I used to use normal long all the time, until shortly after i got PES5 and i've converted to the broadcasting view (furtherest away from the pitch). I find its the best mix of detail and a good view of the pitch, and it also looks a bit more like a televised match. Also, you get to see the crowd in the stands, which are missing in other views.

For me it as to be wide, you need to see as many players as possible so you can be creative with your passing. Obviously your radar needs to be used for the very same thing. However I do like player cam, once I have done the league and all cups and it is all too familiar I go for Player Cam for a slightly different game.

The only bad thing about PES/WE

Well, I love to play using end-to-end camera... but we havent got any is PES.. So I have to use the Bird's Eye.. I wish someone could explain it to KONAMI that we need an alternate view than the close ups... I searched on the net in vain for a camera patch.. Found hundreds of kits/flags/boots/balls .. and NOT a single one usefull to improve the play .... I wonder if it's impossible?
Am stuck with Birds eye, coz anything else is too close to be able to long pass accurately.. Watching the radar takes the realism away.. Who plays football with a radar !
I would love to see the Birds Eye zoomable to custom distance..
I would love to have end-to-end cams on either side..
I would love to see Konami or whoever put some more effort in making this title better by making it more playable..

Broadcasting, you can see more of the pitch which means you can see your players runs more clearly than just on the radar

Normal long.

weird thing though, i just got a ps2 (i know) and Winning Eleven 8 (pes4, again, I know) - i used to have pes4 on PC, and i swear the camera angle is slightly different on this version. The goals are almost side-on in WE8 on the PS2, and i've tried changing the angle with the L1 and L2 buttons and it still looks weird. it changes the angle too much. maybe i'm just remembering it wrong, it has been over a year since i last played it...
