The more this game sucks? Am I right?

I mean im trying my hardest to like it, honestly. I'm trying so hard to say" This is wayyyyy better then pes 2009!" , and it does have its perks...

-Graphics
-Master League

etc etc etc.

But I honestly believe the bad outweigh the good , by ... a lot. I wish I didnt have to say this but come on, lets be honest..

There is all these things in the game that throw the whole flow of the game...
like horrible Ref AI, horrible CPU AI ( defense, GOALKEEPERS) etc etc, which are pretty important to the game of..football.

I mean graphics and all this is nice... but cmon, gameplay far outweighs that kind of stuff. Anyone else agree? Or maybe im just in some weird trance .

Sadly no version has been anywhere near as good as PES 6 on ps2.Useless dribbling, bad keepers incredibly fast defenders on the harder settings which doesn`t make sense.I like it more than last years, but PES really needs to improve. The way com teams pass the ball around like brazil on harder settings is just silly yet they have few attempts on goal, the AI needs some serious work.

I doo agree that even the team being number 20 in the league does some seriusly fast combinations in my ML as well - but as you mention yourself they still have few attempts on goal.. However i think that people tend to overrate pes6 a bit - Tried it a few weeks ago. Many bugs there as well.. Too easy dribbling. (i like it more in 2010. Only the reaction time from pressing the button to executing the move is awfull)
The distance from defence to midfield and midfield to attack was waaay to far in pes6 - you could easily pass it around in the midfield for several minutes without being bothered by the opponent. However the through balls at least worked in pes6 :(

The through balls in PES2010 are great mate, one of the best features, yes they dont always come off but they also dont come off all the time in a real game of football....PES6 was my favourite of the series, it was just a great game of football from start to finish, players had time on the ball, you could dominate a game and lose and also get dominated and win, the keepers were top notch and the game was very well balanced, the speed of the game was perfect and the injury time actually had a effect on the game as it gave you time to do something, something the newer series are lacking.
I am still reserving my judgement on PES2010 as I havent played it enough but its definatly an improvement on PES2009 which can only be a good thing. :)

i actually think the dribbling on 2009 is much better than any other pro evo it wasnt great but it was certainly more realistic than this slow piece of shit honestly its just forcing me to pass all the time and if i get tackled from behind ....nothing the refs too blind to see it but the game is kind of better than last years gameplay wise anyway

actually i re-state my comment this game is shit!!

People on this site are saying a lot about timing of passes, dribble ect., but how can I do all this things if the game is not allowing me to do them? I've spent long hours on training but when it comes to simple game, what can I do with the ball if 5 or 7 AI opponents are chasing me... thanks God I didn't sell PS2 and PES6...

Well i admit it was a great game, but as i said i tried it a few weeks ago, and it certainly had it's bugs as well.
When that's said, yes the injury time was actually different (as you said it gave the time to actually do something) And the keepers didn't make mistakes all the time like in 2010.
True, mate..
EDIT: by "through balls" i mean triangle button. Think they kick the ball over the backline 8 of 10 times in pes 2010 :(

its called football mate

Football.. Soccer.. Football.. Soccer.. Football.. Soccer.. All around the world :)

Yeah mate, I mean Triangle also, the Triangle on its on gives a through ball and Triangle L1 for a through ball over the top, it works everytime but if you have no strikers or wingers up there then you wont reap the rewards of it..... so the move actually works everytime its just your lack of forwards in the area you are feeding the through ball into that is the problem mate.

dont get me wrong, the game is bad ass.... but there is too many things Konami let slip by that makes us, the consumers, look like robots for buying their games.

Hopefully they will address these very crucial problems.

I personally dont have probelm with through ball passes, I do some very nice ones and other times horrible ones but Im sure thats based on the fact that it was a bad opportunity.

I do however have a probelm with the refs, goalkeepers , defense, etc etc etc. dont you hate when you are "1 on 1" but its really 1 on 4? because the defense just groups all of a sudden and your like.. RIGHT.... which way do i...... OH SHIT THEY STOLE IT.....

tbh no i dont agree

more and more i look at it, the more and more i love pes2010. def the best so far. pes6 is overated. i found pes2008 to be better and well i find this to be better the both

gameplay is more realistic. yeh the referees aint great and well it seems a lot easier on the harder difficulties and a few minor flaws but appart from that i still enjoy the game and it is a winner for me. one of the best buys so far.

As I said mate, I havent played it enough to give my verdict but I am enjoying it alot better than PES2009, there are some small details that I dont like but overall I am happy so far.

The OP nailed it. I was almost orgiastic when I played the demo, but now that I have the game and having played two seasons in ML, I'm liking it lesser it each time I play, as the faults (referees, lack of CPU pressing, goalkeepers...) become glaring and make the game almost unplayable. Almost.

It's gonna be great next year when FIFA next-gen will be (hopefully) released for PC and PES will try extra-hard (hopefully again) to keep a hold on its PC fanbase.
