The Ultimate Classic Player Thread

The only stats I think should be revised would be his defence and his agility.

This all depends on whether you created him to make as much impact in the modern game, as he did back in the 50's/60's? Do you think he would be rated the same if he was playing now? That's my argument.

Also did he play all those positions? I've read he plied his trade at centre-half and centre-forward, but I didn't know he was a wing forward as well.

Either way, he was a great player and it's a shame there's not much footage of him in action.

The few clips I've seen of John Charles he dribbles at what looks like walking pace. His shots don't seem to have a lot of power if you compare him to Jackie Milburn, a player from his own era. I got the impression he was really just a centre back who was powerful enough to play up front.
Having seen Johnny Giles play in the flesh I feel could be compare to Platini. Having said that he was a real hard case who knew he was good. In todays game he wouldn't be given the time and space. Hope this helps.

He could move at decent pace, but yes he wasn't overly fast.

Trust me though - his shots did have power.

Don't know if you've already done these but I want to make Classic Barcelona.

I need Andoni Zubizarreta, Albert Ferrer, Miguel Ángel Nadal and Ladislao Kubala. If you have a link or already done something on this that would be great.

Do you have anything for a Classic Spain?

Just finish my classic team called: Bad boys and Hard Men

They are as follows

Schumcher
Goicoechea
Tommy Smith
Di Canio
Bremner
McGrath
Souness
Gascoigne
Mihajlovic
Effenberg
Ron Harris
Ruddock
Butcher
Edmundo
Vinnie Jones
Merson
Leonardo
Higutia
Roy Keane
Gentile
Best
Cantona
Duncan Ferguson
Maradona
Adams
Pearce

If you can add any more please advise.

To qualify for the team they either have to be hard men eg Ron Harris (to be fair I dont know many outside the English leagues). Bad boys on the park eg Leonardo bad elbow/cantonas sliding tackle and kung fu kick. Bad boys off the park Adam, McGarth, Best etc heavy drinking/Ferguson attacking people.

I am not sure to add Zidane for hislovely head butt during the world cup, because when I look back at Zidane's career it not that what I remember, but when I look back at Maradona's I remember all his good point and his bad.

What about Norman 'Bites Yer Legs' Hunter, Daniel Passerella and Peter Storey?

Hi everybody ! You can go on our french forum about classic on PES6.

Here a lot of classic team compositions : http://pes-creator.forum2jeux.com/viewtopic.forum?t=5&start=0

Hey Electus, long time no see! Some good listings there that will be of help, thanks.

Option File Latest

Just an update on the file, there will be two versions. The main one will replace ALL club teams (hopefully!) and the other will be out very soon. The preliminary file will replace the 'Other Teams B' with 5 national teams and 'Other Teams C' will be replaced with 18 club teams.

Work is well under way but here is the draft of the teams included:

Clubs

1 Arsenal
2 Villa
3 Chelsea
4 Everton

5 Leeds
6 Liverpool
7 Man U
8 Tottenham

9 Celtic
10 AC Milan
11 Juve
12 Inter

13 Marseille
14 Ajax
15 Barca
16 Real

17 Bayern Munich
18 Benfica

Nationals:

19 Spain
20 Hungary
21 Ireland
22 Sweden
23 Scotland

Any feedback on these decisions will be appreciated. There are a few omissions which still might make the first file as I'm pretty disappointed not to include such club teams as West Ham, Newcastle, Rangers, Anderlecht, PSV, Roma, Borussia Dortmund, Monchengladbach, River Plate, Porto and nationals such as Belgium, Portugal, Wales etc.

Many of the teams have been determined purely on how easy & quickly they will take to make so I hope that may answer a few who might be :shocking:.

Cant wait to that Classic Benfica! I dream of playing Classic Benfica vs Classic Manchester. If you have any questions about Benfica, I would be very pleased to help you.

Keep up the GOOD work, Krook
