Why I think PES5 is terrible

Its very true everything that is said. The game adapts. You want to win all the time, simply put, play Fifa. You want a challenge, you play Pro Evo. It is the real football fans game. So you have to learn to sit back and defend, instead of having the ball all the time. Learn to read for openings. You want the ball all the time, u'll love the Training part of the game. There are no annoying Defenders to intercept the ball on that part of the game. Football is a game of pateince. And sometimes u will be the better team and lose to a scrappy goal. Happens to every team in the world. It took them a while on Pro to do that, but u ahve to to take your chances. If not, you may concede a last minute winner. Tough luck!!
What i am trying to say. Is its not black and white like most computer games. On a game like Metal Gear Solid, or GTA, you beat the game and feel good. GT4 or Need For Speed, you learn the tracks, learn the short cuts and evetually become very good. But with Pro, no-one wins everytime. Thats why its so good. and thats why some people can't hack it! I hate losing, i have my tantrums at dubious penalties and 6 minutes added time but i always come back for more.
You guys don't like it, no one forces you to play it, but don't wine about it. Don't join to critise, join for the love of the game!

"defenders run with inertia force now". Umm, I don't see anything wrong with that. PES5 & WE9 are Football Simulation game, not arcade type as the previous or FIFA. I don't think anything wrong with that specifically. Try yourself running like hell and then turn back to other direction to see what happen to yourself. It's the same, right? That's realism. We're not playing arcade style football here, it's realism simulation football.

Exactly what i was going to say. A defender running at full speed can't just simply turn and run in the opposite direction in an instant.

I think PES5 is the best so far. The most unscripted of all the games. I still lose my fair share of matches, but it makes me love the game even more because i want to go back to the game and learn to become a better player. If you want instant gratification, stick with FIFA.

It's amazing that this game scripts the computer to win.

PE5/WE9 is my first foray into the franchise. I started at 3 star difficulty, lost my first two matches, tied my third, lost my fourth, then started to figure out WHY I was losing.

I've had the game maybe about a month and a half to two months now. I'm playing with a new Master League squad on 5 star difficulty, and despite starting with a relatively weak team, I won the D2 season and cup (the final cup match was incredible, 2-2 in regular time, they scored to start overtime and I tied it, never led once, won on PKs 4-1 as a couple of their shots sailed wide). I'm in 1st now in D1 Division D, and making a pretty good team out of it. Some of my games are really rough loses, but I learn from them.

The point is that not every match will give you the breaks. Sometimes they go to the other side (losing 4-1 really teaches you something about humility) and other times you get all the free balls and headers. The game FORCES you to play better football and to adapt the weaker parts of your game, which for me has been ball control to this point. Now, something I enjoy as much as (or more than) scoring a goal is taking Komura or Dagaka and absolutely shaking a defender to the pitch.

If you're getting frustrated, maybe you should adjust your playing style. I found that chasing after the computer with turbo held (esp on 5*) is a great way to wind up a man down and your opponents with a wide open chance at the keeper. I don't play conservatively on defense all the time, but I cut off passing lanes and force their players to engage mine, then I steal the ball and have a nice counter-attack to Rooney or Chu Young.
