The only stats I think should be revised would be his defence and his agility.
This all depends on whether you created him to make as much impact in the modern game, as he did back in the 50's/60's? Do you think he would be rated the same if he was playing now? That's my argument.
Also did he play all those positions? I've read he plied his trade at centre-half and centre-forward, but I didn't know he was a wing forward as well.
Either way, he was a great player and it's a shame there's not much footage of him in action.
The few clips I've seen of John Charles he dribbles at what looks like walking pace. His shots don't seem to have a lot of power if you compare him to Jackie Milburn, a player from his own era. I got the impression he was really just a centre back who was powerful enough to play up front.
Having seen Johnny Giles play in the flesh I feel could be compare to Platini. Having said that he was a real hard case who knew he was good. In todays game he wouldn't be given the time and space. Hope this helps.
