i cant ever see a game that hits both platforms been much different. all theyve said is graphics look better on ps3 just a bit smoother,go look on gamespot or something and comparison vids of xbox to ps on games that are out like VT3,it shows you the game been played side by side on each console,so far theyve all been slightly better on xbox but if you actually watch it is just sooooo minimal and so will PES.and jesus why would the ps3 be held back its not hard to make an xbox game over 2discs,look at FF7 that was 4 discs. quit whinging please and stop this damn discussion again.

A better example would be...

"Look at FIFA. 30 leagues, thousands of players etc etc. All fits on a single DVD disc"

People seem to be buying the blu-ray bollocks a bit too much tbh.

guys i own a ps3 and xbox360, but i prefer ps3...everybody knows that playstation is THE console!

only the controllers says enough! PES will be better on the playstation cause pes has been started on the playstation , konami has created a soccer game for the playstationconsole, what later is been copied for the xbox console...so they can sell more! that's it!

and i think that pes 2008 will be a good game, inclusive the dive blalbalabl...it's all up to you guys how you gonna act in the game..use it when it's really necessary..act like a pro..
i can't wait to give some defenders a nutmeg with Ronie9!

btw just looking up a little on how big ronaldo is doing, liking his new hairstyle, better than when he had that dodgy triangle, and he must be the only person to ever get big from pasta, apparently thats whst he eats all the time:)

you make some valid points,i agree PS pads have a better feel to them, tho i am use to the xbox ones now its just the triggers dont suit PES but are great for shooters. It is a PS game but the differences between the versions will be minimal for every year until we get 2 new consoles.

Well said!!

Its a football game played on a pitch, not a FPS with loads of levels Gears of War Quality. I couldnt understand the fanboys believing and getting all excited that the PS3 version was going to be 19gb. If it was going to be 19gb, i would of expected it to be just full of HD Video content to watch.

The larger a game, data wise does not necessarily make it a better game. It helps but it isnt always the case. Look at Heavenly Sword. The developer was bragging about the game having 10gb worth of audio data alone and thus far the reviews have been fairly average.

i just think all this console talks bullshit, people trying to justify they made the right choice in what they bought coz of the hefty prices means they always end up taking stabs at the competiton console when fact is xbox and ps2 were pretty much the same and 360 snd ps3 are pretty much the same, snes and megadrive were even pretty much the same,id like to get back onto PES and not systems now..................

C ronaldo looks like hes from the 70s with his shady mullet.

I too agree its stupid to get into fanboy arguments.

But I dont agree with your comment on buying into the blu-ray bollocks.
It will be the main medium sooner than people think.
As for games, some developers are already amasing alot of space. Take a look at Killzone 2 for example, 2gb for 1 level.

completely agree with you i have researched alot into blu-ray i even did it as a mojor project in uni.

it will become the major media source and credit to toshibia and mitsabishi (spelling lol) for recognising it.

I just hope you could shut off the diving feature (probably not). Its just a matter of time for those online cheaters to master how to dive and get penalty after penalty and cheese out the game! :-(

just dont challenge them simple as,or dont let them in your area!take them out before hand,it will be like in real football, when it comes to play in the area all the defenders are nervous of breathing on a forward because of the cheats and poor refs.

ahm its real football. it happens DEAL WITH IT

and i wouldnt mind my opponent divin cause if he gets it wrong.....YELLOW CARD. i doubt many will risk diving. and u cant master diving, it will be impossible.

Exactly.

I mean theres not going to be many different players in your box, 2 or 3 strikers and a couple of wingers.
And as ive read its more yellow cards than penaltys so my opponent can try and dive all he wants.
He will be finishing the game with less than 11 players.

shame its completley opposite to that in real life, its more penaltys than yellow cards.i cant remember the last time id seen a yellow for "simulation"

There seems to be this ignorance-fueled fallacy that because the PS3 has Blu-Ray which can theoretically hold a large amount of data, it will somehow improve PES. FIFA holds a lot more content then PES yet still fits on a 360 disc quite comfortably. Will people ever realise that the storage medium containing the game has no actual influence of the quality of the game itself? If PES is shit, it's because Konami made it shit. It is not because they had to 'hold it back' in order to fit it on a DVD9. Please use a bit of common sense.

I can also assure everyone that all versions will play identically upon release. There is not a significany enough difference in hardware for either console to be considered 'better'. What may sway your opinion is merely down to your preference of control. If you like the d-pad, you'll prefer the PS3 version. If you have actually moved on from 8-bit technology and prefer the analogue stick, you'll prefer the 360 version. It really will be that simple.

End of.

Is it actually confirmed that there will be a stadium editor ? Any news regarding it at all ? It really got me wondering.

And what was that master league talk about...4 or 5 divisions with a crappy ass sponsor etc...... Was it just bull ?

there will be a time that the games needs space like blu ray...i've heard that Sony is talking with Microsoft to step over to Blu-Ray...

what do you think if we gonna see PES 2010 for example..you think it will fit on a DVD9???

and the pes2008 version is not full 1080p but 720p... this is not real next gen!

Ok . . i've got a quick question . . . i'm pretty sure everyone's aware of this facial/badge import thingy available now on pes 2008?

Well what i'm curious about is on pes 6 i had a bsit of trouble editing sometimes because of not enough logo spaces available . . .from what i've heard konami have ammended this now.

However, what i want to know is if your able to import badges onto the game via harddrive/camera/whatever . . .then are you able to with logos/brands aswell?

for example . . .your able to import the lfc badge onto the game now . . . are you able to get carlsberg and addidas on there aswell?
