i grabbed maldini reborned when he was still club-less. in the off season friendly against arsenal, this 17 yr old 'prospect' made henry non-existent in the match. and i grabbed maradona after a few italian clubs bought the likes of zico, pele etc.

You gotta hit up the Asians at the start to keep your salary down and make cheap buys. They all cost 200 pts, which I learned is accurate to real life (socialist-type wages). However, for realism, I recommend removing the duplicate Asian players from their national teams and installing the club versions (more realistic stats). That being said, Kim Do Heon (Korea) has been phenomenal. Also, Alpay (Turkey, CBT) is ridiculously good with an amazing curve. Rooney obviously, although he doesn't have really any special skills, which is more important than I realized with young players. Gilardino is my other striker and he's been exceptional with many skills and youth and cheap-ness. Cech is also a wonderful keeper, though his stats don't grow much.

by the time Maldini is 'reborned', Henry probably is ageing...so he is declining, not as good as his peak, therefore, easy for this supre-Maldini to froze Henry...

I don't like Rooney. Isn't clinical enough. Gilardino is quality but he is rotting away on the subs bench aged 26. Shame really, Juve are interested they've made offers in two different negotiation periods. Might move him on soon.

Yea i've got Gilardino and he's scoring 30+ goals per season. Cassano, Bojinov, Milner, Kaebi are great great buys. If you want a great Dribbler then try going for Hleb, he ain't young but good enough, plays in Bundesliga. And Karimi too, Very agile. Chivu is a class defender. I think Van Damme is good too.

Park Ji Song is good to, i think he is the only one who had attack and defense 80+ at the start of the game.

I had Park Ji Sung at the start of my ML, was a quality player for the first two seasons, when your younger players aren't quite good enough. After this time though, he stopped developing and all the great youngsters (Cardozo, Soares, v der Vaart, Fabregas) just get better than him and I think I released him on a free.

He's playing for Udinese now in Serie A

Baumjohann is easilly the best player in the game after 3-5 seasons i got him in my first season he scored 25-30 goals he was up-front with castolo who scored bout 15 and after just that season nearlly all his stats were above 80 and three were above 90 and in the second season his stats go up at the same rate as the first so he should hav 2-3 99 stats by the end of the second season ( if he plays alot of games and scores goals ). So who is better than that?

Buy Carew and Wiltord, and your team is all fixed.

If you want cheap, Mantzios and Papadopoulos.

Do not buy Cardozo he does not improve well at all even though i started my ML with him he is crap!
I had Stewy Downing on my old ML and he did well and i have to say well worth buying. As well as Baumjohann = top class

People should make sure that they buy the correct Cardozo !

There is a pants striker and then there's the amazing winger ... get the winger !! ;)

Bentley from Norwich. Very cheap, and his progression is pretty damn good so far. Only had him for 15 games ...

Have 16 goals with him at the mid season transfer interval. Whats more have 5 or 6 assists with him.

His staminia is crap which means you have to manage him well (which adds to the realisim!). I bring him off the bench at times, late on when the other players have slowed and he cleans up with 1 or 2 goals in 5 minutes.

In WE8I, my best buy was Bojinov. A consistent goal a game finisher even when used as a sub. In WE8LE somehow not so great and didn't develop well.

Kompany, Van der Bore, Nasri , Barry all great too . Also Pique and Orlandi.

In WE9, my best youngster is an 19 year old German called Schwarz. Not sure if this is supposed to be Baumjohann or not. But he's got great strength, balance and shot power of the bat. Touch and control a bit dodgy at first but has been scoring great goals for me. Although he takes 10 chances to put one away, I still stick with him cos he's won me important matches. Curve is slow/long lasting. After 2nd season with training has improved a lot.

Sometimes need to play to his strengths, when up against more physical defences, I throw him on istead of Robinho who'd get tossed off the ball more often.

Wesley Sneijder also is a great buy, 2-legged midfielder who is good in free kicks,
Lewis he is a must have goal keeper, he is 1,93m and just 16 years old he is growing very fast
Furthermore Heitinga, Law, Torres, Owusu Abeyie, Messi, Pomatski, Fabregas, Zambrella, Kompany and Pique, All great youngsters !

My Baumjohann is simply immense...unbelievable.

Fabregas is amazing too, and Vomme at the back has at least 85 for everything!! (Even attack, shooting, free kicks and stuff, no idea why! Shame his keeper skills haven't gone up :D)
