I never know if my keepers gonna come off his line and claim the ball or not, I used to use the triangle to bring them out on the old ones but it seems different now.
Earlier the ball just stopped between my CB and keeper, keepers just standing there doing nothing with the ball in front of him so the opposition striker nips in and scores!
I know there's an option to take manual control of the keeper but it seems a bit finicky

Oh yes.

And in the keeper's box many times I will continue to hold triangle and the keeper will head it????????????????????????

What? The CPU has lobbed it forward and I race him out to easily collect it and he heads it forward and the CPU picks it off?

The first time I saw this happen my keeper headed it right to the feet of the CPU attacker how immediately shot. Has to be the cheapest goal I have given the CPU.

So now to be careful I hold triangle only until I get close to the ball then I let it go. The GK will now catch the ball properly.

What is your half length? I read somewhere that it could be an issue if you play 10/15min halves, though it still shouldn't be.

I play with 15 minute halves with P.E.S. 2014 ( PS3 ) and have the same problem. It spoils the enjoyment of the game for me because it's so unrealistic. So apart from a game fix patch from Konami which isn't likely to happen considering their poor after sales service - what can be done about this fiasco ? :realmad:

Anyone got any suggestions ?

I'm sure this has been a problem in every football game since the dawn of time? It's not something that can be easily altered without drastically changing the gameplay. Football games are tailored towards scoring goals. In a real life match, there's a lot more play in the middle of the park, where not much happens. Hard to simulate this in a computer game I'd imagine. Plus it'd be a bit boring!

Put it this way, nobody plays a war game to sit on a perch for 24hrs straight waiting for a target to kill. ;)

I used to play 20 minute matches/halves in FIFA, or whatever has been the longest match setting in that series. Along with even playing full 90 minute games when they used to give that option back in the day.

Maybe it was there on the 90 minute years, it's been that long, but I certainly do not remember it on any of the recent FIFAs. Or coming across the problem until I got through the first round of the Copa Libertadores and saw pretty much all but two first leg game finish with at least 12 goals, and a few with results like 11-7.

PES pissed me off so much last night. I was winning most games, even won my final game of the night 6-0 (all ML matches) but it still pissed me off to no end. The icing on the cake was a penalty the CPU team scored. No doubt it was a pen, I got pissed off after one of my player passed the ball in the opposite direction to where I aimed, the CPU went through on goal so I took him out.
So he steps up to take the pen (RVP I think it was) and it's a tame effort low to the keeper's right... I save it. But then the ball spins upwards, bounces on the keeper's back and goes into the back of the net, whilst the keeper is rolling about on the floor!!! Bullshit goal.
Also, I wish the CPU team would fucking cross the ball for once, instead of just pratting about on the wing then playing a low pass in for the striker at the near post, for him to put it in the far post. Just the same team every time. I don't remember the CPU being this one dimensional in the demo.

75% the goals I suffer are like that. And they are impossible to stop.

Another thing that happens waayyy too much is a player on the penalty area corner, curling a shot all the way to the far post. A stupid shot that would be GOTY, happens 10 times a season. And the keeper just can't catch it.

Also, you saved a penalty?! Every time I try, even if it is a low shot and I dive to the ground, the keeper does nothing. They just dive, don't move their arms or try to reach the ball. The only chances for me to save a penalty (I've never managed to do so) is if the ball hits my GK. Of course, if it goes nearer the post, it is impossible to save. Am I missing anything here?

I've saved a few penalties. I don't think there's anything you're missing... it's just luck really.

Anyway, the best thing to do when the game is pissing you off - take a break for a few days. That's what I'm doing.

What pisses me off about PES the ease of bloody through balls.
I've played PES from the start, before online gaming and passing with my mates we all developed an expansive and pretty brand of football but then I ask myself what's the fucking point if I can get my ass handed to me by some prick the has mastered the art of bashing triangle at every sodding opportunity?
This shit keeps me from playing online.
Triangle is the win button. Pisses me off

I really, really wanted to love this game.. But I just can't.. The PES magic is gone, sadly.. It still had a resemblance of it, even if it was destroyed by bad scripting and poor ML mechanics, in PES 2013, but the last two versions feels soulless and is ruined by cpu-cheating. I'm sad to say that for me, PES is dead.

It was a good run old friend, I will not forget the magic you once brought. R.I.P.

