I only have a few grudges against the game, well not the game, the people who play it online more than anything. Especially MLO.

People with the usual suspects of Martins, Walcott etc are always going to exist and it's been there for years but the way konami didn't listen to the fans about speed freaks and this year seemed to whip out their cock and make us suck it by making up bullshit players like Mphela and Van Der Mirch, seriously, that's a piss-take, but the players who abuse this are the real annoyance.

The gameplay of lobbing through balls seems to aid these shitehawks as well doesn't help, you'd wonder why people waste their lives by playing this way, oh well I won't get too upset thinking about it because these players are usually shit, and if you're smart/good enough at the game you'll end up beating them, but it is really frustrating having to deal with this.

Also...Ibrahimovic....I mean I love this guy and looked up to him when I was younger as a big lad with a fabulous touch to kill and all. The guy is good in real life, but they take the piss here. Anyone who can afford him just plays the ball to him and every time I play against he scores at least a hat trick, the dude is a behemoth, scoring impossible knuckle shots with no space or moving his leg.

Mind you, these players are dickheads and like I said, usually shit, you can tell what type of a player these guys are by looking at their line ups in pre match so if you have your wits about you, you should beat them.

Real sad about BAL online not their though :/, Last PES I bought was 2011 and that game was so good I didn't feel the need to buy 2012 because that game still had a vibrant community then, and still does I'd bet.

This just in: FC St. Pauli are better than Barcelona!

Here comes another rant. The horseshit that is season 2 has continued.

Fuck you Konami you fucking shit eating cunts. I just spent 10 minutes practically unable to get a kick of the ball against the world class side that are... FC St. Pauli. Apparently my Champions League winning squad can't even manage a shot on goal against these shite fucks. It is just comical watching this team run around with the ball, passing it like Barca (no, better) and every single fucking player dribbling like Messi, in a way that is COMPLETELY UN-FUCKING-TOUCHABLE. Could barely get out of my own half in the first half. Comical watching Drogba get shrugged off the ball by a RB rated 69 overall every single fucking time.

I was just fucking irate watching the horseshit unfold. Perhaps part of it is compounded by the fact that every time you purchase a new player his teamwork stat drops by FUCKING TWENTY and so half the time they run around aimlessly with their finger up their ass doing shit all. Or perhaps it's that every time you play away ALL YOUR FUCKING PLAYERS CONDITION GOES PURPLE AND THEY PLAY LIKE SHIT. Yeah, totally realistic.

I looked up FC. St Pauli's stats. Rated D D D D C C. And yet play better than Barcelona.

Fuck this game and fuck Konami. It's completely imbalanced and isn't worth playing. The fact is that even before I started that match the CPU had decided it was going to ass fuck me and they were going to play way above their level and refuse to even let me get a touch of the ball. The fixture is practically already decided. The CPU demands the result is a loss and you have to play against this fuck-shit decision in a match that is not open ended.

PS sorry for latest rants. My first season on new ML was superb and my team played solid and it's turned into shit in second season, despite being stronger. Being bossed by horseshit teams for no apparent reason that I would have spanked like 4-0 first season. Played first season part on professional/part top-player, but still performed well (if not, best) on top player. Still on top player and not even had a major challenge and team playing like shite. Utterly perplexing.

No problem with the rants, just cool down the swearing a bit, ok.

Mphela is a real player. He's also been seriously nerfed speed wise in this years offering. Van der mirch is a joke though

I play on Professional level. So gutted right now. This would have been my 3rd consecutive Treble if it wasn't for the 1-0 lost to Paris Saint-Germain, just now. I wouldn't have be that gutted if it wasn't for the manner in which I lost the final; Stats are Man United(me) shots on goal 17 of which 11 were on target. Corner kicks 5. I had to make 1 save to the 8 of Paris Saint-Germain. Everything is going for me accept the scoreline. Paris Saint Germain had 3 shots on goal of which 2 were on target and guess what they bloody hell scored from that 2 shot on target. This is why I'm so gutted. If only the opposition teams can at least give you a run for your money by playing competitive football, but nothing at all.

