I think that I wouldn`t have to add something more to what you guys already said, but, as I play WE series now for the first time (I have always played PES), I think that game aproved a lot, thought I cant say it towards WE8, but PES4 But, I think I`ll have my final oppinion when I get my hands on PES5.

i don't really think there are too many fouls. you just can't constantly rush the opponent using X you have to time it right and wait for the chance like real football. there is the odd harsh decision by the ref but like i said it happens in real football. I think the game is very realistic.... and totally kicks ass!

i absolutely hate how when i thread an amazing through pass to a man with just the keeper to beat, half the time the CPU defender is able to go back and commit a foul against the ORIGINAL passer.... but only long after it's clear i'm going to score (the other half of the time i'm ruled offsides).

I mean I can't foul their passer 5 seconds after his through-run has succeeded. the most frustrating part is because of the AI limitations regarding offsides, many great through passes are called back without that cheap foul.

typically the cpu deals out that bogus offsides where they show the replay and your guy is clearly on or before the last defender- right down to them even showing you the red line. yet they drop the flag anyway

While i'm at it (although I aknowledge it's damn near impossible to teach a computer the subtle details of an offsides rule), this was still ridiculous:

one time a CPU defender fired a clearing shot off the back of his own teammate's head and I was ruled offsides when it landed directly at my striker's feet.

There are rules they could institute for offsides amid the AI limitations:
1) make it impossible to call offsides on the short corner return pass
2) make it impossible for your teammate to be offsides if BOTH of you are behind the last defender while you are dribbling the ball.

How terrible does #2 feel when it happens to you. The one damn time you manage to evade all defenders and carry the ball w/ a teammate ahead of you: a 2 on 0

...And you can't pass it??? Plus, if you don't pass it they will catch up, kick your feet together (from behind of course with no attempt at ball), receive NO card for the takedown, and face a harmless 40+yd free kick. God that is annoying
