What features would you like to see implemented in PES 2010 masterleague?

Would you like a complete overhaul of the masterleague as we know it? Perhaps adopt a more Fifa style approach in its manager mode? Or maybe just fix some subtle aspects like using proper currency? or maybe u want more interaction with your players Football Manager style?

These are just a few of many points to think about on what you want for Pro Evo masterleague 2010.

Send me on your thoughts.

Yeah more interaction like football manager would be brilliant.

And more detailed transfers wouldn't be a bad addition :)

is true, i would like to see more football manager style transfers as well. Perhaps an inclusion i have not mentioned is where the next masterleague runs on a day to day basis instead of the current week to week prevalent in pes 2009. This would give them the scope to do transfers on a day to day business, and carry out negotiations accordingly thus being more easy to add in more features.

Things I'd like to see changed:

- Taller league structures, even at the risk of reducing the amount of "foriegn leagues", although I don;t think that's necessary:
There are 5 leagues of 20, plus 20 or so "Other teams" (so roughly 120 teams), so you could have:
3 "foreign leagues" of 20
Top division of 20
Second tier league of 12
Third tier league of 8

That's just 100 teams.

Another suggestion is that you can choose what the tier structure is, so you could choose the set-up from PES5, PES2008 style set-ups, and so on.

- Option to change currency. I personally would keep the current system, but the option to change should be there.

- More detailed transfers. One thing I would like to see, at the very minimum:
You make your offer, then at the beginning of the next week, it says whether the transfer has gone through or not, but it gives you the option to pull out at the last minute. This would be useful if you had one week left of the window, and you desperately needed someone in a particular position, e.g. goalkeeper. Then you could make offers for three or so keepers, and if more than one of the offers is successful, you can pull out of some.

- More detailed internationals. I have previously suggested that, if you do very well with your club on ML, you get offered international roles, and you can participate in major tournaments and one-off friendly... like in BaL mode (while still managing your club).

These are the key changes I'd like to see. Sorry for the messy way I've wrote it.

in terms of your opinion on transfers, i do agree with your logic. At the minute the transfer system is half hearted and well hasnt changed much since pes 3...Being offered international roles would add more dimension certainly to the masterleague. I think it justs needs a structure where evidently it is like real life. What i mean by this that under all the main leagues there is the championship under the England League, Serie B below Serie A. This is instead of having random teams in the division you begin on initially and preventing teams like PES United from getting into the England League, just to keep it authentic.

id like to be able to switch team, for example ive won everything with arsenal id like to play with lets say Roma, then i could build my squad again from scratch but id be in the year 2014 instead. it would certainly make master league more exciting and would probably make me play it for alot longer.

yea it tends to be the case that when you start 1 masterleague when u finish it and win everything thw whole appearl is gone.

Again adopting an approach where perhaps you can apply for other jobs would be intriguing. Indeed i think Konami should put in Managers and some coaches in the teams to create the option where you can recruit staff.

right for starters the currency change makes more sense...
more lower league teams to make the div 2 more acceptable ie english prem and an english div two to top all the european teams mixing into an english league..

more chance to train players other than only match exp, using the training menu to build up lesser players like the off season option

better structure to the euro comps as always there is same nationality teams in groups and the idea is to play different teams from different leagues.

a chance to spend money to increase money ie build up stadiums, sgn new sponsorship deals etc.

a made up reserve team of players with the potential to become good players with match exo getting better when brought into the first team squad and able to train them up on the training menu.

more realistic transfers, teams like chelsea etc going for big named players like ronaldinho, eto'o

i could go on all day theres so much that needs improving lol

I agree that it would be better if all the Championship teams were available (and the foreign equivalents), I'd like to play as South Yorkshire Blue. It's pretty unlikely, but I would love that to happen. It would also help make Master League more authentic.

Ideally, I think there should be two options, Manage Mode, which has all these changes that people want, with realistic leagues, proper currency and ability to switch clubs, but still retain Master League mode, for people who like a lot of ML as it is, like me.

Aside from slightly improvements, there are a few other things I'd like to see completely added;

Press conferences: perhaps your answers could have an impact on your team's morale, perhaps in the form of their condition arrows

Staff: like in so many other games, you could have ratings for Scouts, Coaches, Physios... and you can spend money on upgrading them.

Training: you should have the option to let staff do your team's training automatically for you, so players not in the first team still improve. But also, you should be able to do the training yourself - bringing back the training challenges, so if you do well, stats go up more.

Loans: should be able to place players on a loan shortlist

Receiving offers: should be able to haggle, not just 'delay'

Moving the masterleague more close to fifa's style manager mode seems to be a main point being raised. Fans want authenticity not where teams like Boca Juniors can be promoted to the league with all english premier league teams. Also the currency system is outdated and i still find it confusing when making a transfer as for how much to bid for a player. Not including proper currency is laziness on Konami's part.

A final point i have not yet mentioned, why the hell is the UEFA Champions league not prevalent in the Masterleague as well as having it as a stand alone tournament?

The masterleague needs to be like football manager. The current layout is crap! it doesnt have the same appeal! No interaction with players...we need more options konami, this just isnt good enough

:shocking: you just gave the best ideas i have ever heard!!! if konami does put this in it will be better than fifa by far! it'll be amazing if it actually goes through.
another idea- in the side picture in the ML menu, where it sais stuff like "we find out the D1 cup top scorer- drogba secret..."- i would like them to make an artical/ statistics about the player... sounds good?

yea at the minute konami is just resting on its laurels of having decent gameplay. In terms of having the same masterleague again and again really annoys me.

What would make the ML addictive for me is if they brought back Memorial match. For me it has been the best feature of any game ive played in my entire life. I couldnt put a price on the feeling of getting my ML team to the level where my reserves had 99s down the page and then playing my m8 round his house with him using his own crafted ML team.

We played 300 matches and at times it got a little heated like when i came back from 4-0 down to win 4-5 he threw his tubb of hair gel out his room and it shattered all over the place. God those matches were good. We were so so so addicted to the master league cos we had to sign players to play eachother with. I managed 36 seasons on Pes 6 and ever since they've taken out that feature ive lost interest in the series. Those days doing memorial match were some of the funnest gaming memories i have.

Bring back memorial match to make ML addictive!

Anything approaching PES Manager should be a no-no; it was awful.

Points mean it doesn't base itself on real-world figures and stringently having to stick to them.

Personally I like the idea of pretending it's the Winning Eleven Football Association and the PES world that creates - an alternate reality version of football today.

That said, making the ML have Div 1&2 for England, France Spain, Italy, Holland, Germany and others would make the European championships more interesting, facing other country's teams instead of how I do it and add the best teams to league A and share the rest around B, C and D.

Being able to enlarge the weekly snapshot; it means little, but my ideal has always to see PES have more of these cut-scenes, following a dream I had many moons ago of an ending sequence that played when you won a league depicting your star player leaving a hotel and going home via the countryside in a red sports car. Imagine my delight when I got promoted as champions in div 2 this year and saw the player's celebrating in the changing room!

Adjust player appearances within ML, rather than having to exit to the Main Menu > Edit section.

Create your appearance as manager. Now we see him by the touchline in goal celebrations, we should get to create him.

give the fixture list a proper calendar like the prem, such as many games over the xmas period. The stamina would need to be fixed, players such as frank lampard have played in over 30 back to back games.

Great idea in that!

Also like your idea of having a "winning elevens football assocation" makes the whole league seem more professional, realistic and still maintain the uniqueness to the pes series.
