The worst type of player...

So I was playing master league online competition and I drew 0-0 in the first game and won the second 2-0.

If I won the next game I would qualify. I started playing with 32 minutes of the competition left so I was short on time. I was winning 3-1 and it was the 90th minute but then the minute countdown to the end of the qualifying round started. My opponent fouls me purposely and pauses the game and let's the timer get down to 0.

It really pissed me off as I would of qualified for the competion had he not paused the game.
I think Konami should disable pausing after the 85th minute so this type of thing doesn't happen. Thoughts?

That's some sour grapes, pausing the game and running the timer down. I thought though that they addressed this so you only had 90 seconds total during a match to be able to pause a game?

I'm sure you can't pause a game for longer than 90 seconds in play and no more than 5 minutes when the game has ended.

He hadn't paused up until that point so when the 60 second countdown started he had 90 seconds pause time available so the qualifying round ended and the match was abandoned

Stupid ass griefers. Something simillar happened to my brother - I had to laugh though, because he is so easily frustrated by online gamers. He hardly ever plays online, and only really does to get a few trophies. It took him ages to find a competition for his rank at a suitable time for him, he only needed 'online comp 1st win' for his platinum. He went Argentina V R.Madrid, was 1-0 up but he made it 2-0 in the 90th minute - then the guy quit. Seconds away from his plat - he was fuming. Luckily for him, he still had 20 minutes or so left in the quals and managed to beat a Barcalona guy.

It's classic... There are several decent multiplayer or MMO games on the market that has potential, but there is always one factor that makes the games suck in my opinion. People make these games suck, and even though I always thought people in general are just like "you and me", I seriously doubt it now.

I read somewhere that anonymous names on forums brings out the worst in people, well I disagree. Online games brings out the worst in people, and that's why this type of gaming will never be as good as you might think.

I agree I've run across some pretty vile people online. Then again I've played with some decent gents as well really the luck of the draw but yeah the odds are stacked against you for having a fair game.

I must say in some peoples defence, they dont always quit. I screwed up my edit data and profile data, and had to start again - lost everything I had bought from the pes shop and all my pes points. So I went online to get 50 points per match, I didn't care about the outcome, just wanted to finish some games, I played MLO(which is just shite btw) I had a team of crap originals vs a team of Messi, C.R, Rooney etc. I was getting smoked 7-0 then it just said connection lost. Next time I went online it said if I keep quitting I will be suspended from comps - I never even quit, I just wanted the 50 points. The guy must have been livid, calling me for all kinds.
