WE7/PES3 Beginners Patching Guide - Updated *April 10th 2004*

Anyone who posts a question like "How do I Import Kits" from now on will be banned! This guide includes everything you need to know to be able to patch and edit your game. Although much of the information was already somewhere on this forum, it is now in a simple one document guide.

Update: It seems the link for DVDScan2 in the guide sometimes does not work. You can get a working download of DVDScan2 in the attachment accompanying this thread.

hey this guide i great but the dvdscan2 site were u say to download it doesnt work when i download it, it says a file is missing.

were can i download dvdscan from somewere else?

Hi,

This guide is really amazing, thanks dude, but still i have a couple of questions. Its not about how to import kits , but about some CDmage.

The problem begins with how to make PES a CD:

13) Run cdmage, open 'soccer.iso' file-its in mode1 2048.
In left window Left mouse click on 'IMAGE' then 'session1' then 'track1' so its highlighted.

14) Goto File-> Save As -> Choose a filename eg 'patchable PES3cdrip',stick it on desktop or in new folder eg 'newpatchablebin',you will note it says cdrwin and fireburner cuesheet file in other box...leave that as it is.

15) Click save then in next window popup-> choose convert track to mode1/2048->mode2/2353 -click OK.
[Edit:- The last one should really be mode 2/2352]

Everything works and i had no problems, the .iso file 'soccer3.iso'was created (i checked it with proporties), i can also open this file in CDmage, but <b>i can't save it</b>!!!! Like step 13, i highlighted it, and when i go to option 'save as' (see step 14), it's blank (it's not selectable). That meens i cant use this option, so i cant following step 14 and 15 and so on. And btw it's not 'save as' but 'save boot disc'. Errr, help, i'm stuck!!!

Ok people, stop this "the link does not work" shit, if a link does not work then search for yourself, this is really pissing me off that some people cannot find anything for themself, and mostly it´s their fault that the link does not work, maybe checking your browser configuration before complaining would be helpful, this link for dvdscan works for me and is here on the forum in the sticky thread about ripping !
Searching for dvdscan download in google gave me about 20 results.

larson i got dvd scan 2 to load now. sorru i anyoued u m8

right i got dvdscan2.
it says browse so i browse for the sles file
i open that and press scan file
then it comes up and says patch so i did that but when i go back in to folder i dont have the socccer.ISO file
were is it?

Hi im avin a bit od trouble with the guide


12) Copy this into new folder called 'tobepatchedPES3cdiso', you can delete everything that remains in 'patched dvdrip PES3'folder.


if done number 12 but number 14 seems not to work, i hightlight
it but there is no save as hightlight and i dont see save as.
whats the problem u think?

i have the same problem as everyone with cdmage, 'cos there isn't the option 'save as', so what?

i have found the solution!!! delete the cdmage version that you have, and install the BETA version. and that's all!!!! good luck

sorry about that.
right im down to the Ppf-o-matic part, i dont know were this patch is for the cd that im supposed to apply
can some one tell me were it is on lomungtung.no-ip.com, i had a look and found pes3 retail patch theres 2 though.. is that what i need?

That is a folder inside lomungtung - inside there you'll find loads of patches. Check the threads in the Editing section for a guide to which patch contains what.
Latest and best for PES3 is the jonboyo 5.1.04 version, possible with the 8.1.04 update (for a Sky Sports look).

sorry for stupidity, but which folders are the jonboyo's patches in on lomungtun (?), I seem to have found quite a few folders by him but they are named after the date he made them I think and I've gotten a bit confused...
