After ten years of PES i've called it a day, glad i rented first, i'll not be picking up FIFA either as its shite and i'd rather suck satans cock than suppot EA.
I won't be giving Konami or EA cash and other people should'ent, its seem there's no decent footie game to play this Crimbo so fuck it, i'm gonna move genre's and play some of the much more innovative games coming out recently that make a fucking effort to use the power of the PS3

that was awesome! first time i've ever read a thread all the way through when it's more than like 2 pages long. it's amazing how much agression can be generated in this sort of environment.

if i'm honest, i am slightly disappointed with PES2010, but i'll still have alot of fun playing it i'm sure. that sort of behaviour is just absolutely retarded. i mean i'm a very emotional person, but christ on a stick!

He's clearly not a FIFA fanboy which taints your post greatly. He's clearly expressed in a few threads that FIFA came out with too many bugs for his liking and that in his opinion it isn't a good enough game.

He simply says PES 2010 is worse and having played PS3 FIFA and PC PES 2010, both of which are meant to be current-gen (PC FIFA is last-gen, PS2 games are last-gen), I agree about PES 2010 being worse.

The speed issues and rigidity are absolutely shocking, not to mention how I cynically hacked down the CPU in my area without getting anywhere near the ball and didn't concede a penalty.

^Pes 10 is nothing like what you're saying. I know it has bad animations. But speed issues? No way. It's perfect on my ps3 and on my cousins ps3. Also I have played the pc version and it's totally the same. So in your case, I do not know. But don't classify the game like that when you know that most people aren't experiencing what you are.
And also I find this really annoying. No one who slates pes mentions it's good parts. It's just not fair.

Stop. I've mentioned faults of the game and you aren't listening. I'm not exactly the only one on this site who is talking about speed issues on the PC version so I don't trust you've played the PC version. These are issues NONE of us should be having and are the fault of Konami -accept that or don't respond to me.

What isn't fair is Tech_Skill being labelled a FIFA fanboy just because he doesn't like PES. This place is riddled, as you'd expect it to be, with PES fanboys but I'm tired of people blindly defending any game. Yes this forum is about PES but people need to wake up.

FIFA was slagged off mercilessly when it was an arcade game and it deserved to be. PES is now the arcade game but suddenly that's fine because it would mean criticising the holy grail otherwise. That is also what is unfair.

For the last time. Pes 10 is not arcade. It's is good. Fifa is also good. Play what you like BUT NEVER CALL YOUR LESS FAVOURITE GAME AN ARCADE THIS YEAR because both are simulations in their own ways. Play what you like. It ends as simple as this.

Hes clearly not a fanboy of fifa as im pretty sure he said he binned it and would sooner wip his arse with it then play it again.

cant really comment to much on pes 2010 as ive only played 1 game even though i bought it on release day. only got it was it was £29 but ive been busy playing other games which is very strange especially on pes release day.

I think Tech is just pissed off as there are just not any good footbal games on a next gen consol which is really stupid imo. considering the technology at gamemakers disposal they should be making much better games.

I've never heard such negativity. In my opinion PES 2010 plays a bloody good game of football. Yes, it's far from perfect and there are things that need improving, but what we all wanted was a big improvement from PES 2009/08 and a next-gen PES game. I think Konami have delivered on both fronts.

Some people just love to moan. People like Techskill, if given a faultless block of gold, rather than being happy would probably still come out with some s**t like "It's too shiny. I didn't think it'd be this heavy."

listen Shaun7 i know you have been waxing lyrical about PES10 since ... well.... before the demo. i dont agree with u on most things, i think you are overating the game and downplaying the downsides.

that said i had a good few games last night, online and offline with 2 humans at my end.

the tackle/penalty bug was really apparent
one goal was from a 60 yard free kick that the keeper just? misjudged?! (no it was not dida)
bad collisions insanely apparent
everyone is Barca, Madrid or similar. those teams look like they are running at 100mph compared to my Atletico de Madrid!
through balls are terrible

players running on rails that you cannot change direction = rubbish... why should i need to press super cancel? (if it even still works).?

in 2v2 the CPU runs both you and your teammate AT the ball. like seriously i want to run away from it so he can pass it to me. Does the ball now have its own gravitational pull that forces my players in?

delayed shooting - ive said this time and time again. if i simply tap shoot, even if its on my dudes bad foot, want him to shoot instantaneously. Not power it up, think about it, pass it over to his other foot and then tinkle it at the keeper.

fast taps for shoot and pass should be reacted to by the players as responsively as the buttons were pressed. not a huge delay. i play football 6 and 7 a side 2x a week for the last 5 years. i know how to pass and shoot fast without taking a touch, even with a bad foot. surely professionals can do this also?

BTW I have both fifa 10 and pes 10. Both are good and both have their bad points aswell. What's good in pes is bad in fifa and what's good in fifa is bad in pes.

I think your fighting a losing battle Shaun mate. It suddenly seems to be the cool thing to hate PES. I get the feeling from some of these threads that no matter how good PES was, people had made their minds up before it was even released to hate it. The people who say they returned it after a couple of hours are a joke. I've had the game 8 days and I'm still getting used to the new gameplay!

I thought PES 2008 was useless and PES 2009 certainly had many problems but I was still willing to wait for the release of PES 2010 before I slated Konami. I'm glad I did because I've been pleasantly surprised

I mastered the tactical sliders a bit more last night too. Putting player support up to 60%+ really makes a difference. You suddenly have players rushing forward to support you on attacks. These improvements aren't being mentioned though it's just the negatives from some people!

i wouldnt play it if i didnt like pro evo. i am merely passing on my thoughts from a game i spent out on and now am playing.

i dont know how old u are, im guessing about 12 years old right now.

but really those issues i have highlighted are not minor they effect virtually every game that takes place and do not benefit the PES series.

we dont need warriors trying to defend PES to the last, like you seem to have taken on as a full time job. We need the community to rally round, admit that these things are very bad for the PES series and shout about them as a collective to Konami. only they can fix it.

I have to say Shaun that without a doubt as much as you say otherwise, you are one of the most biased Pes fanboys, if thats what you want to call it, i have ever read in these forums.

You try and disguise it by being diplomatic but when push comes to shove your true colours are revealed. For weeks you were harping on about judging the full game when its released. Now its released and being judged, and like Don Sweeny correctly states its being judged fairly on the fact it isnt very good, people dont like it.

Whenever a review has been published people have been quick to dismiss them. Biased you call them, on EA's payroll you say, i've never believed them anyway because of this or that in the past.

You have to face up to reality. Regardless of whetehr YOU enjoy t or not in the eyes of teh world its a flawed, average game that needs a revamp. If it doesnt get it then i fear for its furure as it loses more and more people every year and regardless of whether you like Fifa or not its making great strides and has a lot of scope for its future.

i think the trouble therein lies with next gen consoles...in the search for realistic gameplay and improved everything. I firmly believe this new powerful animation leads to increased fiddlyness, ive played 09 on my ps2 and i still think it runs like a gem, aesthetic wise its garbage compared but im having more fun as its more straight forward and there are less variables impeding. I picked this up when ive first started playing 09 on PS3, maybe im retarded but its not as easy to control the players and the gulf in power of the machines added to this. Alright the concept of 360 movement is good but cmon! Itll increase the frustration of trying to run straight. Part and parcel of wanting increased, more powerful xyz..
