well konami coudl've stated the reason why they have delayed it....so us customers don't get too worried

And to konami should've set a release date they can stick to.....instead of delaying and delaying which loses the customers trust

and to be honest i am not that annoyed that they have delayed it...its just that they show signs of inconsistency and unreliability which concerns me most

Its a free update ffs, your not paying for it and Konami are not obliged to make it. So stop whinging about not getting it right away. Dear god, do all of you have ADD or something? I swear the only reason some of you even bother to come here is just to bitch at Konami because you have the attention span of a mayfly.

Ive said it before and ill say it again; There are no obligations on Konami to patch or update the game at all, and there are no laws which state they must patch no matter what country you are in.

The world does not revolve around you.

What I don't understand is why they waited until today to announce it. I was waiting all of this time for them to announce the delay (which I knew would come) and then thought perhaps they did things right for once and actually picked a conservative date. Instead they let everyone know the day it is supposed to be released. What's going on? Did they almost finish and then not get it done the night before? If that's the case, shouldn't we get it in a day then? If it's going to take another week or two, how could they not know until the night before? Questions like these are what bother us. It just looks like no one at KONAMI has any idea of what they're doing or how to handle very basic PR.

Yes, KONAMI is not obligated to give us the patch, but that's not the issue. The issue is that from the outside they appear to be COMPLETELY incompetent. Everything they release is always late and full of bugs, and the only thing they could get on time, the European release date (which releasing late would have been unacceptable and unheard of from companies and games of this size) came out full of bugs, so they have to release a patch, which they have to recall because it's full of bugs, and then they come out with another patch, which they tell us the day of its release that it's not out and don't tell us when it's coming.

Have any of you ever seen this type of incompetence and PR folly on this big a scale? From a company this big? FIFA is terrible but at least it looks like it's run by professionals.

Why do people keep comparing this update with the fifa update system?? THEY ARE DIFFERENT !!!!

All we are getting is an update which fixes transfers and adds 4 teams to the UFEA champions league mode all of which should have been in the game to start with if it wasen't for EA and there legal pay offs. We will be lucky if we ever see another update like this in the future of 2009. If they do i would expect a price.

FIFA however are giving WEEKLY STATS UPDATES based on real life performances of players. So if Rooney scores a hat-trick at the weekend then you can expect Rooney's stats on fifa to go up. Making a price for it is well within reason for what you get. Also fifa players automatically throughout the transfer windows instead of stats update they get weekly player updates then it goes back to stats updates when the transfer window closes.

Everyone knows about fifa updates.. and its only on adidas live season and you only get one league free rest you have to pay for.

Also what is everyone getting worked up about, it's not gonna be a big update, it will change some players add more teams and some other small update, no major change, it will be exactly the same game except for minor tweaks, so no point ranting because a small update was delayed, and if you want to complain about konami then hows about YOU make a decent football simulation, aye, you wont be laughing then.

surprise surprise, why dont they over estimate release dates and then when its released early we would praise them, or it would be at least released on time. when they underestimate the time period needed and give us a date they exceed it just infuriates people!
