off big time now are those people from France, Spain or Italy and there shitty lagging connections.
fix that shit KONAMI or move those players to there own ML online .... it just cost me another game. If you start to get to around 530 rating and then capow a few laggers ...
