Hmm...Italy seem to be missing a few legends...

Totti (retired from international football)

Nesta (retired earlier this year)

Grosso (just not there)

Del Piero (Just not there)

Cassano (Just not there)

Fair enough to leave out the guys who have retired but you cant go having teams with line-ups likes Brazil, Barca, France, with all the players stats based more on media hype than ability, and then leaving out the crucial 1st team regulars listed above from one of the few teams that can be used to play against Seabass's overpowered favourites.

Del Piero has been dropped from the Italy squad as he's been in poor form, Cassano has not played in an Azzurri shirt for some time. Grosso has been injured, so that may possibly explain his exclusion however I believe that's Italy's best backline in any case, despite Oddo being a little under-rated.

I'm more interested in the inclusion of players like Mauri, Delvecchio ahead of Ambrosini and that Gilardino has been included ahead of Lucarelli and Del Piero. I feel the whole system for International sides is poor, for each match, even exhibitions you should have a pool from which to select your squad. Not every player of that nationality, but a pool of those with International credentials.

One of Pro Evo's weaknesses is the setup of international teams and the crazy exclusions. Whether or not I like him and whether or not I think he should be in the starting eleven, Del Piero should be there. Cassano shouldn't but Ambrosini definitely should. The inclusions of Mauri and Del Vecchio are a farce.

Yeah..but it is ProEv...Seabass has a list of players he considers to be legends and that list dont really change much regardless of how players perform on the park.....Players like Del Piero, due to having earned much media plaudits in the past, are always gonna have high stats and a little bit of 'Konami's invisible magic dust' sprinkled over them.

Bearing in mind the overpowered mighty superstars of Brazil and the fact that arguably better players from non-Brazilian nations are by and large underpowered, the full quota of a nations superstars should be available for selection no matter what unless they have retired from football altogether.

Simply in the name of balance.