WHAT THE FUCKKKKK.

FUCKING KOMPANY. LOSING 3-5 AGAINST REAL MADRID. Fucking Kompany is making Real Madrid score the most stupid goals I have ever seen. The entire line of defense at the same level as Benzema, and stupid Kompany, who is marking Benzema, decides to walk ahead of him, leaving him completely alone to score against Valdés.

Superstar is fucking bullshit.

4-5 now. What fucking bothers me is that I have scored three goals already, and assisted Messi in the other one, so the problem is not me playing like shit, it's the scumbag CPU that can't defend for shit!

4-6, I DON'T BELIEVE IT. One of the Real Madrid players shoots on goal and the ball deflects off Kompany! This motherfucker didn't even try to stop him from shooting! My sidebacks don't pressure the opposition AT ALL. It's like they just let them get ahead, so I have my midfielders chase them all the way into the goal.

Why would anyone play Superstar over Top Player is beyond my grasp.

5-6 now. Another goal of mine, four now. Playing BAL by the way. I'm a CF, but I swear I always end up playing as a sideback because I always have to track back and stop the opposition from scoring.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. 6-6 NOW. Five goals from me. I swear, I have to do everything by myself. Copa del Rey final, Barcelona against Madrid, and I have to do everything.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. 7-6 BARCELONAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! WON ON THE LAST MINUTE!!!!!!!

FC Barcelona Real Madrid
6' Higuaín (C. Ronaldo)
11' Lucas Delfino
12' Lucas Delfino (Messi)
14' Messi (Lucas Delfino)
21' Benzema (Nuri Sahin)
37' Benzema (Di María)
45'+ C. Ronaldo (Benzema)
45'+ Benzema (Higuaín)
48' Lucas Delfino (Messi)
49' Nuri Sahin (Sergio Ramos)
59' Lucas Delfino (Cesc Fabregas)
84' Lucas Delfino (Messi)
90'+ Lucas Delfino (Messi)

I think I will take pictures and record every goal on camera. :D

EDIT: Sadly, not every goal appeared in the highlights. The following are missing:

11' Lucas Delfino
14' Messi (Lucas Delfino)
21' Benzema (Nuri Sahin)
37' Benzema (Di María)
45'+ Benzema (Higuaín)
48' Lucas Delfino (Messi)
49' Nuri Sahin (Sergio Ramos)

Just lost against second from bottom Wigan Atletic. Only this time the stats are more realistic. What frustrates the living hell out of me is that I beat the big teams like Arsenal,Chelsea,Liverpool and Manchester City. Mind you home and away; just don't make sense to beat them with 5-0,6-1 etc scorelines just to loose against teams like Watford,Wigan and Southampton. This might happen once in a blue moon in real life, but not every damn season as in PES. I nowadays expect that loses wondering which small/bottom rock team is it going to be this time. Sometimes I know from the first kick off, because the game play for that specific game will feel like you are trying to balance a broom on your finger tip. Its then I know I am going to either draw or lose this game. If there's just one request I can make to John Murphy, it would be to make the traditional big teams better. I am sick of beating the bigger clubs with unrealistic scores just to loose against the crab teams with stats that is all in my favor except for the score line.

I feel your pain. I was unbeaten with an all-win streak in La Liga with Barcelona, playing Top Player. Then we lost 1-0 against Real Madrid. After a couple of more wins, I decided to switch to Superstar, and later I lost 3-0 against Getafe. Yet we beat Manchester City 4-2 in the Champions League semi-finals.

Anyways, here are the pics I took.

And with this goal I won the match. Some of the other goals are in my channel.

I have both fifa and pes this year and hate this about each of them. I will dominate play and have a lopsided amount of shots compared to the CPU. Like 17-3, 19-2, 15-3, etc.

