i hadnt tried the regular ML for this edition so i started it and the AI is really just as lame as ever. not that i m beating all the teams, its just not intelligent football.

so in both ittirations of ML, repetitiveness creeps in rather early. for some reason i was adamant that ppl will change their style of playing as time went on, but ppl who started early had their limits with lag and gameplay and new idiots joined in.

but yes this PSN down thing is good, cause i was pretty addicted to MLO, i dont think i ll be back on it as much anymore

Well I was telling how I was doing. Some people just didn't like the content *shrug*

I just can't get into MLO. Feels repetitive, plus having to play people half way across the world makes finding opponents a pain sometimes (nothing like sitting for 5-10 minutes waiting to find a game)

I am actually surprised how many euros play master league versus real clubs. I am not knocking anyone but just surprised. I love playing real clubs and probably more starry-eyed about clubs than most (I am an odd fellow where PES actually got me into euro football - now I watch it on TV all the time; becoming a bigger sport than ever in the U.S. - hopefully they will stop trying to sell us the MLS here so it doesn't interfere with the Premier League or Serie A tv schedule). So I want to play Liverpool, or Chelsea with their actual rosters, no imposters. Master League seems, by comparison, like playing my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers on Madden and putting Peyton Manning on my team......never in a million years. Just ain't right.

I've been playing PES for a while, and I really have no faith on things being ironed out.

With how Konami works they iron one thing out and wrinkle something else.

I blame their business model.

I mean I really don't enjoy playing. BAL is okay, ML is shaky and limited, MLO has issues, nearly game breaking general gameplay issues all around, almost no product support. The most fun I ever have when I play PES is when I'm in training learning new tricks and shots (fun to knock in a few free kicks with the knuckle ball shot [no spin on ball and random swerve] and I can't justify buying a game for it's training mode.

time for you to go to the little big planet forum then mate, probably more your speed ;)

when you say content do you mean crying into you granmas hanky??

Not to worry though not for everyone, I personally love the game there are absolutly things that can be improved by the foundation of football is there and if you understand and actually play football you get rewarded... no doubt you cant get past the first 100 odd games where it is very tough to get going...

Cue pimple comments etc ...;)

Again, I've been playing PES for years, and I've played PES11 since it came out in what, October? I stopped playing for 3-4 months and came back to MLO recently and was indeed rusty (was in D3 so I had some ability). Most recently I won some, drew most, got creamed a couple times. I can take my beating when I'm outplayed. But when it comes down to the game being built poorly is where I draw the line.

As I've stated multiple times (and a point you won't address) is the game modes are largely repetitive, typically small in scale, and littered with problems and bugs (not to mention lack of support). Over the past 4 years, PES has taken very small baby steps, and they still manage to trip and fall. About the only good thing they did was adding BAL (which they stopped innovating) and the graphics engine which is superb, and adding more animations.

And for another point, it's not often that I see players on MLO that play realistic football (and for that matter regular ML as well). The game isn't exactly a sim.

btw, what is the little big planet forum?:erm:

Punctuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and, yes I did tell how I was doing in MLO (and I've done so before you were even on the forum).

But you felt you needed to interject into a conversation I was having with "Omgz you fifa fanboi, get off der interwebz, you ain't 1337 like me with 5000 MLO games played dawg!!??!!!11?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

 And do you seriously use "Not!" in daily conversation? That faded out back in 1999.

If only you'd take cafc's lead and at least attempt to converse above a 15 year olds level you wouldn't look so contradictory (if you even know what that means)...:ninja:

Im screwed as Im on PSN and desperate to get back into the game...

Again its ok for us to disagree, but for me MLO is true magic, the AI on Master league is weak at best and cheats often to make it seem competitive, on MLO you are playing against players that know most of the exploits, and know most of the cheap goals and are working their balls of to counter you doing the cheap rubbish, so you have to play innovatively and have to put the significant time in to really built the money and the best team... for me it is what football gaming should be about, I really dont feel or see the frustrations you seem very irritated by, the depth of MLO for me is huge, as you built your team the pressure to win builds as your team is worth more and the wages are more so you cant afford to get relegated and play against weaker teams... with the transfer market providing amazing opportunites for hidden players who are better in different positions and the constant debate re subs raging on...

Overall very very impressed this yeah with PES And particualrtly MLO it is the future of the series.. that and the BAL online with 10 other players online...

Well my main issues in MLO are the lag problems (never played a single player from North America)

and of course lag cheaters (which I haven't seen in a while) and general gameplay problems. I like the mode itself, but they need to work on the divisions and player signings.

