Alright so I was playing online on the 360 the other night, I had the volume on the tv down as my mum was in the next room asleep... anyways, I was drawing 5-5 with a guy and I was running down the line in injury time: so Juninho swings it in(I was Lyon) and Fred headers it into the goal so I started going a bit over the top because I was glad he'd scored, but then I realised that it never counted because the ref had blown this whistle!!! I was fucking furious, normally the whistle doesn't get blown unless the ball's near the middle of the pitch, but you don't expect it to get when a cross is in mid air! So it just seemed a bit weird that that happened.

I remember on ISS 98 on the Playstation I was doing a World Cup thingy with my bro and it was injury time between Yugoslavia + Scotland, I was one on one(but running from halfway line) so he brings his keeper out and I notice it so I lob him and the ball bounces over his head-then the whistle goes for full time-then the ball goes in! Just strange these things happen really.

i can understand that! it happened to me to, I've taken a long shoot with Gerrard with GK out, the ball was going in when the referee whistle the end of the game with a 0-0 game!!! (we where playing a championship)

anyway we had a big laugh about it because we had like 8 bars in that match!! its like it was meant to be!!

Happened to me on PES5, Jenas chested it and volleyed from halfway and whistle went in mid air, and much to my amazement, the next shot was at the keeper, as he was walking to the tunnel, and the ball went in to the net..

Yea^ with that one the keeper didn't try to go for the ball though

with mine he was in nomans land and was beaten... I just couldn't believe it, the fact I had the tv turned down and I was listening to music with earphones in didn't help it just made me confused when I noticed it didn't count.

...it could be coz I'm Scottish though.

I tested that out one time. I thought myself that the Ref would only blow the whistle when in the middle area of the pitch, but if you take to long and stay in either final 3rd then he will eventually get fed up and just sack it.

@charlie, there was a scheduled 3mins of injury time and the only thing that happened in that time was me getting a corner-them clearing it-me picking it up-crossing it-scoring