Most score lines are 2-1 me. I wish the CPU in both games would put up a fight. Fifa is just miserable and as you increase difficulty the game just makes 50/50 balls bounce to the CPU and makes every CPU tackle a winning tackle and your players suddenly become stupider as you increase skill level. Lazy programming but EA does that same crap with all of their games.

PES handles actual football logic a little better but the CPU attack is so anemic and bland. Maybe a through ball once and awhile, but more than that its just blindly pushing the ball forward focusing on the center of the pitch as the way to take. Once you figure out how easy it is to defend this single minded attack you dominate possession and limit the CPU to less than 3 shots on goal all game.

The CPU should pass it sideways and backwards more often when the "fast break" has been snuffed out so that they can both maintain possession and push more players up to support the attack. But they don't. They just rush it up even if they don't have numbers and I take the ball from them and start my attack. This happens over and over every game so far.

Both games suck at calling fouls so they just opt to not call many.

Both games don't have players accruing minor injuries during the game, the kind you see every time you watch football, the ones where the player is down and disabled for maybe a minute and then gets back to it. How hard could that be to program? Obviously very tough.

Looping your player back towards your own goal works like magic in both games because the CPU can't figure out why you would do that. So you can loop, pass forward, loop, pass forward, until you get it to someone who takes a crack on goal.

Both games insist on hoofing the ball directly up the center of the pitch on goal kicks, keeper punts, and deep in your own end free kicks (the ones that happen off of offside calls, not fouls)

Neither game understands how to kill time at the end of the game if they have the lead.

The more you play both games the more you realize just how far away we are from not reality, but from an actual decent playing footy game.

I'm playing BAL.

I despise with every inch of my soul the sidebacks in my team. They are worthless pieces of shit. Whenever they see a forward coming through their flank, their retreat only to let them get close to goal. However, when I'm the one attacking the opposition's flank, their sidebacks follow me everywhere.

My team seems to come from the land of mistimed tackles. I can't count how many times they miss the opposition by METERS. The opposition AI seems to dribble through my entire defence with no problem, yet I still have to see one of my forwards do the same. Which brings me to dribble skills: I have Alexis Sánchez as a teammate in BAL. He always tries to pull off a feint, even when it's not even necessary. Needless to say, he never gets any of them right!

Oh damn, there are a lot of things in PES 2013 I can get furious about! First of all, all the kiddies playing with Barcelona, Real Madrid and full assistance every fucking time in the online competitions. I really can imagine how these guys are jerking off because they think they're sooooo good when they score after a assisted through ball with Ronaldo or Messi.

- Also these guys who probably spend hours to figure out how to intercept a ball from the goalkeeper just the right time when you can't do anything about it because once u pressed the button you can't change the direction anymore.
Even worse are the people who are already leading 5:0 or 6:0 and still are trying to catch every ball.

- That people can attack and run at the ball through a whole match without there players getting tired! You only see their players running around like chickens the whole time trying to get the ball. No serious football possible; Konami needs a proper fatigue model to stop that shit!

- The fucking Quitters.

- That every second team in MLO has the same players.

- But most of all: that most people are not interested in playing nice football virtually but using every glitch and every advantage the game offers to score and win.

Just to name a few things...

*Edit: There's another really annoying thing: that pass assistance also seem to affect the dribbling. I was playing full manual and wondering why are all these Fu**** so good in holding the ball till I switched to pass assistance by myself, just to see how the gameplay feels and realized that turning on pass assistance also keeps the ball much better to the feet than without assistance; suddenly it is much easier to run through defensive lines without loosing the ball. WTF?

Basically the computer only wins due to bullshit.

Even with cheating scripts turned off the cpu:-

is nearly impossible to dribble past.

