is it just me or has there been multiple reviews that have given FIFA a higher score - has anyone seen a review yet that makes PES the better all round game.
I have no issues if they have but to be honest , apart from the Guardian review, I have not seen one.

its easy to dismiss reviews because they gave it a bad score...
if they had given it a good score you would have been all over it. this is the sad fact - and these same sites have given good pro evo reviews previously (though not for some time).
it seems to be a common trend that people are giving the game 7/10 or 8/10 - and whilst yes there might be something in it for you that a reviewer hasnt quite picked up, the gist seems to be that this years pro evo is not what we were wanting nor expecting!
clearly a lot of folk will buy regardless, my pre order is still in...but it does sound suspiciously similar to a hacked and patched up 2009...and i havent touched 2009 since my 6ft 6 Bobchenko got signed for newcastle in the create a player mode thing!

no i read the collated reviews on pesfan.com didnt one average come to 83/100?
to me that tells me there were a lot of 8/10 and similar...

If I had the final copy I would have wrote a review here. You are not being normal right now because you're being way too picky and annoying. Accept the good reviews and bad ones and go on. Stop commenting on bad ones only
Oh and 8 is actually an A not try harder next time. 9 is A+ and 10 is Excellent.
Also pes 6 and 5 on some sites were bashed especially pes 6. So accept the bad reviews in every damn game.

shaun7, you need to distinguish between PES vets with an axe to grind over inferior sequels to fifa fans or pes haters.
by brushing over the cracks and pretending that PES10 is really the 'ROTK' will only reinforce konamis position and tendancy to throw out sub-par releases...this is not what i want. nor do i want to be railroaded into fifa. only by providing realistic appraisal and critique can we send Konami back to the drawing board...
btw OPM gave PES6 (PS2) 10/10... noone has given PES10 10/10.

^Emm there was review that was 9.5 for pes 10. There were other for pes 6 which gave fifa a higher score that year. Reviews are opinions and nothing too serious.
Also for the LAST TIME NOW. I never said that pes 10 will be without flaws. I'l comment about them for sure, but it's a good game nonetheless. The we demo is really enjoyable and I believe the final version of pes will also be. But it can never be without flaws and bitching about them now wont do any good.

Pes10 is a vastly supperior game to pes09 and any previous pes on the ps2 and its certainly more realistic then floatie planet no gravity fifa10.
Whats basically happened is pes10 is very subtle and deep and requires a deeper understanding and level of skill to get the best from it whear as fifa10 is more gratifying and pick up and play and this has been reflected in the review score because many journos havent clicked or come to fully understand the subtlety and depth of pes10.
This will change in the months to come though as its always hard to draw a comprehensive conclusion on a footie game in 2 weeks or a few days.
my friends brother said he is going to sue EA he said he was player FIFA 2010 for around 14 hours straight and his retina started to burn in his eyes!

I rented fifa for 7 days and when you 1st play it you think good things.
But I found the hollowness in fifa sets in fairly quickly.
I was going to take it back after the 1st night after realising the tackle system single handidly ruins the game but I had to give fifa a try and ended up keeping it to try and enjoy it and get my 7 days monies worth.
I downloaded the Pro online code for the 360 last night.. (read my comment in the "Amazing" post)
I love it.. Its different from the WE & PES demos
its a slow burner and you have to play a good 2 or 3 games with the will to want to enjoy it.. ive done 12 games online and im learning new things.. after each game
High through ball passes are spot on un like what some people have stated in their on the fly reviews..
you can control the angle and the distance of the pass to reach your player.. (its not like before where it chooses for you)
That takes a couple of games to fully appreciate and use to great effect..
If you play fifa and get accustomed to the way fifa plays then you may not like Pro 2010 straight away.
Newspaper reviewers will not be accurate and its certainly not fair to compare the 2 games after a quick review each..
Id like to see how long the average fifa player plays fifa each year.. some people i know stopped before christmas
Pro players usually keep it in the machine all year until the next game comes out.
I say, if you still managed to find enjoyment from Pro 2008 & Pro 2009 like i did even with the faults then i am almost certain you will love this.
If your one of those Pro evo 2 was the best in the world and cant move on.. then i really dont know if you will like 2010.

wish i could have gotten an online code. Thats what I've been hearing a lot of you need to sit down with the game and get used to it once your accustomed to its style than its great.

AI is harder (2nd major problem in pes 09)
AI positioning is better (though it can be better)
Shooting is better
Dribbling can't be used all the time (a major problem in pes 09 was that you can dribble with anyone)
Lots of individuality added.
Those alone make it more than a patched 09.
I know it has bad points like animations and less freedom in passing and sometimes weird positioning.
See, I can find bad points and good ones unlike you who just maybe played a bit of the demo and started moaning. I think it's better to wait for the final release. That's when a fair judgement is given.
