Update on my last post (page 4 I think):
A few days ago I qualified for the next round of a Division 4 Cup. 1st match was a bye as the other guy apparently disconnected. Quarter final match I was winning 1-0 till the last kick of the game my opponent equalized. I was gutted, but he was rubbish at penalties (4 of the 5 went down the middle) so luckily I managed to win.
In the semis I won comfortably 2-0 and was then in the final. Practically two hours after the tournament started I was in my first big match.
Scored a sublime lob from 25 meters, even scored a second. Then the other guy got one back and I basically made sure I didn't lose the ball anymore. First trophy in the bag. I got 1 million in cash by the way, for those interested in knowing the prize money.
Anyway, my team is now:

As you can see, I've been playing with two squad fillers in my starting lineup. Its worked pretty well, I have a win % of about 45 after nearly 200 games and I score on average 1.4 goals and concede about 0.85 per game.
Ideally, I'd like to get Van Der Sar, Forlan, Naldo and maybe Lampard/Toure Yaya into my team by the end of the month. You may have noticed but I've got a lot of big strong guys in my team, I think it really helps. If I have Naldo, Distin, Bouba Diop and Yaya Toure in my team I should be winning every ball in the air from the opponents goalkick.

You are exactly right. Funny thing is though, I have a pretty decent subs bench, have el moubarki, wesley (70+ on cmf and amf) petrobenov and elmander. I have enough subs to bench the ones with a purple arrow. That game though both juan, baptista had purple and elmander was blue, as I needed to win is decided not to go with a defensive line up and just try to ride it out with my purple bunch, big mistake.

Anyone else struggling with the 5 minute matches in the competitions i've got a great record in the 10 minute matches, but i'm awful in the 5 minute ones .
Why couldn't they just have it as 3 five minute matches instead for qualifying:realmad:.

yeah..struggling quite a bit because of that my 10min matches record's not great but definitely better than the stupid 5 min games which probably contributed 80% of the draws that i have in my record

just bought gerrard last night and he is absolutely crazy lol scored like 4 goals in his first 2 games.. thing that bugs me quite a bit is vdv and podolski's form, which is blue to purple for 70% of games and then red sometimes..hell just be green and i'm happy..

seriously i cant understand how people can have more than 200 games played. played a guy lately, he had fucking 500 games played, please god.this is sick. i got now maybe 102 games or something and that is in my opinion alot too. but 200,300,500? played since germany release.. seriously, i dont want to imagine how these guys look, do they even have a life? :crymore: sad sad world..kinda.

Im absolutely loving masterleague online! I think its the best game mode out for a football game.
Ive noticed that in the last 2-3 days i have had trouble finding opponents, are people just not playing anymore because theyve already reached a promotion spot and dont want to risk it?
Anyways, only played about 50 games and win about 45% of them, never got to the next round of the cup though. closest i came was 19th, because i missed a penalty in my last game. As painful as it was, its amazing how sadistically pleasing it is at times.

I was so fed up with ivarov in goal that i got handanovic who is level 73? wtf? I have to say some of the ratings are just off (he should be at least 79), but anyways, hes made a huge difference. dont think my tv has been at risk with him in there for a while.
Pinardi - passing skill which just helps, his stats are pretty much all in the late 70s.
Sychev - nice and quick, scores a bunch
Guerrero - hate him in real life but is getting the job done
Mattheus (goes to 74 smf from 69 ss) - has been a bit dissapointing, thinking of selling him and geting podolski and playing with 3 up front.
De Guzman - Has scored a bunch of free kciks for me and takes great corners.
Wesley - love this guy
Badstuber & Vorsah - im constantly amazed at how often i play teams with the default defenders. Vorsah was the first guy i bought and dont regret my decision.
Anybody got a few tips for some SB? left and right? Not really willing to spend more than 1.8-2.0...

I haven't signed them but I've had them on my shortlist for a long while:
Culina and Wilkshere. They're both Australian players who can play just about anywhere on the pitch, have mid 70 stats for everything, including shooting. One of them even has form 7 so thats a big plus. They're both in the 1.5-2 million price region.

Yeah every time I see someone with 400+ games I have a gut feeling they used the own goal glitch before the patch came out. I wasn't aware of this glitch but I read it somewhere online (might actually have been this website!) that basically by scoring 3 own goals the match would end straight away and they would get their money. So if those players did that non stop for a week or so, especially in tournaments, they would have easily gotten 300 games in a week before this exploit was patched.
On the other hand, if a guy has gotten his 500 games legit then fair enough, I don't really complain (I have 193 games legit). But it does piss me off when I come across people with 500 games played, 50+ win percentage, 40 million worth of players and they are still in division 4 and have a bad manager rating. It means if I lose or draw against these chumps my manager rating takes a bit hit, so frustrating.

Isn't Lampard a better alternative for Gerrard, value for money wise? I mean their stats are pretty similar and Lampard has a great form stat (7 or 8 if I remember correctly) plus the fact he's a lot cheaper.

Yet I'm pretty sure an 80+ rated player with an arrow down/diagonal down is still much better than any 60-70 rated player. I agree subs can make a difference, but they have to be (almost) as good as the player they're replacing.
Otherwise you might as well spend that money on signing 1 even better player, focusing on those with a high form stat.

yeah i think blue arrows are -5 for all stats purple -10, and same goes for orange and red but positive.

yeah their stats are pretty similar, but what gerrard gives is more pace, and way more power and the ability to play dmf, and being a liverpol fan, always gonna be gerrard over lampard, i know lampard's form stats is better but when gerrard's on form he wins games by himself for me
I am loving it just started out sold some default players and bought erding pastore and vorsah. Struggling to get in to competitions tough. Where can i see my manager rating. I am now searching for a good midfielder someone like Xavi to distribute the balls from the midfield i'm thinking of moutinho any other suggestions??
