Why are games getting gay?

Mortal kombat going lighthearted on batman and superman with no fatalities and no blood, prince of persia going cell shaded, red alert having parachuted bears. What's next? Kratos vists barbie doll? discuss.

Nothing wrong with a game taking a different artistic direction (Prince of Persia). Done well they can look fantastic. Just look at the Wind Waker, XIII and Okami. Fantastic looking cel-shaded games.

Agreed that the majority of games are getting less gore due to all these higher up cunts trying to protect the kids despite the game being a certified 18 or whatever. What exactly does taking blood out of say Manhunt actually do? Does it psychologically make the potential gamers that may have a bit of insanity in them suddenly no longer have the urge to kill the first person in sight? It really only seems to be in the UK and mostly because the likes of Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto. No More Heroes in the UK replaces blood with some black shit yet I believe the North American and Japan versions still have the blood intact. Just need to hope that developers and publishers won't puss out against the BBFC when it comes to altering their material.

well it's less gory, more child friendly.I expected blood, mayhem, great structures, total immersive experience not this cartoonish shit. And this game isn't my only problem.
