I can't believe how goddamn shite this game is after the brilliance of Pro Evo 4. My anger at playing people online is so high I have to stop to avoid a heart attack. The system is so unfairly swayed towards my opponent that I have no chance. Examples...

* In the last 10 games online I've won ONE header where two players go up for it. ONE!!!!!

* I had an open goal, 12 yards out, dead straight, no-one around me, 10mins in and Henry shoots wide!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* I've peppered the goal with over 20 shots in one half, only 1 on target. My opponent has 1 shot and scores!!!!! Before you say I'm shit, I'm not. I've even touched the shoot button lightly and the ball has ballooned over the bar 3 times!!!

* In those 10 matches I've gone in to tackles with my opponent and the ball pinballed and span away to one of his players EVERY FUCKING TIME, not ONCE did it spin to me. Not only that but it's span forward into the path of their strikers.

* I scored 3 own goals in those 10 matches, all of which had nothing to do with my input. 2 of them the ball was heading for the goal tamely and I go in pressing the button to clear it, instead the defender just runs it into the net! On the 3rd occasion (get a load of this) a free kick comes in, I jump with square to clear and the defender CHESTS it into the net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* My opponent has hacked me down, tripped me, pushed me off the ball and NOTHING. Not ONE card and only a couple of free kicks at best. I go in lightly to nick the ball off his toes and I average 10 fouls a game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* And by far the worst case of cheating I've ever seen..... I go to cross the ball into the box, tracking defender sticks out a leg on its way and deflects it for a corner but a goal kick is given!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is it with people? I was never amazing at PES4, but that's because I never played it as much as others on here. Switching to PES5 hasn't been a problem. Referees, for me, don't whistle too often. Everything seems fine and I've not found it difficult adjusting to the differing gameplay. I much prefer it as it is now to how it used to be.

The bits of the first post in this thread I have read seem to suggest that you're the problem, not the game. Practice and stop getting so worked up.

I think we've all had games like that where it seems nothing goes our way, but it's life.

I am sick and tired of people saying PES 5 is cack. I think when me, my mate and his bro first sat down to PES 5, we were like 'God, I don't like this' but tbh, we've been that way ever since we started playing ISS Evolution. Every sequel has that same period where we don't like it, but then it clicks.

The cmplaint about the shopoting is valid. Jesus, some of teh shots I've missed, and all i've done is press shoot lightly from about five hards out , is disgusting, and taht is with the likes of not only drogba, owen, rooney and the likes, but with Blues, Wigan, N Ireland....I think it is just luck sometimes.

Does it not tell you something about your own personal play if the other person manages to win ALL them headers? Use R2 to gain position before the header.

You are clearly shit. 20 shots and 1 on target is simply not good enough. Have you tried the R2 controlled shot? Not that I really use it... but still.

Try avoiding sliding tackles. Have better positioning so you can claim the ball without them.

Again, referee's are very fickle in the game... but remember, it is a simulation!

Yes sometimes this happens. There seems to be an area on a player which isn't recognised by the computer when deciding who's ball it is. Most noteably I see this happen when it comes off a players chest/arm after sliding.

Perhaps if u dont like the game then maybe u shud vent ure anger on the FIFA forums and not here meowd!

the only problem I have with this game is that it is called soccer and the refs who are horrendous. but u have to appreciate th realsim of this game coz not evrything goes ure way all the time in football.

u cant get everytin perfect all the time. u have to be patient and learn new formations and styles.
