I think he was released a while ago, due to his heafty injury, I am pretty sure he was training with Flamengo (or someone else) in Brazil when PES2009 was launched.

I may be wrong about my having unlocked him then, I may still have him to unlock.

I personally am not happy with the rediculous over-90s bias of the legends... and the last time I checked, James Beattie is a pretty crap reward...

It's stupid... "Classic England" is an entirely 90s based team, with the exception of Hoddle, who instead managed during the 90s. I am amazed they remembered to include Cruyff, Maradona and Pele.

Other rediculous "legends":
Jermaine Jones, Aaron Hunt, Rudolf Skácel, Emile Mpenza, Lauren Robert, Jared Borghetti, Julius Aghahowa and Fran Merida.

While players such as Garrincha, Neeskens, Rep AND THE ENTIRE 1966 TEAM are missing.

How can you use classic players ? I don't want them in master league so i can't buy them there, how can i play with them ?

Actually, what I did on PES6, and will do on PES09, is create a few custom teams, and assign the classic players to them, then I can use them, with the Classic national teams, in tournaments and stuff.
