Time for Konami to stop releasing PES every year?

The PS2 versions of PES were good were they not? So why now is that engine now not good on next gen consoles?

That's like saying you fancied your wife when she was in her 20's but now she's older (let's say 60's LOL) she needs plastic surgery. xD

Didn't it used to be every year and a half or something, don't think it used to be two years mind, then again I can't remember fully.

I agree with the first poster to be honest, taking two years to make a solid PES will be more beneficial for everyone than making two average PES games in that two year time space. People still play PES6 online, doesn't that already speak volumes? Fair enough it might not be as financially profitable, but PES is declining in sales I believe at the moment anyway, whilst at the same time losing credibility at alarming rates. Something needs to change.

Personally I quite liked PES 2009, or the single player at least, obviously the online was completely broken. Whereas with PES6 on the Xbox 360, the single player was poor but the online mode was so damn good everybody was playing hundreds of matches, and still do, for good reason. But while PES 2009 was quite good in my eyes, that isn't good enough, the PES of old on the PS2 was simply amazing - we're not getting that anymore. It seems like we're being greedy but when EA can step it up (which rarely happens), then surely Konami can - whether it be one, or two years, if it's good people will buy it.

Fair points from a few people, but if you dont like pes, then buy fifa, and if you like neither...buy tennis? i am more than happy with pes being released every year as it always has solid (offline) gameplay, always great for banter with the mates, i would dred having to wait 2 years for its release, so as i say fair points, but if you are the fed up with the product after a year, then dont buy it...i understand you may be dissapointed, but such is life.

Agreed. I have been a big PES fan from the first game way back on PS1. And yes, though they haven't made any major improvements on PES10 judging by the demo, there is something about it that still makes me play it constantly. Comments about no major improvements are fair, but these comments are made every year, but we still buy it. I can guarantee that most of us would have bought PES every year, major improvements or not
