I open this thread knowing that it may very well be removed if Konami is not the type of organization to take criticism.
Anyway...
I'm sure I am just one of the thousands upon thousands of former PES fans (and current EA FIFA Soccer fans) who is writing to criticize Konami for it's mismanagement of the PES franchise.
As an end-user of Konami's products, I don't care one bit about the challenges that Konami (the producer) faces in delivering a well-rounded and flawless product to me. I DO NOT CARE. I want something good for the money I pay.
When I was growing up, my family was obsessed with buying Japanese made products because of their quality and because Japan was famous for well-made products. From Sony and Hitachi to Toyota and Pioneer. Everything we bought was Japanese made. That was until 2008 and 2009 when I was introduced to Konami and the PES franchise. Konami proved to me that the Japanese, too, can make faulty and defective products!
To make my words short, I bring you here a list of some of the numerous problems in PES (in no particular order) that I have had the misfortune of having to deal with. I can write a book the size of the American Heritage Dictionary about the issues in this game:
1) AI is lagging and very very raw
2) Goalies (Goalkeepers) are worse than my grandmother in handling the ball and keeping the goal
3) More than 50% of shot attempts in front of an empty goal are unsuccessful because the shot is way off even thought the player is in a relatively good balance and the shot power is low.
4) The referee is simply annoying. I get tinnitus from the incessant whistling after a while of playing the game. And the programming for the referee is catastrophic. Simple challenges that don't look much like fouls get whistled and hard and obvious fouls get no whistles.
5) Many menus and menu items in the entire game are next to useless, which to me it means that a lot of man-hours have gone to waste.
6) For some reason that I cannot, for the f*cking life of me, figure out, the option to turn off replays has been eliminated. And unwanted replays are one of the most annoying things in this game.
7) All the information that is displayed after each game in Master League mode are scattered across multiple pages that you have to forward to by repeatedly pressing the X button. All that information can be displayed on one page.
8) Negotiations in ML mode fail without you having the option to tackle the underlying problem. In the real world, negotiations don't end in one back and forth between the clubs. There is haggling and bargaining. And what the f*ck does it mean when it says "Wasn't keen on the idea of facing competition for places." What the hell is that? A player is paid to do something for a team. Who knows of a soccer player in the real world who had complained about "competition" over places and positions? Geez!
Your input??
