I'm a fan of graphics in general yeah. I see a big difference though between old gta's and this. That pleases me, couldn't ask for more. They've improved them aswell as keeping that GTA style look.

Multiplayer seems solid just now though. I've read many reviews and seen it in action. definitely something to look out for.

Who isn't a fan of good graphics? It's just while they're better than previous installments (to be expected) I still don't think they're good.

I must say that seeing it in person, the graphics look pretty sweet on the 360 in my opinion. Far superior than older installments and if the usual game play and storyline is there then I expect to be kept busy for the coming weeks.

Graphics are a joy to behold.

I must be the only one that isn't really getting the hype for this game at all. I thought the hype surrounding the likes of Halo 3 was ridiculous but Grand Theft Auto IV seems to have taken the cake with hype.

I've looked on other forums with nearly most threads in the first page being related to Grand Theft Auto IV and people nearly getting sexual pleasures of finding out that the game has been leaked but for some reason, I'm just not really that excited for Grand Theft Auto IV.

I was anticipating San Andreas so much that when my pre-order never came on the day of release, I went to the shop and bought it anyway and selling the pre-ordered copy which came a week later but this time round I have barely looked for anything on GTAIV. I watched the debut trailer on their site when it was first released but that was it. Probably read a few other things here and there but haven't seen any other trailers (Apart from the one that has appeared on TV recently which I just kind of ignore).

I'm not saying the game will be crap and that I will avoid it. I will probably get it eventually but I'm in no rush to buy the game considering I have a shit load to complete but I just want to know if I'm the only one that isn't anticipating it (Apart for people that don't like games very much) and why you are looking forward to GTAIV so much.

I just pre-ordered the 360 version earlier today and can go and collect it at midnight. My bro says he will come with us so I'll probably just do that.

Yes. I pre-ordered at Blockbusters and picked my copy of it at midnight. I have been playing since and right now almost 8.20 am is the first time I have stopped playing and I will continue to keep playing then go to work at 2pm. Online in this game is great. :D

Hmmm.

My local newspaper even had a piece on GTA

Of course, the words "ultra violent", 'brutal murders' and 'beating hookers' appeared in the piece. Apparently Australia and New Zealand are getting a stripped down version in terms of violence.

I picked up a copy while I was in town (for a fancy meal at McDonalds :erm:), surprised that they had any in I was expecting it to be sold out everywhere. I haven't played it yet but here's hoping it lives up to your expectations rather than my own.

I don't think you'll be disappointed my friend.

On-line looks like it could be a good laugh too if we can get a lot of us together.

Do you rent all games before buying, to make sure they meet their ratings?
No, not at all. But I do rent a fair few before buying them to see if I'll get my money's worth out of them as I can't be pissing away £40 left right and centre.

Just for record, he was playing GTA earlier today

Played it for an hour, and while I think it's good I certainly wouldn't give it 10/10 so far, some interesting additions and I like the way the phone works but there's still a lot to be done. For example I go on one date with Michelle and then I'm free to drive off in her car?

Yeah I found that strange too, I expected to have to continue on foot after the date, and then I was left in her car to inevitably drive it away badly and cause some pretty bad damage to it.

Niko won't be getting any with that attitude.

Haha. Everyone gives in.

Ahem. I haven't. I have remained on my moral high ground, despite the stuff that's been written on here, I know the GTA series well enough, plus general common sense, to know that it's not worth getting. I find you all inferior to me...

...because they'd sold out at my local ASDA.
