Just got mine through today.

First impressions: WANK. I've never, I repeat NEVER been disappointed with any of the previous 7 THPS games, not even on first impressions. It looks like I'm playing back on the old PS1. They've put too much effort into the cut-scenes looking spiffy and taken it out of the actual game.

Very upset atm :(

Anyone else got it yet? If so, what's your take on the latest installment?

i thought it was supposed to be good but i think they are focusing more on the action/story type thing rather than actual skateboarding

With that said, I've been anticipating this game for months so I'll still rent it as I always do. You also say you've never been disappointed with any previous Tony Hawks games ? To be honest, the last couple have been so bad you want the creators to suffer by shitting through their dicks. How can you say you weren't disappointed by the last few ? Bah!

The skating in this one is shit. Atleast in the previous two your had decent levels, with decent lines, and it felt good to play. This on the other hand, feels like shit.