It's just hard to get into it for me since whenever I find the time to play, the tournaments are closed. Playing a 20 minute exhibition match for 200k really isn't fun or worth it in the sense that I'm not competing for much.

mate I love the League games... 200k thats a lot more than I averagely earn per game.. Im normally div4 just been promoted div 3 ... the competitions here in Australia (londoner relocated) are from 10pm onwards... absolutely perfect timing for me... I rarely play anyone from AUS.. I find the lag just slows down gameplay..

As I said mate its cool for us to disagree, but for me I love it ... 300 plus games in and absolutely adore it..

Very angry at this PSN thing... on another note, i think the div rankings are done very well as well as the signings .. both work very well IMHO

Whos on your team??

Alex, Cahill, De Jong, the Costa Rican CB Martinez, Beria, Santacroce, and some well rounded winger I picked up testing a new tactic (maciolli or something) had to sell Huntelaar for him though, but I didn't like how Huntelaar often handled first touches (non shooting touches). Was a bit too clumsy.

Half tempted to sell my winger and pick up Agbo to see how if his speed helps my formation.

I know some people want signings to be based on various outcomes rather than just how much money you earn. Like what your division rank is, what formation you play, how successful you are recently and historically. Plus having to pay salary. Basically make signings similar to offline master league.

i find it lags alot less in the tournments. is that just me?

Montanaro, i do apologize for my terrible use of punctuation, grammer and apparenlty words like "not" that are from another era and no longer considered suitable for todays society. i have played around 1300 mlo games since release, which isnt that many compared to some. however, obviously enough time to make me lose all concept of time and reality. having read your above message (which really hurt btw) i am going to go back to school and learn to read and write all over again. sorry for offending you, i am deeply sorry. i can no longer sleep, and even if psn was up i still could not concentrate on the game because of how hurt i am about all this.

i now see clearly that this no longer just a gaming forum. i will leave now and only return when i have learnt to write, punctuate and go on and on and on and on and on and on about irrelivant stuff like your super duper 15 year old loving self.

thanks for opening my eyes.

much love

Melbourne... my team is diego in goal, Left back is Debuchy, centre back of zapata and Antilino, right back Marvaux, DF Gargano, CM Inler, AM , LWF Juan Mata, CF Iaquinta, RWF/SS Pellisier

I love this team, I want Macarrone on the bench ASAP, As well as Rosina...

I just love buiulding these guys up, I want to bust into div 2 and do games only against similar levels, bring in some big cash and build again...

Overall this mode is the mode that has brought me back from the dark side...

Hi 5

Just had to register and comment after last night's frustration! I think i'm a good player, play with a lot of variety, score loads from outside the box and love battling against good footballing players... I've got myself a nice team, consistently winning, even with the mad pes 'balancing coding', crazy misses defenders going the wrong way passing just doesn't work properly one opp shot goes thru keeper etc etc, that kicks in when you get to about 530 - 550 points (you will know what i mean if you know what i mean). Last night i got myself to 549, then got cut off against a d5 player and lost 20 POINTS... the about an hour later, after getting it back to 540... playing div 3 plyr, 2-0 up, happens again, lose 16 points. Draw a game with D5, down to 500 odd, another draw, the balancing coding kicks in bigtime and lose 1-0 to d5 and am suddenly at 481. All that hard work undone in 2 hours! Bloody annoying!!! But i will still try again... ;-) Am really starting to get the hang of the variety of shots available, scored a stunner with Schweinsteiger, dipping volley 30 yards. For the record, scored a goal with a defender from my own six yard box with a clearance, unbelievable. I think the players are getting better and more original than before, there seems to be a lot less dry low cross rubbish (i don't mind it when they try it, v easy to stop and creates great counters for you) and boring play. Plenty of great battles goin down, enjoying it.

Forgot I had Dempsey as well, not the greatest stats, but he is a battler and can knock goals in. Before I quit MLO a while back I had the plan of creating an all USA team, unfortunately there really aren't many good USA players in default PES. Donovan, Dempsey, Howard, and Altidore, but not an entire starting 11.

Finally got a formation I like, no competitions open now though.

Just played a d1 guy with all the best players, know what he does? 1-2 passes all the way down the field every time...

I'd probably win a lot more too if I had 4 guys in attacking positions and 1-2 passed, but I am to play realistically. I don't see this too often though thankfully, I've noticed a lot more people will back pass than a few months ago, but generally there is little build up play.

whats your formation now montanaro?

i think in d1 90% of the time i played speed to the corner low crosses or get cheated on and the rest 10% play the 1-2 passes really fast, no build up play ever by anyone
