so the state of SOCCER games is up in the air these days, one game has all the licenses, some full, some partial. the other game has about 3 full licenses. how about if sony and/or microsoft made their own football game? first party development means they can bypass the contractual barriers that some leagues have with other developers.
an example of this would be the major league baseball license; its exclusive to 2k games yet sony has a first party dev that makes an mlb game fully licensed on its own, and its superior to the 2k sports version.
can you imagine if sony/microsoft would just go ahead and develop a first party football game? any license can be accessed and agreed upon with no restrictions, and it would add another option into the mix, further increasing competition and innovation among all the games.
..a man can dream...
