I assure you, if England played Holland in a competitive game tomorrow, Holland would not win. You can mention the Denmark game all you want (and you will if you're from Scotland!) but it was 0-0 at half time with Englands full strength team. What do you expect if we put on crap like James and play with inept tactics?

I still think the England players would take it upon themselves to ignore Sven's tactical 'genius' and get stuck in. Make sure SWP and Defoe are playing and we'd nick a goal or two.

please put your pro british glasses of, your making an ass out of yourself

Ha! I'm not pro British. I hate the idea of being British, I'm English, not British.

Anyway, I'm not being biased just coz I say you won't beat us. I've been careful to word my comments correctly. I haven't said we would beat you, I have just said you wouldn't beat us (not accounting for luck either way).

It'd be a tight game but it probably won't happen anyway so why worry?!

Dutch are my tip for 2006.

I think Brazil is lot better then The Netherlands.

That may be so, but the competition is being held in Europe and the climate won't suit the South American teams.

The winner will be from europe.

Nope Im still confident it will be Brazil. Many of the brazillians from the squad play in Europe anyway.

We would batter England anyday in current form.Please. Of course this is pure speculation.

If someone knocks out Brazil early, we can win it. But so can Argentina,France,Germany and Spain.

Last time a non-European country won in a WC held in Europe....was Brazil 1970 in Sweden.

So? If you cant even beat Denmark with your full squad, how are you going to beat us? Not to say Denmark sucks, but they are average at most.

Well, i don't think that the climate is going to have such a deep impact on the competition. Especially because Germany hasn't an extreme climate in summer, whether nice weather conditions for playing football, no matter where you come from.
There will be a bunch of teams that could almost win or lose against each other, because there are no big differences in their overall strength.
Those will be probably The Netherlands, England, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, France (if they find their way to the Finals), maybe Spain, Portugal or Czech Republic can compete with those big names, and there are other teams, which are going to surprise many of us.
What I want to say is: There are so many great teams and if they play against each other in the finals, no one could tell, who is going to succeed. Most of the time it will be the form of the day, or even luck, that will decide the classic games.
Like Netherlands vs. England. Nearly unpredictable result.

Sorry for my bad English. German who's looking forward to great finals.

Oh yeah, Netherlands vs. Germany and Robben with the game of his life. I really appreciated to see him play and not diving in this particular situation in the box. He's got my sympathy. ;)

Yeah, probably if it would have been the WC final he would have fell down :D
Nearly forgot the Czechs as well, if Nedved decides to come back I think they have an even bigger chance of winning it.

hmm.. Im not sure about them winning it, I think they could get to the semi's at best really or maybe the final at a push. I'm still confident England have a chance! Forever an optimist!

I don't think you'd batter England at all. Holland couldn't batter any of the better nations. I don't think any of the bigger teams have batted another since England beat Germany 5-1. Please let me know if you can think of another.

I don't think you can base your opinion of England on the Denmark game. I think we've only lost 1 competitive game in 90 minutes since Sven took charge. That'll be 5 years come WC 2006.

I know, many people claim that robben is a diver but it's asbolutely not true

Maybe I exagerrated a bit with the battering, could be. But you are being awfully specific with this:

What do you mean? Are you telling me England is a better nation?

?? At PSV, all he did when slightly touched is falling down with loud screams, he's simply a real diver. He bettered his life though, in the Germany friendly he could have fell down but he didnt.

Maybe, he still fell down very easily after Hidding Gu(;)) told him not too. Maybe its his style of falling down, lots of moaning and screaming.

robben, maduro, landzaat, van galen, mathijssen, kuyt, kromkamp all underrated, the dutch team has worse stats then ireland :eek:hmy:

Don't know bro. Unbelieveable since we are nr.3 on the FIFA world ranklist and we crushed the german team (unlike the score though 2-2) with quick teamplay.
This is why there is a 'edit' section in we9??

they always heavily underrate the dutch talents in every game, perhaps cuz they play in the netherlands and they don't follow that obviously, look at the horrible stats for az

Things like mental quality's, tactical things, is usually what Dutch players excel in. Jan Kromkamp, Phillip Cocu and Denny Landzaat can't dribble past 3 players, but they are masters at simpel options and thinking backwards when needed. You can't really get that into a game like PES...

However, the Dutch have a pretty nice mix of creativity and simpel play at the moment and with van Basten as coach, they have a pretty positive charisma.

We do quite depend on Arjan Robben though, and with him being injured every week, I hope he makes the WC2006.
