I'm just wondering though, see if one Mod makes a decision, shouldn't that be whatever was in question over ? like Phatman knew i double posted by mistake, then other mod booked me after i was let off by one mod

I deserved the booking obviously but it was just a case of when i posted, i noticed there had been a new post before hand, i was reading that, then get in the zone and jus forgot to hit the edit button before typing. I dont mind the booking but what happened with one mod deciding one thing, and the other deciding another kinda confuzzeled me :)

Phatmann shouldn't have let you off. You yourself could have edited the second post and asked for it to be deleted.

I haven't seen it, nor do I care to, so I'm talking generically. There may be special circumstances but it doesn't sound like there are. If we let one go, we get more shit further down the line and to that end, Phatmann is totally wrong in my eyes.

He said in the 2nd post that he'd made a mistake so why does he deserve to be booked when he had made a genuine error? Later in the thread he remembered to edit his post rather than making a double post too. As far as I'm concerned, if he's said he's sorry and it was a mistake, he is asking for his posts to be merged or for one of the posts to be deleted. I think the booking was harsh.

I gave the yellow as I initially only saw the the double post, it was only after that I had noticed he'd apologised for doing so. But I thought a double post was a double post no matter what.

In an ideal scenario, it wouldn't be because the user would edit the second post and request it be deleted while moving all of the contents from that second post into the first post via editing. Repeatedly saying sorry but double posting is a booking. There may be regulars trying to take advantage of this and they'd need to be stopped quickly.

I was just wondering how one Mod can do one thing, another mod can do another, then ANOTHER can come and remove it all together

Is it just whos top of the food chain or something with the admins ? i was jus wondering thats all. like in football, the reff lets you off with a warning, then the next day another Reff decides to play by the book and dish out a booking

As for this thread, I'm closing it as I've literally had enough over the last few days. If another admin wants to re-open it that is up to them but the least it needs is a few days away.

Questions about why a user has been booked or banned are unwelcome. Queries about bookings against your own account are acceptable.