I play football games, both PES and FIFA: that's the choice I make. I believe your likening or packaging of choice and loyalty, or that there is always loyalty in choice, is false. If there was another game out there, I'd give it a go, just like anybody else who visits pesgaming.com would. If that game was more entertaining (which is itself hard to define. For you and me, I imagine the entertainment we derive from playing PES is in applaud of it being a realistic, rewarding game based on it doing what you want it to do. For others, mostly the young you speak of, they just want smash-grab football, cheeseballs blindly hoofed or lobbed down wings), I'd play that game. If the other game sucked, I wouldn't play it. I wouldn't, however, develop some kind of loyalty to the game just because it provided me with some good times.

But isn't capitalism, in essence, about expansion; infinite expansion, really. If you aren't expanding, growing, then you aren't deemed healthy. I agree that maintaining some sort of base is of some importance, but expanding it within a capitalist framework is essential, even if you end up with the proverbial blood on the bottom of your shoes, which in this case may be "loyal" fans. This model or practice is outdated, and some form of sustainable capitalism would be more effective. And another thing: what is more profitable, or a more better return on an investment, the focus on a young, emerging demographic, or an aging one?

As for credibility, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. How many successful companies have tarnished credibilities and are still successful? Do you own Nike's or adidas' or anything made in other EPZ (Export Processing Zones. Naomi Klein's No Logo) is a fantastic book that delves into these horrible little cities/countries within countries) laden countries? How many corporations are successful financially due to the exploitation (which capitalism undoubtedly is built upon) of another? Is it merely the credibility, the "faith" of the consumer that drives it, or is it something more? How much do we put aside to keep buying the things we buy? I'm not attempting to go on an re-hashed anti-capitalist rant, but you talk of credibility as if that really affects big business (at least nowadays. I would assert that credibility mattered much more years ago in big business) from engaging in crummy business practices. From a small business perspective, I'd say that establishing your credibility matters. yet from the perspective of many large businesses, so much is swept underneath the carpet by the consumer in favor of consuming, which you and I most definitely are committing ourselves to by playing video games.

Plus, what do you think Konami benefit from making an inferior game? Case in point, there's still been hangers-on to the franchise, despite the waning of their credibility for years (an example of this can be seen from the numerous posts on this website/forum; and year after year, there's still more people buying the game and bitching about it. This appears to be a trend in video games and its consumers, which amazes me; and so much so that I've begun to investigate it and plan to write about it. There appears to be this addiction, or at least the chasing of an uncanny sensation once experienced. I've felt this too, when playing PES 5 and 6 many moons ago. Anyhow, for me, PES or Konami has no reputation to corrode. I've let things go. These comments within the parathenticals should've been a footnote. Sorry).

I applaud your idealism. Hell, I'm idealistic too, and that's why I don't seek loyalty in large business. I vote with my purchasing power; and in purchasing video games, unlike with more important purchases I make as a consumer, has noting to do with loyalty. Expecting and returning loyalty seems only now viable from local businesses, which Konami, EA and any damn video game (or producer of mass entertainment, for that matter) certainly aren't a part of. At any rate, my idealism or loyalty, no offense, is focused on other global matters than entertainment. I would however, like to study this love/hate relationship with PES and other video games, as well as play some more PES 2015 games, which at the moment, I am enjoying very much.

I just created a username to say wow. If I knew how to write I would say what you said haha. I don't really play PES or own it (I have played demo and much older versions) but have mainly played "the other" for over a decade...

I enjoyed your perspective because its articulated in unique or clever manner I could not write myself. There are definite similarities on a conceptual level though. As I get older I am always drawn back to the idea of Marx and commodity fetishism as it relates to these games. In particular the Fifa franchises successful mode titled Ultimate Team.

Cut to the point...I don't know if I can but I somehow feel like we could have a decent conversation...

Say I am a painter or artists of sorts and I am completely fascinated by the same notion...I ask myself why would you want to make the best product when your banking on releasing another one in a year? Maybe I am just shocked at the censorship of words in EA forums to protect these interests...

You have to love it so you want it so bad that you’re pushing yourself to those limits to where you just simply hate it. And if you’re not there to where you hate it, then good luck trying to love this shit.” - Nick Diaz

FUCK YOU PES 2015 !! am addicted and i am either playing or reading threads online ...

what i really hate about this year PES is that i can't shift players (cursor change) and i dont know why and till when !!! i play online and i cant shift between players to control the one near opponent .. i put my settings to assisted and still far from being able to control them .. they are running anywhere they want around the field

Welcome back...
The only thing that spoils this game other than licensing issues is the greed displayed by PES.

If they brought out a better system whereby you can only get black ball players if you are in the top division and you have to have played so many games and won to unlock the better players instead of just buying them or using stupid glitches then this game would have been special.

I`m starting to hate this game - this is from my last champions league season on top player

http://youtu.be/i55XVBNhpjQ

The worst is last year they had it better and you could defend the ball and players wouldn`t constantly fall over their own feet