Intercepts every pass

Every 50/50 goes to them

It's never an exciting game - like the cpu tricks me by doing a fake shot and dribbles past. Nope - they just have this weird physics thing where they can keep the ball no matter what pressure you're applying. Yet when you have the ball the cpu defenders are like kryptonite. as soon as they're anywhere near you, you lose the ball which means trying to use timing and skill to go past doesn't work.

You do a chip through ball that never goes where you've told it - and most annoyingly even if you give it full power it just goes 2 metres and the cpu intercepts.

The game plays completely differently to when you play with no cpu players...

This game shouldn't even be on the shelves. The keepers are downright broken.

1. They miss shot after shot that's straight at them because they don't react in time even if it's a long range shot.

2. Top goalkeepers fumble aerial balls really often despite being unchallenged for the ball.

3. Some of the attempts at saves are absolutely laughable and are just the goalkeeper falling on his arse with his hands up in the air.

4. You bring them out to intercept a through ball and they try and slide tackle the ball despite the fact there's nobody near them and they could have just booted it clear.

5. You watch a replay of a goal. Goalkeepers got two hands behind it, this won't go in. Oh wait yes it will it's somehow gone through the goalkeepers hand as though it's not there. Not acceptable at all to be having errors like that on this generation of consoles.

6. I had 4 games with AC Milan where Abbiati literally didn't save a single shot. The only ones that didn't go in were because they were off target. Every on target shot went in due mainly to awful goalkeeping. 3 goals in these matches, the goalscoring chance was created by an Abbiati error.

The keepers aren't just bad, they're game breaking bad. What's the point in trying to win a game when you know the keeper will just bollocks it up for you given the chance.

I could sum up the reply's on these last 2 pages and come up with the conclusion from my game too, that is : '' The awkward moment when you win 4-1 against PSG away, and then lose 2-0 to Brent at home. ''

I only began playing the game about a week ago, partially because PES 2012 was such a disappointment. PES 2013 had some kind of honeymoon period to it—I really liked how I can bump into an opposing player and not called for a foul, for example, or how I can actually kick the ball with more kicking power than that of a chicken's.

After a while these wear off. I realised that those seemed good primarily because our standards had become so low throughout the years. How could I think of plain common sense requirements like those as selling points?

The issues are still there, although for me they are still better handled than the punishment that is PES 2012: bad positioning, imprecise controls, passing on rails, players slowing down (throw ins, etc.) without being told to, and so forth.

The single main problem is to me the overall feeling that what you do doesn't matter as much as it should. You're not really controlling the player, more like herding them to a general direction. And the momentum thing always gets out of hand. (Some well-meaning folks suggested that momentums are just in our imagination; noble intention, but demonstrates a limited understanding in computer programming.)

I ragequit a lot. Not in multiplayer of course, but against the CPU. The thing is, I ragequit even when I'm winning. Just now I led 4-0, and quit immediately after a momentum shift that saw the opponents scoring. It just dawns on you that, with the ease that the CPU can score, that all your goals before that point were not really your fruits of labour. They gifted those goals to you. As I said: what you do doesn't really matter.

That to me spoils everything else. Losing is bad because you feel at a disadvantage, but winning can be worse because you feel that the game is mocking you.

- - - - - - - - - - -

In general however the games just look terribly unpolished. Every year it looks the same, they don't even have the decency to engineer a new menu scheme. The lack of options that should be easily added are ridiculous—searching for player names in BAL, just to see why Ronaldo is not in RM anymore, for instance. Do you realise that you can sort by "market value" when viewing your squad list in BAL? Well, you can, but you can't see the actual market value. The developers just didn't care.

The greatest example of the halfassedness is no doubt from PES 2009. Remember how a set-piece taker will freeze for a good five seconds after shooting/passing, therefore ignoring every loose ball, etc.? For my money, there is just no way that kind of thing can pass any barebone testing phase by any half-qualified tester. But it's in the game. That's telling, I think, to the amount of work put into the product.

And so, PES, I fart in your general direction.
